This is my man's favourite group. He sent me this link to listen to and I'm so glad he did.

The pedal steel gives their sound a lot more fullness. I like it👍

@LadyMissHuntie . Thanks for your insight. I'll be seeing them next week in Pittsburgh. And BTW, your ocean upload and song is great. The sky and waves remind me so much of back home in NJ

Nice, to essentially, upon request, to have the finest bands in the land perform on your show -- Letterman made good use of that power.

@kman0529 holy shit haha hes my music business teacher at uga, hes so modest i love how i just found out he played Letterman. haha he wrote a test question dealing with bands playing covers for live performances and this was his example, i jus didnt kno he was apart of the example. david rocks!

33Hossa18: Haha come on dude. Sheesh.
The rest of you DBT is from ATHENS GEORGIA. There is a reason the 40 Watt shows are called the Homecoming shows every year. The individual members are from Bama, the band: Athens. Recognize. Classic City for life

Cooley is to his right. I'm talking about the guy to his left and slightly behind him. Shonna, Brad, Jay, Neff, Cooley, PH and now I know the guy was Dave Barbe, their producer, wallowed the shit outta that groovy lil ditty.

Don't get me wrong, I love DBT, and this performance is great. However: That was one crappy guitarsolo from mr. Cooley! Probably just a one time thing though;)

They are good, but they aren't Lynnard Skynnard good - probably the best band to come out of Alabama.

jhmclellan First of all, it’s LYNYRD SKYNYRD and they are from Jacksonville, Florida. Second, the founding members of DBT, Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley, are from the Muscle Shoals, Alabama area in northwest Alabama. I was in the high school band, at Deshler High School, with Mike back in ‘80-‘82.

@@johncunningham8276 A lot of Gangstabilly seems to have been written by Adam H. and Patterson in Auburn in early '91 or so... I met them in Athens around '96. Interesting band w/ interesting history!
