Join me on an adrenaline-filled ride day at the renowned Mt Cotton Mountain Bike Park, located just south of Brisbane1. This park is known for its unique sand grit style terrain and top-tier trails1, making it a paradise for mountain biking enthusiasts.
In this video, we tackle the challenging Black Diamond Trails, known as Westys, which are filled with huge jumps and wild features. Watch as we conquer the main jump features, pushing our limits and testing our skills.
There’s never a dull moment as we also ride the Shenanigans and Powerful Howl trails2. These trails offer a mix of technical challenges and fast-paced sections that keep us on our toes.
But it’s not all smooth sailing - catch Josh’s crash on the Blacking Out Flow Trail. It’s a reminder of the thrills and spills that come with the sport we love.
I also have a close call at the top of Westys, narrowly avoiding a crash. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of safety gear and staying alert on the trails.
Mt Cotton Mountain Bike Park is a gem in the mountain biking world, boasting a variety of Blue and Black Diamond Trails1. Most of the trails are packed with plenty of jumps and wild features, making every ride an adventure.

@@JohnnyThe_G I did it before it was built up again after that big rain event that cooked a lot of the trails. It seemed much bigger and more intimidating after they fixed it up, but I just need to give it a good crack.
@@EzzRidesBikes yeah man I feel that. It’s very kicky, the step down is fine, just go faster and faster at it I reckon, not much in the step up part 👌👌
Love Mount Cotton but by the time I was ready to do Westies and Blanking out everyone had left 😝 ... keen to look at the step down step up feature if I ever get back there

@@JohnnyThe_G Yeah, the first one has a gap which I have not been confident to try yet (I don't know how to jump), and the second left hander has the drop in it that I don't love, but can do it.
I enjoy watching others go down the run that I find challenging, but enjoy.
