In Iraq we used to take our HMMWV’s out in the Iraqi desert and tear it up rain is the worst nightmare for our hmmwvs that sand becomes like sticky clay . Man We used to break sooooo many halfshafts off-roading it was crazy on deployments . I slept many nights on top my hmmwv or sometimes on top the 5ton to sleep under the Iraqi desert . hits popped off with the Iraqis . That was when I was a young man . Me I’m almost 50 with full blown PTSD and disabilities. But I wouldn’t change it all for anything . Oh the memories I get when I see a hmmwv feels good . I love how you dropped it . I always told people how the hmmwv would look killer slammed . Looks awesome .

For context since I was too curious and had to figure out what's going on: This is indeed a real build, though you're not crazy for thinking it looks like CGI, as the matte paint, mirror-like windshield reflections and general style of the video definitely make it seem that way, but this video seems to be from the test drive Gas Monkey Garage filmed and you can easily find the full video here on YT. It is built by Denton Arts Kustoms and just sold at Barrett Jackson Auctions for $825,000.

The only thing functional about a Humvee is that it actually did carry people and things... other than that it was a pig it's too heavy and it needs a turbo so bad I can't see straight.

Been building offices where they manufacture those humvees. It's really crazy how the bodies are bolted together instead of pinch welded. The next humvees also look completely different
