I'm impressed. The little car that could. I am surprised at how many boaters power their boats so hard on the trailer with people in the bow. In Michigan, some places it's illegal to do so because it causes erosion and ruins the ramps.
Hi, I live in Michigan. There's no Place that "Doesn't" allow you to power up onto your trailer up here. I have seen the fake azz signs that people try and put up on their "Private" lmao Open to the public lakes. even state parks don't care but they are also only like 4-9 feet deep. Powering your boat up only ruins dirt ramps. most up here is cement.
@@Z-e-r-0 former MI parks&rec worker, it does dig out under or behind the slab and cause issues overtime. When working the ramps they'd have us ask folks not to power load
I would have bet a C3 beer that the bumper of the Tesla was coming off. That would have been priceless. Hey, how about a C3 beer in your honor...now we're talkin' some merch!
That! Can't believe cops don't just sit at the these ramps and fill out there yearly quotas. And insurance companies, all these over sized loads get screwed when something goes wrong
I don't understand why people doubt electric cars ability to pull. Depending on the kind of electric motor you have, they have 302 LBS of *instant* foot torque with upwards of 275 HP to 1020 HP which equals some serious pulling power.
you do realize when powering something up like a boat off a Launch Ramp all you need is 4 wheels on a flat surface to pull it right? As long as the main tow vehicle isn't dead and can still pull (or spin its tires in this case) all it needs is a tiny boost. a 5hp Golf Cart can help pull them out. lmao hell theres Ramps that have a Golf Cart just for helping people get out.
@Shawn I don't have any beef with Toyota... I dont think any half ton should be trying to tow that boat. Certainly no SUV of any size. Maybe the boat comes in with a dry weight under the tow capacity, but I guarantee it isn't dry, and I guarantee with the trailer, it's over the capacity. Now if they get in an accident, insurance may not cover it if they're overweight. If someone gets killed in that accident, they could be facing some charges. It's just not worth it. I think the tow vehicle issue is a little worse in the RV world. I've seen a Honda Pilot towing a 9000lb travel trailer. It's unsafe for everyone on the road. The right tow vehicle should be considered as a part of the cost of boat or camper ownership.
@Dr. Shawn Berry Type in "Tesla Drag racing". Tons of vids of stock Tesla's smokin the good Ole boys. And the Tesla suv flat out smokes most pick ups in towing.
Why I'd it people in Florida pay soo much money for a boat but can't spend a few thousand more for a tow vehicle. Especially when it's a 2wd truck. It's 5k more for a 4x4
That's the least of his problems. Knucklehead is WAY over his payload and tow limits with that boat and trailer. To all those who say It'll tow it, yeah it will until something goes screwy. Then the boats gonna go where the boat wants go
why? so we can laugh as it did the same thing a Golf cart can do? as long as the main tow isn't disabled and spinning its tires like how the yota is, anything that can plant all 4 wheels on the flat surface can pull it out. its why most boat ramps have a single golf cart they cruise around in. to pull people up.
Not very impressive imo. I pull loaded semis the same way on the farm and it doesn't take much. I posted a video and people thought my truck was a beast or it was photo shopped. Reality is pretty much anything can do it.
I definitely enjoy hearing you're voice.

Electric motors are awesome at pulling loads. They have all their torque available instantly.
Yeah electric cars arent the lies sold to us in the past when the agenda wanted you buying gas and diesel.

Way to much boat for that Sequoyah.

This is why railroad locomotives use electric motors powered by diesel generators. Massive torque at 0 RPM
While also having the majority of the weight on the lower center of gravity vs trucks.
And a big heavy battery to put that torque to the ground.
And also instantaneous feedback to the traction control system that can minutely control the torque since there is no transmission.
So that's what that "Beast Mode" buttons for

Should NEVER have tried pulling that boat with that sequoia. It's designed for getting groceries...just like the Tundra
You might have a point. Toyota truck payload ratings are notorious for being among the lowest.
