You either have to spend hundreds of dollars buying expensive packs to earn diamond cards or spend hundreds of hours scouting the auction house to make MT and earn the diamond cards. God forbid they actually reward you for playing the game which is all I want to do. But you can spend hours playing and end up making bugger all MT after you pay for contracts. Love the idea of my team unfortunately 2K just see it as a money making machine. The only diamond cards I will receive are for finishing historic domination and grinding black top.
Appreciate your comments and definitely can see where you're coming from. Sure, this game is definitely set up to PAY TO PLAY. But I think this season is also set up really well to reward people that play the game. The weekly challenges, if you've kept up with them since early tip off weekend, you've picked up some pretty nice cards - Sapphire Pack, Ruby Cooper, Amethyst KJ and in a couple weeks Diamond Willis Reed. Collection rewards this season have been great right from the start with Emerald Jay Williams. Robert Horry, Q, Ruby Rodman, Sapphire James Edwards, Ruby Walker and Oakley, Amethyst Michael Ray Richardson are all great. If you rock thru Domination and Historic Domination, the items you collect will help you move up the collections reward ladder. Plus this year, there are a ton of 250 mt items that count toward collection rewards. Rockin' Blacktop there are a ton of nice reward cards available - sapphire Team USA cards, ruby cards, amethyst Finley and Stoudemire, Diamond McHale and Pink Diamond Thomas. And the auction house? I think its the best unofficial MyTeam game mode. Working the auction house is good fun. I'll party up with friends. We'll call out when the auction house has updated. And then we'll play Blacktop games or friendly matches in between updates. The MT you make working the auction house, you can either use to buy packs or go after the cards you really want in the auction house. And so far 2k17 has been solid for a steady stream of content too. Always getting new moments cards and moments challenges that actually reward you with a fair amount of MT for finishing. And also dig the new dynamic duo system which makes lineup creation interesting/fun.
Yep agree. I have a lot of sapphire reward cards and the ruby Cooper. 2K did do right with the moments challenges with some good MT rewards. I'm an older guy (mid 30's) still getting used to the culture change of pay to play. I probably would enjoy working the auction block as it is the collection side of my team I enjoy but unfortunately don't have the time. Try to use the time I have playing the game. Nice vids though keep up the good work. Some definite grinding going on there. I do play a lot of black top as the games only take 10 minutes or so. Have used your vids as they have good pointers. Try to use a lot players you do.
Ben Stanley the best thing about this year in myteam compared to the previous years are the moments challenges, most of them give u 10,000 mt and they have been pretty consistent with the release
And in the end, its a shitty game mode lol if u like sim that is if u like cheesy unrealistic basketball then sure but if u want real game of hoops, myteam is ass lol play now online is the way to go

Spaceward Bird2 u make a lot of mt in a short amount of time but i like watching u and 2BG for tips and i learned a lot from u two back in 2k16 and this year but i dont play 2k as much
Thanks! Yeah, definitely Budget Ballin' is the way to go. Feels good to work/earn the lineup vs. throwing more cash at it. Opening packs is fun. But prefer to work the auction house and get the players I really want vs. trusting pack odds/pack luck.
Hey man, I sent you a tweet a while back like you ask. I was going to mention that I played against a Charles Barkley the other day in blktop. He's a freak, his stats are nuts yeah, but the card plays better than that somehow. He plays just like a point guard, dribble moves are extremely crispy and his shot is great. He is out of this world. I was hopeless to guard him with Amethyst Paul Pierce who has great defensive stats, he's that good on the perimeter. The PD Kobe is great, but the Sir Charles card is on another level. You can't stop it. It's like a created player dominating on rookie difficulty. After I really saw what that card was about I immediately finished the big man set. That card should be everyone's ultimate goal now. I honestly don't know if they know what they've done, once that card gets out players without him will riot.
+Eddie It's an unstoppable force card. At PF it will be so overpowered. The post statistics are there even if he is only 6'6, and I believe he has all 99's rebounding. The dribble moves are like that Ruby Jamal Crawford or Stephen Curry, not the same ofc but they are just so crispy and fast. That's truly a pay to win card.
Yeah totally. I was lucky enough to be able to use him on blacktop a few days after the big men and dream team collections were released and he's insane. He even has an A in 3 point shooting. I don't remember what his release is like but none-the-less he is the official god card in this 2k.

