Aw thanks Preethi :) I was actually going to make a video about deciding between grad school and industry soon 😂 but I wanted to learn more about data science in depth before transitioning to industry! The 5th year program appealed to me because I could learn more while I was still in the "school" mode versus coming back to school after being in industry
the classes are all online regardless, there are some in person aspects to the program usually (which have also been switched over to online this year)
So the program I'm in is the 5th Year MIDS Program, the other option is the regular/traditional MIDS program. This version of the program takes around 2 years to complete since it's more of a part-time program. It is more tailored for people who have been working in industry and want to come back to school to pursue a master's degree.
