Thank God brother. Certainly needed this to raise my spirits. Had an electric fire last night and It caught my mattress on fire when I was in it. Hands are pretty bad off
Whoa! Hope everything is okay over there my friend and sorry to hear about your burns!! Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again and that you heal up quickly!!
Mages not being allowed on ships has always been such a good concept to me. Obviously that isn't the case for all of Tamriel, it couldn't be, this this Pirate Captain was so sure of this unspoken rule that is caught him off-guard when it was the case. Lots of things to think about because of this one guy's journals.
This one was always my player home in oblivion. Something about it just felt right for an adventurer, and it was nice to be able to break into the castle, steal everything not nailed down, and sell it to the personal fence. It was especially funny to me doing it in the cowl of the grey fox.
If you waited one more day this first video of the year would have been a birthday present to me 😂 Love these little stronghold dlcs they’re so full of flavor to role play a character of the various types
These videos really make me want to push more into Oblivion. Right now though I am exploring Morrowind and that has been really fun…even if I’m not very good at the game lol
I've always had the player dlcs but never really explored or used any besides Frostcrag Spire. I discovered this one only a month ago for my current thief playthrough and I do agree with you: I think it's my personal favorite. Having crew as merchants and trainers is both useful and more fun than just house upgrades, similar to Battlehorn Castle. Cheers Bard
Still a bit sad you didn't get a seaworthy boat to do raids with. Even if it was just a loading screen to some random town that'd have been better than just sending three goons off to steal. Also fun fact the Fine Steel Cutlass is actually from Vanilla Oblivion. It was renamed from Sharpened Steel Cutlass and was originally only found wielded by the ghostly pirates aboard the Serpant's Wake.
This one has been really interesting to watch, I have only explored this expansion only recently and so far didn't really explored all the secrets so that's cool to see! As for the lore behind it, it is really interesting, and I do second the mysterious opening and entry to the cave mystery questions as when you get the quests they are called 'rumours' - but I suppose that is something Bethesda can still improve upon (which would be greatly appreciated by all lore-loving fans)
@ABardsBallad don't know about sweet but definitely interesting, especially his story with the Umbranox family as that gives a lot of juicy lore! what I find interesting, even though it probably means nothing is that his name contains 'ap' which in welsh means 'son of' which seems interesting that they might've drawn inspiration for his name there!
@@ABardsBallad Sadly it's just the Oblivion Anvil brick for brick in the exact same location, same chapel ,same manors, the same castle even though it's not supposed to be built yet. Same Lighthouse etc. etc.
I really appreciate it! I believe ive done one on it before, I just can’t remember which video it’s in 😂 it’s in a video with- few other side quests, I’d have to take a look!
actually, on xbox one, at least, you can get it in the additional content part of the menu. believe it or not, the purchase menu still works. so i bought every dlc.
Letting you pay to boost your Lockpicking Skill to 100 sounds kinda unfair (provided you have the Lockpicks or Skeleton Key to spam "Auto Attempt". Not sure what to think of this.

@ABardsBallad I'm feeling pretty blessed it wasn't the whole house lol.
Highly appreciated my man🤝
Praying for a swift recovery my man!
Look on the brightside, your Joshua Graham cosplay will be the best. All jokes aside, get well soon dude
Basic resistance to fire ring would be great for that situation.
Bacon is an extremely important member of the crew, and deserves recognition. Bacon is adorable and does their best.
Thanks bard for posting, i hope you enjoy posting so often. I would not want you to burn yourself out. I love your content man. Have a nice day/night.
As someone that grew up in NYC, being in a place called The Thieves Den and hearing a story about a pirate missing his daddy, hit some familiar notes.
😂 I’ll have to look up The Thieves Den in NYC!

Yeah I feel like Mages would be too OP and unpredictable in close quarters and out on the seas like that 👀
@@ABardsBalladNot to mention that one stray fireball from a drunk mage and your whole ship is burning

😂 I love it the ultimate payback against the Umbranox’s
Love how this DLC casually drops that there’s a whole ass pirate town in Skyrim called Dunbarrow that’s not in TES5 and is never brought up again.
I was thinking the same 😂 I was trying to think of where Dunbarrow could be but couldn’t quite put a finger on it lol
Hell ye the place where all the pirates that willingly joined hate me..at least they bring in money!
They’re a real sour group in there that’s for sure 😂 hope you enjoy this one!!
Excellent video.
Been loving all these videos going over the various home DLC;s.
I’m really glad to hear it! It’s been cool getting to experience all of them for the first time!!

Haha so close! Well today’s probably your birthday than so happy birthday!! And totally agree, they add a nice little charm to the game!

😂 I hear ya! I think Morrowind has tons of fun little secrets and cool features about it, so you’ll probably have your hands full for awhile!!

Cheers my friend! Yeah it just feels so lively and purposeful! It’s nice that everyone there has a role to play and can offer some sort of service!
Looking forward for Mehrunes' Razor 🙂
Me too! I’ve heard lots about it!! Definitely one of the more different minor expansions too!

Totally hear you! It would have been a really cool extra feature! And I read about the cutlass as well!
That would've been cool as hell
Have a happy new year A Bard's Ballad

It’s definitely a really interesting one! Captain Dugal sounds like a really sweet character! Maybe one day we’ll get answers to these questions!!

First video of the year lets goooooooo!
Let’s goooooo!!!!
Perfect timing, nothing better than Oblivion in 2025.
I hear you! I hope you enjoyed this one!
sweet the Pirate Home has been covered today on the new year
Yes you know it! Mehrunes Razor, horse armor and the spell tomes left!
Fun fact in ESO, even though its the second era. Anvil is ruled by a pirate queen named Ap Dugal too.
Ahhh very interesting! I was actually wondering about ESO and how Anvil was back in the second era!
@@ABardsBallad Sadly it's just the Oblivion Anvil brick for brick in the exact same location, same chapel ,same manors, the same castle even though it's not supposed to be built yet. Same Lighthouse etc. etc.
Battlehorn Castle was a chill place to hang with the boys but this place is all business.
That is the absolute perfect way to put it 😂
Bake wake up, new Bard’s Ballad vid is here
can you do a video on the sirens deception? love your videos thanks!
I really appreciate it! I believe ive done one on it before, I just can’t remember which video it’s in 😂 it’s in a video with- few other side quests, I’d have to take a look!
☺️👍😉 always awesome!

Fun Fact: Dahlia Rackham is named after a real-life famous pirate named John Rackham, aka Calico Jack.
Yes! A pretty cool reference if you ask me!
Babe...wake up...Bard posted another lore video
Haha! Hope you enjoyed this one!
Ur the best Bard!!!
YOU’RE the best my friend 😉🫡
Always pushing out peak content
I definitely try 🫡
My second favorite home after battlehorn i like having ai around makes things more alive
I 100% agree! It does feel more lively and it’s nice too that they serve a purpose
Hooray more bard content! Do you happen to have a discord server or something?
I hope you enjoyed this one! And not at the moment, but maybe at some point this year!!

I hear ya! Skeleton Key and Training Chest sounds incredibly OP
Down here, it's *OUR* time.

Yo ho a pirates life for me 🏴☠️
