I know the Greyscale is supposed to just be a filter like 'remembering the interrogations like a memory' But I think in this context with it greying out every flower it makes it look like Shidou's quest was always futile.
I recently showed my brother MILGRAM and he came up with an interesting interpretation of "Throw Down" The idea was basically that Shidou was almost like Light Yagami, in the sense that hes letting people die intentionally if he believes they dont deserve to be saved. Shidou wants to craft the perfect society, and he plans to do whatever it takes to achieve it. With the scene of him cutting the flowers, hes using bonsai scissors. Bonsai trees are cut down to perfection, constantly maintained and managed. When youre cutting a bonsai tree, you only cut the branches and leaves you dont think fit into your idea for the tree. So hes essentially cutting out the parts of society he dislikes or dont deem as worthy. Then, at the end with the person made out of flowers, it symbolizes the amalgamation of all the work hes done as a doctor. When it dies, Shidou sees his plan fail to craft the perfect society he wanted to create, and realizes he wasnt able to accomplish his dream. The constant "Please dont forgive me" and "Thats why I want this to end" is his disappointment with himself, not because he realized what he was doing was wrong, but because he failed. On the MILGRAM app Shidou was asked 30 different questions, one of which being along the lines of "Why did you choose to work in your field?" His answer was, "To make society a better place" Anyway I agree more with the idea of organ harvesting because its a lot more plausible for that to be seen as morally grey, but I thought this was a cool theory.
I am gonna be honest, I don’t view it as organ harvesting. I view it more as that he was the one who had to take patients off life support, and eventually he had to do that to somebody he loved. Him cutting off the heads of flowers symbolizes it, as it’s quick and doesn’t leave a mess, unlike organ harvesting. The flower person at the end could symbolize the person he loved falling apart, and him ripping up the tag at the end is him taking them off life support, although that’s just my opinion.
Honestly i’m really interested in your brother’s theory. I think it’d be a really neat concept but as far as the song i’m more in line with the life support theory.

don't think so, notice that the one who got voted guilty have a strong personality, i think it's because of that we can see the difference between originals and es covers. Amane's cover will have a clear contrast because it's a cheerful song with a "child voice" that es have to tune it down and keep it neutral so it'll probably sound emotionless not because she's guilty but because she have a strong personality.
