The ME1 speaker stands, cabinets and crossovers are made in China. They are shipped over to Japan for assembly with TAD's made in Japan drivers. The speakers say made in Japan and the stands say made in China. Source, I own ME1s and TAD/Pioneer Japan confirmed this to me. They also wouldn't reveal where the rest of Evolution line of products are made when asked.
I heard in one of the interviews he said the cabinet/wood and the stand of CE1TX is sourced from China, the rest of the components are all from Japan and built/assembled in Japan, though who knows what these days, so confusing.....
@@jazzpill2523 Yep, the OCD Mikey interview with PAD HiFi. The drivers are definitely made in their Japan factory though. Machined parts and crossovers are probably made in their own factory in Japan, on the higher end CE1TX and GE1.
