For reasons you describe, this could be a good choice in standard trim. Unfortunately these cars tend to be used by clowns who think they should be heard with their noisy, modified exhaust systems as they drive through residential areas, like mine!
Thanks for this review! This is a realistic used car in New Zealand! This model would still fetch a high price here and many are still in good condition! 🙂
@@lloydvehicleconsulting The standard ones are not all across our streets, nevertheless they are quite common and have a loyal following in New Zealand.

Hello Joseph , This is the sort of car you would buy new , back when it was new , you would have to be prepared to keep for ten years or more and to look after it to get your moneys worth out of it .
Sadly a meh car. Suffer rust. Drive so so ok. As a seller. In motor trade. Just well. Terrible. Even as AWD in Pearl white mica metallic. They just struggle sell. But hey ho. To be fair unless see ice or snow regular a MK2.5 Focus 1.6 zetec petrol much better car 07/57 or 0808 on
Very unusual car, especially in this more standard form. Quite nice to drive, actually, with a surprising amount of power. Not keen on the rust or the seemingly low quality interior, however, but really privileged to have had a go in such a rare car.
Nice to see such a rare model being reviewed.
We aim to please, sir! Leigh certainly does have an interesting collection of cars for sale.
A Brilliant review as always Sir, was never a fan of this generation of imprezza, but for the money nowadays it seems be a good buy if you need AWD.
Yes, not many rivals with four wheel drive for this sort of money, really.

Yes sir, rare to see one without a massive exhaust and a turbo on it! Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting as usual.
The saloon versions are quite rare in New Zealand too.
They didn't sell the saloon version of this generation over here from what I understand.

The rust tends to kill off lots of these, they are not common in standard form like this at all.

@@alaricbragg7843 , yes, still plenty around here, but they tend to be the WRX or modified versions.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Colin McRae's rallying success helped British sales, I figure.
In New Zealand Subarus are thought of as either boy racer or Farmer's cars (The latter sector would appreciate high ratios on our terrain!).
This one was used by someone who needed the 4WD traction from what I understand.

@@alaricbragg7843 , I think that is how Subaru would have seen it, sir.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting May you consider getting The Wurzels to sing a song extolling the usefulness of Subarus to rural motorists on your channel?
Fairly certain this model was offered with forbidden fuel but was soon taken off due to the boxer complications
Not in the UK as far as I know.
the sports version of those are brill go like the wind .but expensive to own.
Oh yes, I have driven an STi WRX of this generation on a track, and it was very fast!

Probably depreciated terribly back in the day, and they didn't sell too many of them anyway...
May you dye your hair Blonde like the late Paul Walker? How do you safely install the nitro?
Sir, you know neither of those things is going to happen...
I don't even think Subaru bothered with you know what engines. Boxers are made for speed not waste disposal vehicles.
They didn't in this country, sir.
Fuel economy not great on these and no real stand out qualities apart from the 4WD and reliability.
You'd have to be a die hard Subaru fan to buy one.
That is probably why they didn't sell too many of these in the first place...
