The 'silly' Impreza' you mention is my son's. He's 21 and modifying cars, especially at that age is a given for any enthusiast. I am pleased you have tried to big up the Impreza RX because it's a good, underrated and rare car. Just don't stereotype because you come across as little old, boring and out of touch.
Not saying I don't like modified cars, if they are done well, but equally when I was looking for mine I actively ignored any that were modified which eliminated about 40% of the cars available. That's fine when you are looking for something that sold well, but when you are looking for a car as rare as an Impreza RX that makes the search deeply frustrating.
