The Krieg looks great. I heartily agree that slow, patient building is the way to go. Not only do you get a better model, but you have time to think things out and often improve the kits in ways you would not have thought of if you rush through it. But more importantly you get to enjoy the hobby and not risk it becoming 'work'. This is why I only seem to be able to make one a month, but I don't care about that. As for bases, I've built a few and they really make the models stand out as well as being as fun as making the kits. I've learned as much from building bases (and still learning) as I have from building the models.
