Peg: "Did you miss me Al?"
Al: "With every bullet so far."
Optimus Prime 😂😂😂
Maybe you need a bigger gun.
Peg: "Al, take this sex quiz with me. Question 1: who would you rather have sex with? A. your wife or B......."
Al (interrupting Peggy): "B!"

Man I was in elementary school when this show would always come on TV! Definitely a golden era ❤
Same
We took this show for granted back in the day. What a gem.
Knowing now that Amanda Bearse HATED Ed in real life makes all his chicken insults 10X more hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Facts😂😂👌
JUST STARTED WATCHING THIS SHOW
IT'S HILARIOUS AF
Way ahead of its time......it's probably the first American comedy that was more like a British comedy. For example, the show usually ended with some misfortune for one of the characters whereas typical American comedies always had a "happy ending"
@@MrRibby88 All In the Family
@@MrRibby88 - they actually even made a Russian version with a Russian cast, and have the same episodes done by them.
GOOD DECISION
@@MrRibby88and there's also a british version.
My mom would throw a fit when I watched this. Some lady at work told her I shouldn't be watching it. Snitch.
That lady at work must've been Marcy D'arcy?
+Steve Eidem It had to have been.
My grandma didn't care what my watched my mom told me she watched this as a family.
My parents ADORED this show. Your mom was (or still is, maybe?) a G Rated Prude!

Wow!!...............

There were some shows I'd never understand as a kid but I'd enjoy watching them. This was one of them. Watching it as an adult this show is gold. The jokes still hold up, the family depiction is on point and there's never been a more relatable character like Al.
It's funny listening this now years later and being able to actually understand what the lyrics are saying. I heard the opening a million times as a kid but I only remembered the "love and marriage" part.
Lol same
"ghosts together with a horse and cabbage!"
Haha I only stayed on for the opening scene then changed the channel… tales from the crypt too when the crypt keeper pops out and laughs

A man provides for his family. And he does it, even when he's not appreciated... or respected .... or even loved. He simply bears up and does it.
This is not Breaking Bad :v

