When Kyuss opened for Metallica in Australia in 1993 they had a full PA the first show and Metallica’s soundman promised Kyuss they’d have full PA during their set, but quickly changed his mind after Kyuss plugged in and turned on. “We douched them,” Homme laughs. “On a frequency spectrum, we were like a brick wall until you hit the high end-and then there was no high end. I mean, high end is not fun for anybody; you don’t party with high end.”

@@hps69 that’s not what underrated means. perhaps most overlooked band every, they are very highly rated, i rarely heard a negative word about them except that their singer isn’t as good as the band.
@@hps69 Literally the most common comment I have read about Kyuss besides wow they’re amazing, is their singer is bad, I can’t stand the singer, I wish someone else sang, etc. even Josh Homme admitted one of the main reasons he left Kyuss is he didn’t like the vocal performance, hence getting Mark Lanegan to sing who was originally supposed to be the lead singer on the first Queens album.
