- LIVE: Johnny Depp's $100million defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard continues today in Fairfax, Virginia. So far, this week, Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez cross-examined Amber Heard, after which time, the Aquaman actress's time on the stand finished. Yesterday, Amber Heard's friend Rocky Pennington's deposition was shown, as was that of her ex-husband's, before Amber Heard's sister, Whitney Henriquez took to the stand.

This trial is about her claiming abuse.

@@b.bailey8244 The first one was between Depp and the Sun tabloid, Amber was just a witness, she didn't have to be there, she wasn't compelled to testify. Amber Heard saw a way to get more out of JD and it needed to be nipped in the bud before she was allowed to make up the lies that plagued him for over 6 years!! Shame on the Heard team... shame.
Its a defamation trial he's already proven his case. Being addicted to drugs and alcohol is not in question here. The majority of her friends testimonies and her own are dwelling on this. She's the aggressor, She drinks and uses drugs too. She admitted to hitting him, she wont stand down and give him space when he wants to. The jury needs to stay focused on the intent of defamation and the effect its had on his career.
So this financial guy said everything started to go wrong with Johnny after the film Run Diaries.. Isn't that when AH came into his life?!! That tells you everything you need to know.
This says it all! A love match made in hell... who on earth could live with such an overly possessive and nagging woman. Hell on earth promised and nowhere to hide as she would constantly follow him behind any and every salvation doors! And that voice, that insistent voice... oh my nerves! "Killing me with... your voice" like the song says.

AH's legal team seem to waste some great time on nothing . This last gentleman told me nothing and the objections ruled that entire testimony/deposition

Have I missed something? The friend Josh says he pointed out all this damage to the cops, if he actually showed him damage why is there no footage of that? Didn’t all officers have body cams?
the police with body cam already testified and display the cam, but nothing there. So that means the friend is lying
He gave his statement before the body cam footage was received from the police. It looks like he perjured himself when you compare his comments to the images.
The first 2 witnesses talked about lateness to work,money drug, alcohol abuse. Nothing about physical abuse. Did I missed anything?
Yet Amber did drugs too. Cocaine, Ecstacy and so on. But they just to single him out. Crazy

What happens if a lawyer finds out their client is in the wrong and the lawyer intentionally performs badly? How would you be able to tell afterwards if they still went through the trial but just didn't perform as well as they would have?
I would think that all lawyers are financially motivated to help their client win as that means they would get a higher commission.

It is difficult to perform well when your client is as guilty as AMber. It is easy to perform well when your client is as right as Johnny. That is why Johnny is as cool as cucumber. All he needs is for the truth to come out, and the liars on the other side are so used to getting away with being slime-feeding off him that they aren't even credible or consistent. They are transparent to everyone.

I saw it, yes it was brilliant and very telling, its also funny that just 3/4 months before the trial, AH contacted all her 'friends' to tell them she loved them but MAINLY to make sure their testimonies matched

You can't talk ,solve or argue with a person who is on drugs and alcohol. She knows that. I bet she instigated a lot of their arguments. If both of them abused one another then send them on there way with nothing.

Its hard to listen to this as I see all those terrible things happening to my sister now. She is getting drunk everyday and her behavior is totally opposite of her natural. She is suddenly an angry violent person to the point where I printed an eviction notice to her yesterday. ITS AWFUL HORRIBLE TERRIBLE CRYING. Please to all who drink like this, STOP please. The damage to family and friends can be unforgivable and cannot be repaired. Like mine with my sister today :-( The broken things , the yelling, stomping, falling, passing out with stove on, smoking weed on wooden deck and dropping lit ones! She is a danger to me and anyone she is around. I even called her doctor, who started prescribing anti anxiety drugs AND sleeping pills to her to tell her of her alcohol problem and a therpist would be in order NOT drugs..but she blew me off and now I see she has prescribed more! I am at a loss of thoughts AND now my sister :-(( I want to believe Johnny , but this experience with my sister makes me believe Amber somewhat. so so sad. Love and blessings to all.
Best wishes and sympathy. My dad couldn't put the bottle down either and all of the drinking throughout his life, along with all the stress and lack of sleep that it brought him eventually ended up killing him. Alcohol is garbage and even though I have my own problems with it I refuse to be brought into the hellish life of an addict.
I am sorry about your sister but let's not let our vision be blurred. She knows how to say all the right things... she also drank heavily and did drugs and physical assaulted Johnny.
You are actually going through the issues, and you are seeking help for your sister, correct? Why did her friends see this behavior and not encourage Amber to seek help? Why is there no evidence of what happened? Why did the police not help her when they were called- they didn't know who they were responding to. Yet, we see Johnny with evidence of assault- medical records, audio records of her verbally abusing him. Her own witness accounts lining up with what HIS testimony has said. Her best friend, who lived next door, NEVER saw him lay a hand on her. But did see him act like a man who was under the influence with problems. Being an addict or a drink doesn't mean you are abusive- as she claims. Everything I've heard says he is troubled, but he didn't beat her, like she has claimed. By all accounts and evidence she abused him and took advantage of him, and pushed him to a very low point in his life.
Alcoholism and drug abuse is a disease. The treatment for it is to find out the cause of it. I worked the field for many years. I am sorry for your sister, intervention helps with a qualified Physician and/LCSW. It’s up to your sister to want to get to the root of the problem. Sounds like Intensive inpatient treatment is a start. JD has lived in an abusive atmosphere most of his life and drinking and drugging helped to numb the pain. He got rid of the problem , (AH), look where he is now. You and your family have to make a decision to either remain enablers and complain or disables and distance yourselves from your sister. She may or may not seek the help she needs but that’s not your problem. I don’t care who it is, my child, friend, whomever, I am not going to enable anyone. JD did the right thing, he distanced himself rather than harming himself by becoming numb.

Maybe so.. but it doesn't necessarily make you someone that is physically abusive. This is not about his drug and alcohol use it's about whether or not he put his hands on his ex-wife

Clearly you haven’t been following the trial. Of course drugs and alcohol ruin lives, she was using drugs and alcohol on a regular basis as well.
JD has been clean and sober for a while now.
