In the past, it's always been more upstanding to wear more and more extravagant jewellery, bigger, poofier, detailed dresses, bold make-up, so show you are rich and can afford all the over the top gear. Same with houses, the more cluttered they were, the richer you looked. Now everybody opts for minimalistic. I find it a bit boring. I'm very much an 1800s girl, so the poofier and bolder, the better! I love my poofy dresses.

The tiara is only worn by royal women during very special occasions and both are to show their married status and to let other guests know they are unavailable. A married princess not wearing a tiara to such an occasion is like a married man/woman talking off their wedding ring to go to a bar or club. It’d be inappropriate. I think they would still be able to pick 2 out of the 3 (necklace, earrings, bracelet).
Not only for royals I generally don't like overdoing the contouring and all especially when it's way to prominent and looks like multiple layers on face which doesn't even match the color of neck most of the time...natural looks are more attractive and classy
