  • After watching @Bay City Restorations BMW R80 build, I had to have one for myself :). I found a donor bike in September 2020 and did this build over the winter. The donor bike was in an amazing condition and the motor was immaculate.
No expense has been spared on this build, including a full electronics replacement with MotoGadget systems, VAPE CDI ignition, super light lithium battery... and a very long list of upgrades.
What's not obvious from the video, is that I also did a full maintenance job i.e. all bearings replaced, carb's rebuilt, all fluids, fork seals, etc. etc.
I also did quite a bit of custom fabrication, mostly consisting of 3D printing parts, and then "skinning" them in carbon fiber. The battery box is the best example of this.
Carb vapor Blasting was done by Rick Carr at www.vintagebike...
I've attached what is close to a FULL parts list, with affiliate links, in some cases:

The battery box and air filter box taking up all the 'space' usually visible makes this look so much better than others. Those pipes look great too!

I agree on doing this to motorcycle in bad condition but it was in meant condition. RIP beautiful red one.

VERY NICE! The attention to detail is obvious and realized in the final product. It's one of the nicest scrambler builds I've seen. We're so glad you picked Vintage Bike Builder for your carb wet blasting.

Scrambler build with no rear guard , wouldn’t be very stylish with all the mud & crap over your back from dirt roads ..
unless of course it’s never actually used as a scrambler.
    Possibly a baked-bean bikie.
