Our mother passed in 09 Dec n I got clean July 12th of 2010 from opioid addiction from pain pills. Been in recovery living sober n clean ever since. Alcohol withdrawal u can die from cus of seizures n physical withdrawal is the worst if u NVR been in it n felt it. Her saying mentally ur done n that is wat it is, most will relapse 5 times before getting sober. I've been in a relationship similar to hers not in the sense of the situations but the same kind of guy they are. I know for me I over looked I ignored I wanted to believe what he told me not what others told me...when I did notice flags I ignored them when I spoke of him to my family and friends I was too hurt and humiliated to ever speak of any of it so I spoke the world of this man while I was miserable and dying inside daily....it took me 3 of the 4 years we were together to get myself to the point to be done to leave. So three years I know something was not good but I shoved it 3 years I was no one in his world I felt like nothing.
