In the Hela game at 20:00, I'm curious what would have happened if you played Ghost before Gambit on that last turn. Would her ongoing have kicked in and delayed Gambit until after the opponent played? Seems weird for that to happen, but I never run Ghost, so I have no idea how her interaction works.
@@MichaelHeller No Ghost does not influence the turn she is played. Priority is decided at the start of each turn, so Ghost only influences future turns

My respects to Regis, but Exodia Gambit is flat out one of the most unreliable decks i’ve ever played. Hardly ever drew into the combo that would get me a win.
I feel the matchmaking in SNAP is absolutly horrendous to many time a deck Is built and then all you get is mirror matches or matches against specific decks that are geared to stop the deck you just built. I wish that matches would be completely random.
Exactly this. Came back to the game after about a year. Tried different decks, did climb decently wel till I hit 80+. Mostly was smart snapping an retreating and in some cases a bit of luck. But after I hit 80+ it just didnt matter what I played, I just kept getting counters to my deck. Have a Wong, they have a Rogue. Have Destruction, hit into Armor + Cosmo. There are so many anti tech in this game and just overall toxic cards, strategies and locations. That after getting back for like a week or two I am already burned out and quitting again.
There must be some kind of hidden deck archetype matchmaking. I swear I always start to see completely different decks as soon as I start playing a different one.
Considering that "engagement based matchmaking" does exist in another game, I do believe the match in this game are rigged as well using that or similar algorithm.

Wait a minute, lore wise, Gambit was actually a super potential character that consciously nerf himself. This deck perfectly showcases the true potential of un-nerfed Gambit. He'll destroy everything.
I have the almost exact deck as you, the only differences is that I don’t use ghost nor swarm, instead I use ravonna and Psylocke. OG exodia deck getting the love it deserves especially how OP it was in the OG meta. Sad to see how the gambit got reworked tho :(
I've tried Gambit decks to work so many times, but unfortunately it's too unreliable to be consistent. And the reason is simple: it relies on ALWAYS DRAWING GAMBIT. When I modify it to make more flexible, other 3 costs end up fitting better and the whole archetype falls appart.
I played the last day's nearly the same. It's a Surfer Exodia Gambit deck. It's a bit more flexible than yours - my opinion. You have the Surfer line or the gambit way. But I had the same experience like you... only one or two Hela. Other decks had surprisingly always a counter like Armor, Cosmo or... fucking-nerver-see-in-play rogue. 😂 But it's fun.
On 19:37, what would actually happened if you put Odin on Cloning Vats with Wong, Gambit, and Onslaught? How many cards can Gambit potentially destroy?
You need an iron heart for those games where destroying is harmful to you. It also gives you an option if you don’t draw gambit. Also I would take out ghost because with these decks you usually don’t have priority anyways and I would put in iron lad. He’s come in clutch when I don’t have the gambit or iron heart and I only have 2 cards left in the deck. Also I’d take out absorbing man and put in crystal or Howard that extra draw or knowing what’s next and having iron lad can come in so clutch when you pay 4 for a sera copy or onslaught copy. That’s what I’ve been running and just winning non stop unless it’s a disrupt deck
Possible substitutions for ghost: 1- if you don't hit the gambit, maybe Dr. Doom. 2- a more direct replacement I think could be Proxima, so you at least get a body on the board if the combo goes off.
The important of this deck is to draw Gambit. Maybe you can change Ghost to Iron Heart if you dont draw Gambit. I had tried similar deck like that, without Wave and Onslaught
I hate the fast forward feature because it'll skip stuff like that and other stuff that is affecting the board state, but then I'll have to sit through the buggy minds ape animation slowly giving collected +1 power 10 times
This season is the first season (only been playing for 4 months...) that I have not achieved Infinate. I hit 99...TWO WEEKS AGO! And Im currently sitting at 84. I cant get a grasp of the Meta and Im sad about it 😩

I have a similar deck I call Windshield (because it's a board Wiper), though yours is better constructed. That said, I very rarely play it, because it requires so many pieces at the right times that it's *so hard* to get the Gambit board wipe combo off.

Pretty sure there is. It takes into account win rates against different decks, I think, when deciding who to match you with.

I run a Silver Surfer variant of this and won an infinity conquest. If they’re a destroy deck you just use the surfer package
How about collector over ghost? You're not doing a lot on t2 and he can win a lane by himself when you go off discarding Swarm and Apocalypse

No it doesn't give your opponent priority immediately when played only the turn after ghost is played