CrisLan Yambao Thanks, I completely stopped buying packs with mt, because last year I probably opened round 50 and my best pull throughout the entire year was current kyrie or silver John starks. So I said I'm never buying packs, but I was feeling it for some odd reason. I'm usually very unlucky lol
I wouldn't recommend Kiki at the 2 personally - I think you should consider starting Mitch next to Hardaway. It brings Tim to a 95 OVR, and brings Mitch's driving layup to a 96, open shot mid to a 97, and (with a shoe) open shot 3 to a 95 (and some great athleticism and defense buffs). Brings Mitch to a 91 OVR, but he outplays that rating.

Definitely will give Hardaway/Richmond duo a run! And yeah, good call out. Color of the card doesn't mean anything. It's how it plays on the court. There are a lot of cards like that that play WAY above their card color.
Personally, I never have more than 70,000 mt at a time and just get whatever good cards I can get with whatever amount I have at the moment. Great lineup! I really like sapphire KD. I see you have sapphire Westbrook and Kawhi. Worth giving ruby Westbrook a look if you like Kawhi as they are a dynamic duo. The boosts are decent. There are better duos tho imo. Some cards to look at: I'd recommend picking up emerald moments Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. They're an AMAZING duo and both overalls go to an 86. The ratings boosts that make them play like amethyst cards. Both are great off the bench. Also, really like running emerald Deandre Jordan and emerald Whiteside. No duo. But they play great. Gonna need them for those final rounds of historic domination. There's a silver Nike shoe that gives +6 off and def rebound boost you can find for 250 mt buy now. One other duo to look at - if you're working your way up the collections reward ladder is ruby Antoine Walker and rookie rewind Paul Pierce. Walker is AMAZING. PF with play making of Carmelo Anthony. Elite rebounding boosts. And a scorer, too. Pierce gets some great boosts too.

I opened 3 21 of the Thunder/Knicks pack boxes the other night and the best card i got was the ruby Dennis Johnson, i just dont get how you can have so much MT - I've grinded and grinded on the auction house and can never get my MT past 100k. I envy you, your pack luck must be insane. Oh how I wish I could be a youtuber, and then 2k would look after me instead of reaming me lol
We don't open packs. I'll work the auction house for an hour or two on days when new content is released. I'm going after player cards, collectibles, etc that I can flip for double or more. In this vid, I went thru all the historic team collections and took notes on what the cards were selling for. I did this over a few days. Taking more notes on changes on prices. And the volume of specific cards that were posted. Doing this you'll get a feel for what has value. Another way to make mt is to look at emerald and sapphire moments cards. There are a lot with good value. To determine their value, search the cards by price range. 500-2000, 2000-3000, 3000-4000, 4000 and up. When do cards start to appear? Cards like emerald Lavine and Porzingis show up in that 4000 and up price range. Find them for less? That's a snipe. Repost the cards with buy now prices in their correct price range to sell.

I use a player filter first. Once I know the auction house has updated I MOVE QUICKLY. Looking at other player cards (usually filter by color or card type). And then looking at badges, shoes, playbooks, courts, jerseys, coaches and logos.
You think it's messed up now? Just wait! Christmas time - brings CHRISTMAS NOOBS! Everyone ripping packs and throwing items away in the auction house. GET READY!
Good question. I've got some friends I like to party up with. We'll hang out. Work the auction house for an hour or two. We'll call out when the auction has updated. And then in between updates play Blacktop games or run friendlies for a quarter to try out player cards, new lineups, etc. Average refresh I'm finding 5-6 items. Eddie like back when you could flip bronzes easily Id have like only 5 things in my auction at a time.... But I got to 250k with that method so it worked. Just hard now cause the cheaper cards are really cheap and the expensive are really expensive and I never see anyone post below their value

You may be the luckiest person ever to have gotten that Diamond McHale. I failed to pull a single good card this week. Completed the 10th board two times over and my best card was an emerald card. Really 2k? Needed to get a player though, so dropped some MT on the droppin' 50 Allan Houston. Amazing card. Lights out shooter and with difficult shots gold equipped is broken on blacktop, coming with gold Limitless range and deep range deadeye standard.
Zachary Bumstead ur prolly right. I dont like posting up with the 4 i prefer my 4 to be athletic and a good shooter and grab boards by either length or rating so like KD, antoine walker, shaun marion, larry johnson, porzingis. I would put mchale at the 5 but my Cs rn are mikan and alonzo, both of them are more athletic, better shooters, equivilent post players, better defenders, more versatile than mchale so for me he wouldnt fit at the 4 or the 5 so i dont really use him. Honestly like this ruby eddie jones more than mchale
The Boss I can see why that wouldn't work as well. I run him off the bench behind jerry Lucas. Stretch fours are nice but as long as they can score I'll use a power forward. I prefer to run a pick and roll game scoring with pink diamond isiah or Steve Francis. My backcourt carries my scoring load.
The Boss another question. How good is that Dennis Johnson. I looked him up on mtcentral and his stats didn't looks like they would transfer well into the game
i don't understand how you do to find badges and players for 50 items in 1 or 2 hours i maybe snipe two or three items by hour and most of the time there is nothing , i'm spaming when it's refresh i use a timer to know almost exaclty when it"s refresh and i start spamming 10 to 20 secondes before the timer goes to 15:00 to be sure and still need a week to have 20 000 mt
always looking to keep the "shelves stocked." am i doing this in a day? no. It adds up over time though. Try to work the auction house on days when new content is released. Also, if I'm going to play some myteam, i'm always checking out the auction house. hitting up a refresh/update or two. the badges, shoes, player cards, etc start adding up.
I suck a sniping, like I don't even know when it refreshes, I dont get what people mean every 15 mins on the hour. My xbox isn't even set to the 2K time

