  • Climb and ski descent of the Y-Couloir on Mount Conness and the Conness Glacier, in the Tioga Pass/Yosemite region of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. The "Y" proved to be a fairly steep line that would have been very scary with harder snow. Luckily we hit it just right. April 29, 2012.

I love dogs too. I hate that their owners took them into a closed area - the Harvey Monroe Hall Research Natural Area. This is a known bighorn sheep area as well. Just plain selfish. Not respectful of nature.

I'm very disappointed you chose to take a dog into a closed area - the Harvey Monroe Hall Research Natural Area. This is a known bighorn sheep area as well. Just plain selfish. Not respectful of nature. Oh, and I do love dogs. And Bighorn. And coyotes. And ground squirrels and marmots and plenty of other creatures.
Be prepared. Stay informed. Do the right thing.
