  • 🐾 Heartbreaking News from Haverfordwest: Justice for Neglected Poodles 🐾
In a heartbreaking revelation at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court, Alison Denise Silk of #Camrose faced the consequences of her neglectful actions towards 30 poodle dogs.
Pleading guilty to multiple offences under the Animal Welfare Act on 25 January, Silk admitted to causing unnecessary suffering by failing to provide these innocent animals with the care they desperately needed - from adequate nutrition and veterinary treatment for severe dental disease to essential grooming.
The court's decision on 20 February was clear: a 10-year ban on keeping animals and a 12-month suspended custodial sentence for Silk. Additionally, she must undertake 10 rehabilitation days, pay a victim surcharge of £154, and the remaining seven poodles under her care have now been placed with the RSPCA.
RSPCA Inspector Keith Hogben's testimony shed light on the dire conditions faced by the poodles: "The door to the kitchen was closed and as the door was opened a large number of dogs greeted us, the dogs were all barking and each of the dogs were heavily matted."
The animals lived in environments contaminated with faeces and urine, suffering from severe matting and numerous health issues.
