Definitely worth it, if you can hang in there. Lots of people who haven't read the manga and/or played (or watched someone else play) the game seem to be dropping this though. May be best to do one of the those before watching the anime.
Bro when tbe piano kicks in at the start its like you have been hit with 10 packs of premium edition nostalgia packs i only finished this anime today so i got hit by like half a pack of nostalgia due to hearing this ending one more time in the last episode but nothing compares to the nostalgia people who watched this 5 years ago are getting right now you have it rough huh.

This song randomly popped up in my head last night and... THE FEELS. I’ve seen angels of death two times & it was my first anime. You have no idea how much it broke me. No seriously, just thinking about this song makes me want to cry. This anime has only 16 episodes but it managed to damage my feelings way more than Tokyo Ghoul (4 seasons + ova) or Attack on Titan (also 4 seasons + ova). Yet im addicted to it. And i kind of wanna either read the manga or rewatch it for the third time😳

Nah at the end of the game they both survive and escape together and since the game is the cannon material I’m guessing it also happened at the end of the anime
