- I show you how to pair (connect or sync) an Amazon Fire TV remote controller. If only your power button is working and no other buttons then chances are it is not paired/synced. Hope this helps.

I unplugged and replugged the power cord. Wait 30 seconds!
Let the cube /firestick start.
NOW press the HOME 🏡 button for 20 seconds and it paired and WORKED!
Previous attempts of trying the home button failed above!
I have a Firecube but the remote went missing.
So I actually used an old fire stick remote which I kept as the stick died on me and it worked.
Make sure you have good batteries!
Hint : always keep spare old firestick remotes for the rainy day in case you loose the original!

I found a solution for me. I downloaded the firestick app and used it as a remote and I added “new controller” in the setting on the screen.

Just as additional info
- pressing the three buttons simultaneously for 15 seconds will do a "remote control reset" (yes, 15 seconds will do)
- pressing the home button will switch the remote control into pairing mode (fire TV stick is automatically in pairing mode if no remote cotrol is connected)

Step 1 failed. Step 2 failed. Step three made the remote unresponsive to the TV. My remote won't use power and volume but I had control originally. Brand new replacement remote.

Before trying your steps, the remote only let me use the power button, the volume, and the mute button. After following your steps, it’s worse as it doesn’t do anything at all anymore. 😢 This is a brand new firestick too as I only got it a few days ago. So frustrating.

@@gussebastian Yeah. Something is wrong with that model (I think there’s a bad batch). I ended up contacting Amazon through their App. Their IT support made me go through all these steps for like an hour and clearly didn’t know what to do so they gave me a customer phone service number to call. I eventually got ahold of someone who had pity on me and they ended up giving me a 15% Off discount for my new Firestick and didn’t make me return the broken one due to all the trouble I went through with their other customer service reps. I took a chance and bought that same model as Amazon put it on sale and with my credit they issued, it was cheap. New one works fine so far for the last 2 months.
Same me problem start like the , sound going up 100 no chance turn down the sound 😢 , I’m buy the controls Amazon new , only HDMI 1 give signal , but so short ant tv shuts down again , I’m think tv Brocken the HDMI
I’ve noticed most of the ones with a volume and power button stop working after a few days to a week same thing happened we bought 3 of them and they all stopped working then we got ones without volume and power buttons and there hasn’t been a problem since it’s been 6 months

This step right here worked. I got close to the tv, pointed it at the tv, held the home button for 10 seconds, maybe 11 till it blinks, wait until it stops blinking, then try.
