Here i sit, 49 years old.
Going to be 50 this year (2021). Survived 2 heart attacks. Survived the loss of my father to suicide at the age of 7.
Surviving depression.
Struggling yet surviving.
LP's music helped get me through a lot of depression issues in the early 2000's.
And this song holds such a huge spot in my heart.
But to hear it like this is a double edged sword.
It's absolutely beautiful but it does bring memories back of the friends I've lost to suicide and depression.
People, please...you're NOT alone.
You're not hopeless.
You're not useless.
You're not worthless.
Stay strong. Stay the course.

I lost my father when I was 10 allso and there music help me make it throw so much and now that I'm 36 with 4 boys I think God for them for help me make it to this point
I was born in the biggest slum in Bangkok, Thailand that surrounded by drugs a crimes as you can imagine that i did not have to much chance for education because of financial status. when i was in high scool I first heard their songs I didn't know what the songs saying about (most of Thai people don't know English at that time) so i tried hard to practice my English just because wanted to know what each song means. I can say their song kept me away from anything bad and Linkin Park is the most inspire of mine.. listening to thier songs is like having them beside.

Bagus Wardana yeah it's crazy when I think about how long I've been following them. I've been so proud of them my whole life, left in awe. I will never stop loving this band. The amount of pain I feel from chesters death is unbelievable. I feel like I lost a 17 year friendship with him. as crazy as that sounds.

This version of the song and the original both have a lot of meaning to me personally. I listened to linkin park a lot, and still do. Their music helped me through a lot, even when I didn't realize it did. When Chester died, ill be honest, at first I didn't cry. But looking back at all of the songs, listening to his voice.. I realized that LP had a lot to do with my life now, my music choices and my happiness because of those choices were all inspired by me listening to this music. And I finally cried. Sorry for a long comment, this is just a touching song.

I'll never forget the day I found out chester died my entire world stopped for a minute and I screamed and cried because he was such a beautiful person but then I heard this cover and now I'm not sad anymore I realise this is exactly what chester would have wanted was for people to feel joy from hearing his music being remade :) absolutely beautiful job well done on covering this mate

This is sooo Beautiful! Such a great way to honor a true legend. I hope Bennington truly knew how many of us absolutely adored him and fell in love with the lyrics that poured from within. Sometimes brutal but always honest. His songs were about the REAL ppl in the world. The Real world that can be a cold and cruel place. It’s reality and it’s what he lived with everyday. I honor his bravery in speaking about the abuse at a young age and spoke in depth about how it lead him to a deep dark place that so many of us know all too well. I hope he knew how much he was adored and loved.

i can't turn off the emotion of depression i feel unhappy all the time so its hard to live on being depressed for so long and can't be happy so i know the struggle i have a past that i really don't like to talk about but i live on cuz i made a promise to her to live on no matter what goes on or how many thing i face throught life so i'm here still wanting to die but i listen to this and i put the knife down and think about her and i go on in life

We both just looked at each other in the eye and slowly began crying as the song kept on playing. No words were needed in that moment, but it's one of the closest moments i've ever had with my mom.