The house still looks about the same.
ARCSTREAMS Yes, that is the house they used. It's just a house for establishing shots. They can give it whatever fictional address they want on the show. Imagine all the mail it would receive if they posted the real address, especially from people who can't separate fiction from reality.
TapesnCartridges wonder if it looks like that inside?
Legend. Thanks
Indeed a pretty neighbourhood. The kind of idealized American suburban street I would watch in movies when I grew up, and wish that I lived in. I especially love the open lawns in front of every home. Here in Europe, everyone has hedges and fences in front of their houses.
But the bikes are not there
Throwback 90's sitcom, when TV was actually hilarious. People used to get Al Bundy mixed up with the serial killer Ted Bundy all the time lmfao!!!!!
it started in the 80's though
Damn straight! Married with Children was so unique in its time and still hella unique now because there's still nothing like it and certainly nothing as bold, edgy and hilariously politically incorrect as this joint right here. In other words it would NEVER have been allowed on the air if it had been made for 2019 lol.
kendall rivers yes it would! If Iasip and South Park can air in 2019 married with children can. MWC is tame compared to those.
@Josh Peterson LOL keep telling yourself that bro. South Park is a cartoon so it's not seen as much of a threat but even the cast admits that Married wouldn't get on today.
@@SmashLiXs It sure did 👍😷😎
I only ever remember one great line from Al when he's got to get out of bed to fix the leaking roof.
Peg: "Now why would you wanna go fix the roof when you can be here fixing me?"
Al: "Cos when I'm done, the roof won't ask me to fix it again!"
Loves it!!
My dad always let me stay up late to watch it when my mum was out working in the pub! Good old dad. He was a regular Al Bundy looking back!
2024 had to come here to relive my nostalgic days when I woke up for school to this every morning 😂❤
You'd never get away with this type of humour nowadays. Some of it is best consigned to history (I can't recall any specific moments but every 90s programme had them) however a lot of it was harmless.
Hearing this brings a smile to my face, I really loved that show when I was a kid.
Everyone's happy but Al Bundy...I don't I want to get married any more.
Well, he was born made of insults and used that power to other. His marriage is the only that made him even more empowered with insults. Someday he'll pour a sugar to the fat librarian's gas-tank.
@@FizzyArtCola What?.
This is a tv show it's not true to real life
@@renroxhrd It's a Documentary...
🤣🤣🤣
I don't care what anyone says, this was Always Sunny before it was a thing.
Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
This I tell you, brother
You can't have one without the other
Love and marriage, love and marriage
It's an institute you can't disparage
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary
Try, try, try to separate them
It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
To this conclusion
Love and marriage
My brother and his wife used this song when they got married this weekend.... got a great big laugh from the crowd.
Best sitcom ever.
No, I didn't forget "Seinfeld", but that would be the 2nd place.
Honestly, both can share the first place, both make me laugh a lot
@@scardilat so?
Best by 3rd or by 1st?
The show that saved a struggling network in FOX back in the 80s
and of course the simpsons
This show was awesome. In an era where sitcoms were all brady bunch and happy lovey dovey stories like growing pains, full house, and the cosby show this show comes along and shows that we all don't live in wonderful houses have flashy jobs and there is some drearyness in life. This show was awesome all of the other sitcoms fell by the wayside but this still has a place in my heart.
Just watched an episode of this show 1 hour ago, some networks here in Germany still air it. Brings back memories ;)
i still watch this show!!! it doesn't come out on air during the day time that i know of but i always see it at night starting at 3:30am till 5am on TBS :)
25 years ago this changed the typical depiction of the family sitcom forever. Al Bundy really defined the typical big-city working class man. This show was quite ahead of its time for its content that made it stand out.
They used to give this on my local FOX channel at 10pm when I was younger (before they incorporated the nightly news) and I loved it
I didn't grow up with this show, but I loved watching Modern Family so that's when I realized that this show featured Ed O'Neil, I knew I had to watch it.
I started watching Modern Family ONLY because Al Bundy was in it and while I grew to like that show it can't touch Married with Children. I'm still hoping they'll pull the Newhart finale thing and have Jay wake up as Al next to Peg and realize he was just having a dream LOL.
@@kendallrivers1119 Similar to what they did for the "Top of the heap" pilot pisode
.🤔😑.
Watching this as a ten year old in the late 90s was awesome😂
"Love and Marriage" was originally written for a 1955 TV production of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" (on "PRODUCERS' SHOWCASE"), featuring Frank Sinatra as the "Stage Manager". Frank's rendition became a hit because of the telecast, and the song became familiar to a new generation because Levitt & Moye decided to use it for this series...today, this title sequence would not be possible because network TV doesn't allow a full minute title in situation comedies anymore [five seconds, tops!].
If this song was a part of your childhood, just know you are appreciated, you surviver .
The opening used to scare me when I was a child.
I'm 16 now and I started watching this show.
It is fucking brilliant. It's hilarious, entertaining and surprisingly educational. For example, I know never to get married to a footballer because he'll end up selling women shoes.
5/5.
That jail sound effect at the end. Don't know why it cracks me up😂
Al and his many bills not paid....🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember this show when i was a kid. XD Loved it, even though i didin't understand anything. lol.
This show was so hilarious!
It's funny how many people watched it as a kid and never understood it. I was one of those people and as an adult I definitely understand is now.😂🎉 Indeed, only an Adult can appreciate al bundy the legend.❤😊
lmao! my dad loved this show and he hasn't seen it in years so I recorded one as a surprise for him. I watched it myself, just to see what it was like, and it was hilarious! One of the funniest TV shows ever. Thanks for uploading the opening!
The animated version better be good!
I loved this show back then. . Love watching it in syndication now. . Great show honestly. Al provided for family. Was always roof over head. Somehow food there, though Peg cook, . Ha. Love how he always went back to the one glorious play in High School..He never hit wife or kids. They stayed married.. I love that Ed & Katey went on to successful careers in T.V
Yet Al & Peg will always be dear to me
I also just saw the fountain from begining when in Chicago. It is beautiful..
Can't believe this show is 35 yrs old 😮
I loved watching this show in the 90s.. every Sunday at 9pm they use to give it... watching this intro brings back those memories
30 somethin and I remember this show as if it were airing yesterday.
It is an awesome show. I am so glad some stations still show it on tv. Why can't today's new shows be this good.
Awww this show! This was on our daily schedule back in the 90's....using the good ol cable box with the cord that was a million feet long LOL 😂
❤❤❤❤❤Married With Children tv series----like i gotta have an Al in my house!🎃
LEGENDARY show.lol still love this so much
0:01 As a little kid I thought that water fountain was spraying out slime. Now that I am a more informed adult, I know that I was right all along.
you were probably thinking of nickelodeon studios, whose shows were popularly watched by kids at the time
"Ya know, youre not very smart. I have a 'Fire Amanda Bearse' button I can push anytime I want. You don't have a 'Fire Ed O'Neill' button. Your button doesn't work!!!"
- Ed to Amanda when he got sick of her rotten attitude 😂😂😂
Al Bundy and Archie Bunker definitely on the Mount Rushmore of TV dads.
For those curious, the theme song to this & many other shows are changed because of music copyright laws. LOL. In all seriousness, you need permission from the artist or their estate if they're deceased to use their material & it's CRAZY expensive. It's cheaper to audioswap.
This is why many shows from the 80s & 90s arent released on DVD yet, like the Wonder Years (which used time specific music being set in the 1960s-70s). Or if they are, the music is switched or taken out completely.
OH EMMM GEEE the water fountain at the begginin was the reason i watched this show lmfao nd the theme song, man i miss the 90's "fresh prince, married with children, family matters, the wayne bros, and the good shows like pokemon the 1st season b4 they added 2 many pokemons nd strayed away 4rm the good 150 pokemons: memories!

