We stay there at least twice a year and it's the BEST campground ever! One tip: If you find yourself "spending too much" checking out Tower, Rushmore, Custer State Park, and the Caves, hiking in various parts of spearfish canyon is FREE and has GREAT picnic spots. There is also a neat fish hatchery museum in Spearfish that is also FREE. So two places you can check out for which you don't have to pay a thing. I have always loved this campground. We ended up staying there the first time because our car broke down, all the motels and hotels were BOOKED and they put us up with our tent for the night even though it was after 10pm and various campers and they helped us out with finding a repair shop during 4th of July weekend!

I tent camped at Kickstands Campground... wasn't super cheap but not super expensive either... had nice clean facilities... showers, laundry room, also a bar/ restaurant with a stage live music at night and served 3 meals a day.
Sounds good we was out there Wednesday night for dinner...Just filmed campground today

We’ve stayed at Chris’ for many many years. We love it there and Lanna is like family. Pretty sure my dad told you to check it out when we saw you in Sturgis. He was watching your videos for a week before the rally started and sending them all to me. Keep it up!

Happy belated Birthday Tam!!! Hey guys thanks for going to the campground we stay at every year. Not sure if I told you to go there when I talked to you in downtown Sturgis or not. I know I did tell you thats where we were camped. We love Lanna, she is like family to us. One thing you need to know when camping at Chris's Campground, she will only take money(green backs) and your personal check. We have been camping there for about 16 or so years now. We love it there, Lanna always treats everyone like a long lost friend. Thanks for doing this video!!! Her rates for Sturgis week are about $100/night depending on what service you want for your rig. The reserved spots are all pretty much in the shaded area. She also has an overflow area but not sure what she charges for that. No reservations needed for the overflow area. You can still use all of the showers, pools, etc even if you camp in the overflow area. They also have a food vendor there under a huge roofed area. You can eat breakfast and dinner as well which is cheaper than eating in Sturgis. They are 17 miles West of Sturgis(short ride) and 10 miles North of Deadwood(very short ride). www.chriscampground.com/
