Unfortunately, Elementor or Astra changed something. Most of the series is hard to follow because the CONTAINERS nor the items in the STRUCTURE are the same. For example, there is no TYPOGRAPHY SIZE that can be adjust for the HEADING as shown in the video below. The issue is that when ASTRA was installed, it doesnt install the ELEMENTOR along with it any longer.
Thank you for your comment. While user interfaces do change as new versions come out, what you are describing seems different. Did you try this on a fresh install?
@@BrainstormForce yes this was a fresh install. I am already a graphic and web designer and as usual I like to train and learn from others like yourself. I went ahead and created a brand new WP install in one of my domains. I was following the tutorial in the same order without skipping a step except buying a domain. if you follow this tutorial as is, what happens is that when you do the theme install the first difference is that ELEMENTOR does not install automatically. So I had to go ahead and installed it. However, even then when I switched to edit with ELEMENTOR and I went under the structure, the page is not divided into multiple containers like in your video. There is only one container and everything is under it. So I decided to reset the site and start new but this time I had elementor already installed so when I install Astra, and go to structure it would have the same containers... but still the same issue. Elementor's menus also change, for example SIZE and TYPOGRAPHY is not in the same locations and many of the options you decided on are not the same. I am not new to things moving around but in order to follow your tutorial my choices would be to somehow build the containers and try to match what you are doing or I just quit because what the tutorial is teaching is not something that we can follow. Believe, I want to follow the tutorial but as of 20 June 2024 it is very different from what the video is teaching. BTW, my hosting is with HOSTINGER so that should not have been a problem.