Married with Children... beautiful memories
I'm watching this because regular tv removed this awesome theme song ☹️

Married with Children walked so F is for Family could fly.
And then Netflix shot it down
@Made_In_Heaven88 no, it concluded. Not every show the end got canceled.
Married With Children, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince, are the best sit-coms of all time!!!
yay!!! I'm from Estonia, and this show goes again in TV! And it is starting in several minutes! Love it.
0:12 always made me laugh as a kid watching this show on FOX. It was like he was a king. 🤣🤣
Wandavision made a huge mistake skipping this sitcom.
I just can imagine Vision as Al Bundi and Wanda as Peg.
LMAO
I LMAO'd when Al fed money to the dog. Anyone else noticed that?
Zoe Zerelda. No
I don't see what's so funny about that - that's a huge waste/loss of money for Al.
Since the pilot episode.
@@elliottlastnameblank7916 it's the 1980s and 1990s. The economy was flexible then.

It's so cool how both Ed O'Neil and Katey Sagal are now on two great shows!
WHOA! Loved this show when I was in elementary school. Time sure flies!
I can sing this song cant get enough of it
The tile scares me with the married turned green when I was 3 years old
if you play this on new year’s eve at 11:58:52 then the door slam will play at exactly midnight
R.I.P FRANK SINATRA !!!!!
I used to watch this show with my parents when I was like 3 or 4. And I, apparently, used to walk around with my hands in the front of my pants lol
It's a pretty catchy tune I love it😁😁
LMFAO THE DOG
Does anyone else remember the first few episode introductions dripping red instead of green?
When they announced an "A-Team" movie a few years ago, I thought that Ted McGinley would be perfect to play Templeton "Faceman" Peck.
No other show now days is good as this
one. Brings up so many good memories.
This brings back so many good memories. 😂
I watch it every day when I come home while drinking a cold beer and eating lunch.
It's the greatest Sitcom ever.
I saw the show when I was a kid and I never imagined that I will feel so identified with Al
At the fountain right now. It’s empty. Makes me really sad. Love ya Al.
this one and Friends are my favorite shows !!!
Who wants this song as a ringtone?
Happy 37th anniversary to one of the best sitcoms of the 80s
When I watch this show, the intro makes my dogs howl every time
I LOVED this show when I was a kid.
We ain’t gonna talk about that theme song? It’s so creepy
It brings me back to the 90s to a simpler time 😊
As we were younger, we laughed when Al came home from work, sat down on the couch and put his hand down his pants like that.
As adults, we get it now.
I havent seen Married with Children repeats in the U.K or Ireland for years which sucks.
I loved it when lol Al buys a toilet and evereone leaves the scene and Al sits down on the couch and wants to give his son-the father's spiel about the toilet he bought-lol and as Al is giving the spiel, the son nods for the first few seconds of the spiel and then looks away like he's saying HEEEEELP lol Stereotypes though??? lol
i remember i used to watch this when i was younger!
@slolegacyuser
i think that married with children was one of the best shows ever period. it was one of the few shows that every one could sit down and watch. classic and timeless and never dull
My favorite show ever......it's so funny.... :P
So glad I can hear and see the real opening to Married with Children, not that crap they've replaced it with on Netflix.
Al was wild for hating his wife, she was so fine 💀
It pains Al to have to give away so much of how little of what he actually makes.
