      What are you on about Haas being more keen on veterans...
      Have you heard of Mick Schumacher and that Russian guy Nikita Massivespin.
      Gutierrez had 2 seasons in Sauber before Haas in 2016, not really a veteran.
      So out of 6 drivers Haas has had in total.
      Half, were definitely not veterans...

    Ferrari should have kept Carlos for another year and monitored Bearmans performance in F2. Why have brilliant young talent coming through and then blocking them by spending a fortune on Hamilton? Think they have made a massive expensive mistake signing Hamilton.

    • @brainspin7518
      @brainspin7518 2 месяца назад +1

      🙄Nope put Hamilton in that same car he could have made the podium...at least . There is NO substitute for talent & experience. That's why Ferrari made the right choice for 25'. Young Oliver is talented & will get his shot sooner than later.. But the team & car have just as much to do with his fine showing last weekend too, can't dispute it.

    I’m not convinced a successful F2 career, translates to F1 that well. He can clearly handle a F1 car already, especially clear because of the track he was on and seems to know his trade on and off the track. I’d sign him up for 2025, regardless of his F2 performance.

      As James said, "You're right."
      Winning or doing well in F2 does not mean you'll be a quality F1 driver.
      Aside from Mick, there are plenty of other good F2 drivers who couldn't cut it in F1.

    We just don’t know how much high quality talent is out there. Olie was just in the right place at the right time and took advantage of the opportunity with aplomb. Throughout the year there will be other young drivers in FP1 with all the teams and we may see another unexpected seat vacancy for someone else to shine. But for sure it’s better to look at what is proven and make a decision rather than what is speculated. It’s all about risk. He has a future grid seat for sure.

He is one of MANY hungry young talented up & coming drivers who wanted to be him in that Ferrari this past weekend. & who knows maybe some of them could have shown even better as far as the end result if given the same opportunity...I personally just take it for what it is, a good story for f1 to temporary distract us from all the other BS drama going on (& from the same boring race results i.e, Max going on at the front of the grid).

    I would welcome each main driver having to sacrifice one race so that the reserve driver would effectively have two full race weekends per season.
    This could mean that the drivers are put under less physical stress during the now extended race season and it could also be used very strategically so erase that their car would maybe not be as competitive as others could be used for the reserve driver or if a track didn't suit that driver's style it could be used for the reserve driver and if all teams had to use the reserve driver to replace the main driver on at least one occasion, then the amount of races that would be covered by the main driver could also be the same. This could also lead to an exciting development where a driver is on equal points, but one driver has a racing hand as they had already allowed the reserve driver to take a race where the other driver hasn't leading to an exciting driver's table

    Sure, you can argue that the older drivers had their time, but i fancy drivers with experience, they often do the most important driving (that with it self are impressing and fun to watch), and the young do the most "impressive" and aggressive drama driving, the mix needs to be there. a mix on the grid.
