As a pianist I so totally agree!! And I want to add one more thing: if the accompanist has more bars to play than you at the end of the song, stay still and look like your solo part still continues!!! It's soooo frustrating to try to play those last bars properly if the soloist is already bowing and marching out of the stage, totally ignoring that the music still continues!
