Champions of Midgard is such a great game. Not sure if it's still in my Top 10, but there was a time when it was. It's so good and is one of the OG's that got me hardcore into the hobby.
1775 is fantastic, haven't played 1812 either but from what I've read, it's excellent as stated in Board Game Bollocks top 100 and very similar ... 878 Vikings is another awesome game from the company that plays quite a bit different it's also excellent, they make very fun games
Midway watching your elegant soliloquy on games put in some order, I had to endure an advert for Monopoly! Needless to say that I suffered the torture of the obligatory over enthusiastic American family with only mild psychopathic compulsions, and continued to watch your excellent bollocks to the end. Yay for me!
Lords of Waterdeep is my favourite game! I own 2 deluxed copies, one with all expansion content integrated, the other with all attack cards removed and only the Undermountain content so that I can play it with wussies too. I own the Jarl edition of Champions of Midgard but haven't played it yet 😬
Truth be told, can't wait for a play through. I expect a good time having a laugh watching you struggle and fail ;) As for El Grande reprint, it is REALLY good, everything is way way clearer and does look modern. Occasional hippie will be happy about all-paper release (and added component boxes are absolutely fantastic) that also made it quite cheap. Cards are of very good quality, pieces as well. The only downside for me is that they overdone it on the candy-crush color palette, it's good that it is more popping, but that's a bit too much for me. At least there are no anthropomorphic animals, so there's that. Overall, a great reprint.
I was irritated when I first saw one of your reviews. It was to bolloks for my DT-brain. Now I instantly watch when your new vids pop up. Games like Carcassonne don't really age when they mastered their mechanics in such a simple and elegant way.
Can't speak much for the differences, but I got a hold of that el grande reprint recently to play it for the 1st time. It's hard to know what you don't know, but the other players I've played with didn't comment on anything that stuck out to them between both versions. The most I got is that the new board now doesn't look like a map, but like a modernly designed version of a map meant to be more functional than immersive. Safe to say for me that's a small concern
I love Spartacus. Have you ever tried the Men of Mayhem sons on anarchy one? Same deal where you think the TV tie-in is probably a bad sign, but it's excellent.
If I had to keep one game on that part of your list, that would be freaking El Grande. What a masterpiece. It never left my top list and played it even when I crapped on boardgames to play that shitty magic the gathering game making a fortune out of those old crappy cards. LoW follows closely, such a great game too but El Grande is simply too much. Du criss de bonbon. Can’t wait for the 3 slices of cake ! 👍🏻
Love the countdown so far mate!
Man, those video thumbnails are funny. I appreciate the extra work. Not sure I wanna know how you're fastened to the tree in this one though.

Nice list. Looking forward to the cake..
Playthroughs, playthroughs! 🎉 🏆
Love Carcassonne! One of the best!
I still haven't played 1812. 😢 I do, however, absolutely love 1775 by the same company. Such an awesome game!
Ask the Yanks…

Talisman must of climbed since last years countdown. What’s your favourite expansion? I really enjoy playing the city addon.

Why in the hell would anyone invade Canada? For the snow and maple syrup?
