Excellent tutorial. I love the way you two connect with each other. Your banter gives me time to try these things in Logos. I subscribed and can’t wait to look at your next video. I have learned soooo much. Thanks!

This was very enlightening. I have had Logos for years and never knew about prioritizing my library. I have 730 books in my Logos library; when I need a resource, I forget what I have. But then I never really took the time to delve into all of the functions of Logos. Mainly because there is so much available that it is daunting.

My goal in watching this was to get a sense for whether I should purchase the Logos package I'm considering, and this video just AMAZED me! You guys speak to my inner geek powerfully. This video was so much fun to watch! Thank you!

Solid breakdown of Logos, I gleaned a lot. I’m currently developing a Bible app that is inspired by Logos but “simpler”.
Similarly to you, the ESV is my favorite! However, I offer one correction. The ESV is “essentially literal”, meaning it leans closer to a word for word translation, whereas the CSB is more of a “dynamic equivalent” or thought for thought (I recommend CSB over the NIV). And to your point, the 1995 NASB is better for in-depth study.

I will be 70 years old in a couple of weeks. I purchased Logos last summer and have had a hard time keeping up with the tutorials and I had basically given up for the time being. I had been looking for something like this so I was excited to try it again. However, I am barely 35 minutes into the video and I am frustrated beyond measure that Andrew is continually being interrupted and not allowed to establish a flow of learning. The continual interruptions and attempts to be funny and/or making comments on every point by Jeremy, makes it hard for a smooth explanation that allows the learners to stay focused on what is being said. I appreciate the idea of producing this video but I'm certainly not learning from it. I will however, go back an look at the chapter breaks and hopefully I can pick up some things there. I do not intend to be critical but I do hope this would be considered with any future instructional videos...

Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely take that into consideration when making future videos. Andrew is working on a Logos Helps RUclips channel that focuses on exactly what you're looking for. Here's a link to his channel: www.youtube.com/@LogosHelpwithAndrew
Morris Proctor Seminars is another great resource for learning Logos with developmental blocks that will take you from novice to expert. Check out mpseminars.com/
It's been a huge help to me. Well worth the investment!
      Cheers,
      Jeremy

Newbie here with the fundamentals package...I noticed Logos has revolving sales from month to month. When should I pull the trigger and back the truck up for commentaries...40-50% discount? I'm not really in a hurry...so if there is seasonal sale around Thanksgiving or Christmas that I should know about that would helpful. Thanks!

Please take it slow, bible study has to work in you before you will ever do deep study. Not very many teach bible study like you like it, and hard to find good information on study.

Great question! Logos offers quite a few seasonal discounts.
It would be best to contact one of their reps and ask them when the best time would be and how to consolidate packages/libraries to get the best deals. That's what I do!
      Cheers,

Not sure why you both felt the need to make a point about the pronunciation of the Hebrew word rendered "vanity" kjv, or "meaningless" NIV [or is it something like "insubstantial" or "impermanent"?] in Eccl for viewers at 100 minutes. But since you did make a big point, did you get it right?? he'bel [he'vel] starts with a heh which is generally pronounced like a simple "h" sound. You seem to be confusing it as a cheth (they are quite similar visually) -often pronounced, as you said "throaty," like a "ch-sound" as perhaps in the German "aCHtung." But even when you clicked to use logos pronunciation in the context menu, you commented "breathy"- right! like an "h," but you did not self-correct your assertions. It is not an unpardonable sin to not know Hebrew or to be rusty in it; but when you make firm assertions about the language which are incorrect, you harm your credibility for any other assertions you might make. I don't think that is something for which you are striving .

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to share some feedback, we appreciate it!
You're right, we could have done a better job pronouncing the words we shared. Of course, neither of us would even suggest that we are experts in Hebrew. All the more reason to make more use of Logos software to help us out. Right?!
Hopefully, our linguistic mishap didn't distract too much away from the content intended to help to encourage folks to dive in and use Logos software to enrich their biblical studies.
      Cheers,
      Jeremy
