Stock can drop from top to bottom and still be a 60 bagger. All this in 10y. investing is a very long journey where our temperament gets tested. have to have the capacity to suffer for long periods. I have lived through the examples above, naming the stock today is pointless.

Transfer of INR to drive wealth via INDmoney is approx 1200.
Further withdrawing back to INR denomination is charged at approx 2500. Not so attractive now, is it!?
Instead Motilal Oswal's S&P500 and Nasdaq100 passively managed MFs seems better, also becuase their expanse ratio is less than 0.6% each.
It isn't bad if u transfer lump sum like >1 lakh, but not everyone can transfer lump sum. And don't withdraw small amounts or until absolutely necessary. Let the money stay in stocks/drivewealth

You return will be good that'll compensate the taxes and still be more profitable if you invest wisely.
The tax is on profits. If you make INR 100, they'll charge you INR 25-30, but you still make 70. Offset the overall profit percentages by 2-3% to account for taxes and conversion charges.

IndMoney is not even a trusted platform. Vested is better that too very slightly. For a normal investor, mutual funds and ETF is the best option.

I personally am going in a loss with Motilal Oswal. Though it's just 2months.
Even PPFAS has investments in Alphabet, Facebook and Micsrosoft.

The best way to find growth stocks, key features to keep in mind is as follows:
1. Ensure gross margins are greater than 50%
2. Ensure P/E ratio is less than 100
3. Buy companies that are PROFITABLE, very important irrespective of sector.
4. Debt to equity ratio is less than 30%
5. Current ratio is above 1 6. and a Float under 100 million One stock that fits the bill is FLGT (Fulgent)

FYI there's additional charges when you convert the currency. Check into the details before investing.
The US inflation rate revolves between 1 to 2%, whereas the Indian inflation rate revolves between 4 to 8%. Even after currency conversion charges, you'll be better off in those stocks.

@@Kshitijj I have not used ET Money for buying US stocks / MF. INDMoney is good. I have my reservations about Groww. But you can now by Mutual Funds investing in US Index Funds from any Indian broker.

From 2010 till date, I’ve bought Apple devices in almost every product category. iPhones every 2 years, couple of MacBook Pro, iPads, Apple Watch and an Apple TV too. Just like he gave the example of Japan, the same can happen to the us as well or india....so portfolio diversification is important so as to ensure that you aren't dependant on any particular country's market

When you deposit money in the foreign bank account through an indian bank account there are FEMA compliances involved and bank will charge a certain amount of money for transferring the fund that makes it more expensive for people who are planning to invest less amount.
P.s writing this after practically going through the process of buying US Stocks through IND Money app.

@@Kshitijj IND Money app is good but not for US Market. For small investors it is advisable to invest in mutual funds which further invest in US Index for ex- Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 fund of funds. It has provided me around 8% return in past two months.
I have couple of questions @Tanmay :
1. What if the app INDMoney, runs away?
2. Where would are US stocks go???
3. How secure is it for US stocks???
Because in case of Indian stocks, I know even if the company runs away, my shares are safe in CDSL.

To offset the banking charges, you'll need to go with a lumpsum of at least $500. Anything lower than that is a loss in the short run.
However, the US inflation rate being much lower than India's, coupled with the US to Rupee depreciation, you will get around 3-4% annually on that alone. This will balance out all the conversion charges. Also, the taxes are on profits, which are similar to what they tax regular stocks.
P.S. If you cannot file anything other than ITR - Form 1, you'd better get a CA though, even for regular investments.

@@jinfin221 One can get regular stocks or futures if they have the funds in their US account. But the fund transfers lead to charges which is why you'd have to put in a bulk account. That being said, you trade in futures. The idea was to invest, and not trade.
Fractional investing is not an app specific feature just in IND money. It’s available in every app with access to US equity market