Hey Space, loving your videos. I was wondering what to actually search in the auction house and what cards have value, that is my only problem.
In this vid, I went thru all the historic team collections and took notes on what the cards were selling for. I did this over a few days. Taking more notes on changes on prices. And the volume of specific cards that were posted. Doing this you'll get a feel for what has value. Another way to make mt is to look at emerald and sapphire moments cards. There are a lot with good value. To determine their value, search the cards by price range. 500-2000, 2000-3000, 3000-4000, 4000 and up. When do cards start to appear? Cards like emerald Lavine and Porzingis show up in that 4000 and up price range. Find them for less? That's a snipe. Repost the cards with buy now prices in their correct price range to sell.

How are you doing this? The Auction refreshes and then you look for like 10 different things? Or do you focus on 1 per refresh?
I use a player filter first. Once I know the auction house has updated I MOVE QUICKLY. Looking at other player cards (usually filter by color or card type). And then looking at badges, shoes, playbooks, courts, jerseys, coaches and logos.

Good question. I've got some friends I like to party up with. We'll hang out. Work the auction house for an hour or two. We'll call out when the auction has updated. And then in between updates play Blacktop games or run friendlies for a quarter to try out player cards, new lineups, etc. Average refresh I'm finding 5-6 items. Eddie like back when you could flip bronzes easily Id have like only 5 things in my auction at a time.... But I got to 250k with that method so it worked. Just hard now cause the cheaper cards are really cheap and the expensive are really expensive and I never see anyone post below their value

Yeah, it's the best way to make BIG MT right now. I think a lot of people are ready to make that next big step and improve their lineups with these historic diamond reward cards.

You may be the luckiest person ever to have gotten that Diamond McHale. I failed to pull a single good card this week. Completed the 10th board two times over and my best card was an emerald card. Really 2k? Needed to get a player though, so dropped some MT on the droppin' 50 Allan Houston. Amazing card. Lights out shooter and with difficult shots gold equipped is broken on blacktop, coming with gold Limitless range and deep range deadeye standard.

The Boss it depends on your play style. I use him off the bench for rebounding defends and the occasional post up. He plays just fine for me
Zachary Bumstead ur prolly right. I dont like posting up with the 4 i prefer my 4 to be athletic and a good shooter and grab boards by either length or rating so like KD, antoine walker, shaun marion, larry johnson, porzingis. I would put mchale at the 5 but my Cs rn are mikan and alonzo, both of them are more athletic, better shooters, equivilent post players, better defenders, more versatile than mchale so for me he wouldnt fit at the 4 or the 5 so i dont really use him. Honestly like this ruby eddie jones more than mchale

The Boss I can see why that wouldn't work as well. I run him off the bench behind jerry Lucas. Stretch fours are nice but as long as they can score I'll use a power forward. I prefer to run a pick and roll game scoring with pink diamond isiah or Steve Francis. My backcourt carries my scoring load.
The Boss another question. How good is that Dennis Johnson. I looked him up on mtcentral and his stats didn't looks like they would transfer well into the game

i don't understand how you do to find badges and players for 50 items in 1 or 2 hours i maybe snipe two or three items by hour and most of the time there is nothing , i'm spaming when it's refresh i use a timer to know almost exaclty when it"s refresh and i start spamming 10 to 20 secondes before the timer goes to 15:00 to be sure and still need a week to have 20 000 mt
always looking to keep the "shelves stocked." am i doing this in a day? no. It adds up over time though. Try to work the auction house on days when new content is released. Also, if I'm going to play some myteam, i'm always checking out the auction house. hitting up a refresh/update or two. the badges, shoes, player cards, etc start adding up.
