Stats-wise, the Assassin is a few levels lower than the scaled player due to a code-mishap yet somehow has a bug to give him INFINITE magic!? Also, he has no spells, just pure sneak and melee build.
Sundercliff Watch - the easternmost map marker in the game (except for a possible random Oblivion gate). In my first Oblivion playthrough, I installed a mod so that I could give Mehrunes Razor to Martin when he needs a Daedric artefact. It seemed suitably ironic to use Mehrunes Dagon's own weapon against him, but you can't do it without mods.
Inside sundercliff mines lies a small patch of farmland and beside it is a barrel. This barrel holds a unique weapon simply called "hoe", a two-handed blunt weapon that has a 4% chance to give you the disease "ticklebritch". It also comes with an unlisted enchantment called rusted edge which has a 100% chance to give your opponent a disease on hit. I think this would be an excellent weapon to do a challenge run with, maybe a lusty argonian maid or something similar.
Also, this isnt just a dlc about The Razor. It's arguably where Mankar hid the razor, immedietly after he shifted his nymic (what race a character is) or Dagon told him too. Either way, the last person who should have touched the razor, that we personally talked to, or even heard of, was M. Camaron. Its a great dlc that calls attention to the Champion of Dagon.
@@ABardsBallad Fantastic video! Can't wait for you to cover the Pieces of the Past quest in Skyrim where you must recover the Razor which has been broken into multiple pieces and must be recovered and have Dagon repair it.
If I remember correctly this version of Merune’s razor actually scales off of your luck for its effect so if you play a very lucky character it goes off more often. Makes me even more sad that we didn’t get some part of the stat system on Skyrim.
@@ABardsBallad ah I just got to the part where you mentioned it scales off of luck! Yeah it’s a neat system it just needed some tweaks and it would be perfect.
I just kinda wish Mehrunes Razor could be used as a possible artifact to use in the Main Quest. It would kinda poetic that one of Dagon's own artifacts is used to defeat him.
Such a good playthrough! I've played through this myself a few weeks ago and it is interesting to see that there are still some things that I missed! I think that this DLC was, with KoTN and SI one of the biggest, most detailed and most fun to one to play (alongside being filled with wonderful lore!). I would be really interested in seeing how you would rank all the DLCs - lore and gameplay-wise...? :) Of course, the DLCs can't get better than the Horse Armour of course, hehe. Great video, thanks!
I really appreciate it! I totally agree it was a fantastic questline to get to go through! I’m going to be putting out a master video compiling all of the minor expansions into one, but I think id rank them (from most to least favourite) - Fighters Stronghold, Mehrunes Razor, Vile Lair, Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery, Horse Armor, Spell Tomes!
This is always the last quest I do in every play through. It’s a bit of a slog and you can make out like a total bandit on all the gear you can get off everyone at L50. I’m writing this early but this is also where the transmute spell you can get in Skyrim comes from. Oh and did anyone mention the Hoe? I’ll leave you to find that. Always makes me chuckle when I find it.
LOL the opponents in here respawn, so you can make out like an even bigger bandit if you just regularly loot here. You don´t have to go all that deep, just till youi are full, and couple days later you come again. This was always my source of money to completely furnish the wizards tower, the pirate cove and the Vampire lair very early on. And that their gear becomes better and better means this is always a valid source of money no matter at what level you are.
Hell yeah Bard! As you said Dagon is missing from the available quests (understandably) as he's the big bad. Glad they released this DLC, the weapon is cool as fuck. Glad to see you covering it!!
Hey Bard, I was wondering if you've ever considered doing beginner's guide videos for the elder Scrolls games? Something with advice for what quests to do first, what factions should be joined and completed first, how to grind for up to ~10 levels?
Hey there! I would definitely consider it! Could be lots of fun! It might be more of a subjective point of view and may differ depending on classes and races, but I could try one out from an angle of how I would personally do things, and see how it goes from there!
@@ABardsBallad Thank you for considering it! I've been playing Oblivion since I was 7 years old and to this day I never know what I should do first (these days I walk the path around the Imperial City and dungeon crawl all of the forts and ayleid ruins, then complete Zero Visibility)
I ain't sure was I dissapointed or not after completing this quest. It was fun little crawl, but I think the blade itself wasn't worth all of the trouble
It's good for early game like if you do that at the start of the game you'll be so powerful but it falls off as you get higher level of course especially on higher difficulty but the RNG to get an insta kill is nice when it triggers and you really need it
@ABardsBallad this dlc is always a highlight in a playthrough: lots of infiltration challenges available, lots if combat as well. Love the robe and hood for most characters
Fun Fact: If the Morag Tong Assassin is alive, you can actually find him waiting outside of the Inn of Ill Omen.
That’s awesome! Unsure if he’s still alive for me, but I’ll have to take a stop at the inn of ill omen!
He actually goes inside and will often become hostile with the other NPCs inside
He has unique armor that you can't find anywhere else I would argue it's worth telling him for it but you know@@ABardsBallad

That’s awesome! Yeah it would’ve been cool if you could use it against him or even hit his avatar with it in the imperial city 😂

😂😂😂 I love it! I’ll definitely have to check out the weapon, and that could be such an awesome play though 😂
yeah man. funny weapon
@@ABardsBalladThe joke is that you got a disease from a hoe.
That's not where you find the Hoe. The Hoe is in the upper level of the Mines in a barrel in one of the corners of the larger cavern.
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685I could be wrong but I feel like there's multiple locations
Ur really pumping out the vids recently, much appreciated!! Thank u for ur service 🫶🖤
I’m here to deliver 🫡 glad you’re enjoying them!!
22:57 didn't expect that😂
Also I love the atmosphere and little pieces of lore in this quest, especially the letters and whole underground village
😂😂😂 and I totally get you! I was taken aback with the details for this expansion! Well done to the team behind it for sure!

I’d definitely love to learn more about Msirae Faythung
This is one I always really wanted to play and this video is the first I’ve ever actually looked into it. Thanks for all the good work as usual!
That’s wicked! Yeah I got the pleasure of going in blind so it was a nice treat for me too! Appreciate it!!
Finally the DLC I have been waiting for! The timing is insane as the coffee brewed in time for this banger video 🗡
Let’s goo! 😂 I love to hear it! Hope you enjoy this one!

That would definitely be a cool feature for it! Certainly would’ve been awesome to see it go like that 😂
That would require getting Sean Bean to come back just to record one line of dialog
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685not with a.i. or just using snippets of old voice lines to make it
If you rush this quest and then use it to fight through the main quest, I think that’s the closest you can get to that.
