When I went through the surgery it was actually a lot more painful and i couldn’t get my pain meds under control and could barely sleep or get comfy I hated it. I’m glad yours went so much more smoothly. I’m writing this because no one’s surgery recovery is the same and your going to have some up’s and down’s and it will suck but in the end it is worth it
Yeah I agree with @lotts. I'm glad you had a good experience with it all but I'm currently 3 weeks since my surgery and it was definitely not what I expected at all. I had some complications with things and my pain was out of control for awhile as well. I wish I had known this going in but I'm so thankful I did it in the end. It is definitely life changing.
Hey this is my 4th week after the operation and I still have a lot of problems with sitting upright for more than half an hour and with long walks. Do you have that too?
hey, i went thru this surgery three weeks ago in New Jersey also and the worst part for me was stomach pain from all the meds. i had tons of nausea and am still having some weeks and weeks later. i didn’t know how sensitive my stomach was lol. i was in there for like 7-8 days bc my chest tube still had so much fluid coming out. everyone’s diff i guess and anyways wishing for an amazing full recovery for u!!
Hi, I have my daughter 13 years old diagnosed with scoliosis and her orthopedic doctor recommended surgery for her, and as a parent, we are having so many fears and worries about it I would like to have more information about thanks

Praying everything went OKAY
hi! I’m getting my scoliosis surgery tomorrow morning I’m very scared! 😭 Tysm for this video
Hope it went well!!
How was it may I ask? ☺️
Update?
Hi 😊
I will want to know what is the different between vbt and your surgery? because I should do surgery 🥺
I did a different method of scoliosis surgery, i did the non-fusion one😭
why am I only scared about the needles ima get and the blood I’m giving 💀💀
Hi I am 25y i have this problem but now I am not prepare for surgery
May I ask who did your surgery? The correction is amazing!
I got it done by doctors ABC in New Jersey!!
Did Dr. Antonacci (or one of his partners) do your surgery?
Can this surgery be done on hypotonic teen?
congrats
Haha, thank you Becca😂
Is it a non-fusion operation? After the usual surgery, I'm afraid of the merger. I want options to keep bending
This is exactly the type of surgery, where you preserve your mobility!
I had this surgery done in 1994 in Minneapolis Minnesota, i had rods placed on my spine, this day they are still in me . I couldn't get enough pain medicine to make me comfortable enough 😭
it's not the same surgery :) this surgery was created 2010

Hi Anna. Who did your surgery?
I have scoliosis too 😢
I got the same surgery I was so scared
yay anna
Did you grow at all? My curve is about 50° and I think I’m a few inches shorter because of it 🙂
Yes I did!!! I grew almost two inches! My curve was right around 50 also, so you are probably a bit shorter from it.
ur so cool
I’m getting spinal fusion in June were you scared xx
I was definitely a little nervous going into it, but I had watched so many youtube videos about the surgery that I knew what to expect!
Really scared surgery next week. 😅
Good luck!!
@@annabowman371 thanks! 😊

I was 16 :)
Im 9 and I have scoliosis I’m really scared to get surgery did it hurt really bad?
Please, can I ask you a few questions?
Am I able to get this asc surgery. I have a double curve but i stopped growing. I'm 19 years old,
Yes it doesn’t matter if u are still growing or not
Did you do the traditional surgery or the minimal invasive surgery?
I did the ASC surgery, so it wasn’t as invasive as the regular surgery!
Hyy
