- ANOTHER successful flea market adventure. Usually I don’t find as much, and sometimes I spend way more money for less. I was lucky to have gotten what I got for as cheaply as I paid. Although, in my opinion I did go crazy for some moldy dolls, and shouldn’t have paid as much as I did, I did end up feeling bad for them so good for them that they’re now fixed up! The fashions probably is what I’m the most excited for even still! They’re so nice. I’m also excited to start work on the Madame Alexander Cissy doll, which I’ll do a whole transformation and restoration video on. Which will probably be a long one, so be warned lol.
I appreciate everyone who’s here and enjoys my content! Really makes me happy to know I’ve found more friends out there to share my doll collecting with. Out of all the hobbies one could have, it seems like doll collecting gets the worst rep. Which is unfair to all of the nice people who do it! So whoever you are, whether you watch my videos frequently or not, this is a non judgment zone and you’re welcome to be here. And I understand, dolls are a particular flavor and a very vast market. There’s gonna be some dolls we all don’t like, like restaurants. But I can appreciate if you like them and vise versa!
Anywho, I have more coming out this week. More restoration tutorials and reviews! I do again want to apologize about some of the audio in my previous posts. I need to save some time to try to restore their audio, as when I got copyright claimed, they took out my voice, not just the music. So whoops. But I am trying to stay focused on moving forward at this time because I’m new to this and have even better projects planned! So bare with me:)

They are some of the most beautiful fashions. The quality is pretty good, with the exception of the purple stole. But at least they included it and tried lol

Yes! Thank you!! My collection is vast. It used to be much larger even so. But I have had to cut down a bit and share the love so to speak. And allow myself to restore items and let them go back out into collectors hands. Thank you for the compliments and being here!!

Hello 👋 from Connecticut. I just found your channel and I have been enjoying it. I too am a Barbie collector who’s desperately trying to recreate my collection with the Barbies I grew up playing with as a lil girl. I’m a more “mature lady” 😂 of 54 so we are talking the vintage time period from the mid 70s until the early 80s. So that would be Superstar Barbie, Golden Dreams, Beauty secrets, black Barbie, Hispanic Barbie and Pretty in pink.
I didn’t get a chance to own western Barbie as a kid but my friend did and I got to play with hers. You did an excellent job transforming your western Barbie!!! She looks prettier then the ones straight out of he box!!! 💜💃💃🏽

I have some great plans coming in the works, and I hope you’ll be here along for the ride! I’m so happy you were able to experience the superstar era first hand. I bet it was something else! I got to experience very late 90s Barbie and mostly early and mid 2000s Barbie. But the big doll craze that i remember was actually the Bratz dolls. My older sister and I were very fortunate to have as many play things as we had, we had Barbie, bratz, and 3 American girl dolls between us. I need to do a collection tour, and separate them by era. So that way we can all reminisce about the dolls of the past!
@@disneybarbiegirl615 Yessss please I would love to see your collection! From the glimpse I’ve gotten it looks amazing! Barbies were an escape for me growing up in the 70s and 80s. I have lots of stories about Barbie. Like, how I lost Superstar Barbie’s head in the lake lol. 😂 Or how I used the Mego Cher doll as Barbie’s villain!! 🤣
Great haul!!! I LOVE that 'Poncho Put-On' yellow vinyl poncho and orange/yellow houndstooth jumpsuit as it's one of those eccentric and unique fashions from the early 70's! Those Madame Alexander Cissy dolls are major!!! Even the TLC one is so charming. Also love that 1983 'Party Nights' fashion pack. I remember seeing that purple outfit with the fur stole on a Golden Dream Barbie in the 1983 booklet and thinking that she stepped out of a scene from 'Dynasty!' LOL I also loved seeing your childhood dolls, especially that gorgeous Hawaiian. And I always have a soft spot for Beauty Secrets Barbie!!! I got her for my 10th Birthday and it was the special edition with the three-way full length mirror... I chose her myself at a big city department store.... (Though truth be told, I REALLY wanted Beauty Secrets Christie!) Memories!
I remember seeing the poncho put-on jumpsuit on a PJ when I was in high school and thinking it was sold by itself. Because I actually love it. I didn’t know it was sold with that poncho until recently, always learning new things lol 😂 YES! I saw Cissy and said “oh yeah, you’re coming with me.” I’ve restored 20 now, and each time one comes out better than the next! I’m very excited to get started on her. I have so many dolls waiting in line though in front of her, so we shall see when that will be. But I do know that her restoration will be helpful to collectors as well. Because she is a typical played with doll that you’d find, and a lot of people are afraid of the investment of getting one like this and not really knowing what to do with her. I was so tempted to put that purple dress on golden dream actually, but Hawaiian Barbie to me has always been a vixen. And I think she filled out the dress pretty well. But eventually it’s going to be a dress shared by many lol I’m really loving the superstar era right now, and I’m keeping my eyes peeled on the fashions! Thats so cool that you got the special beauty secrets doll with the mirror!! Christie is on my list, so I can see why you wanted her! I actually think she’s prettier. I have watched deans video on his a million times!!

Yes she does. The Saran variant actually is the more common one. Making the platinum hair doll more rare. However her rarity is kind of a curse considering how crap the hair is. It’s not good nylon. It’s poly. But a flat iron treatment helped her!

@@huntertomlin3523 I’ve found several! If you’re looking out in the wild good luck, I hope you find one with both hands! If you look on eBay, and you’re looking for an affordable doll, type in 1979 barbie. That’s the trademark date on her body, and lots are listed “1979 Barbie” not knowing they have beauty secrets. Good luck on finding her! She’s really cute!
Thinking about getting a western barbie but she will need tlc. Hopefully, I can make her wink again because right now she looks very drunk.
I’m sure you can! If I can do it so can you. I didn’t use any fancy 3d printing or resins. If I can film it sometime soon, it’ll be a good watch!
How do you wash thier clothes?
With hot water, oxyclean, dish soap, rinse, hang dry, starch, low heat iron press. Lol
