- What's better for swimmers; the Apple Watch Ultra or the new Series 10? I'm putting them both through the test, from open water diving to long distance biking, to see which I'll end up using long term.

Beautiful scenery for the video!!
I haven't watched it yet. But ultra for sure, especially the action button, is essential when doing sets in training
You should have placed one on each wrist, the readings are off because the sensors aren't on the skin like it's supposed to be.
Thank you so so much for your content, Fares Ksebati.
I’ve been using an SE 2 for lap swimming using the native Apple workout option. Works just fine for me but after 2 years the touch screen started locking up when it got wet, so it was hard for me to end a session 😂. And with Apple I can’t “trim” a session like I could with Garmin. Anyway I just upgraded to a new 46mm Series 10. Haven’t tested it yet. An Ultra 2 would have been nice for the durability aspect but not worth the price premium in my case. I’ve gotten very used to the one day battery life and I prefer a light weight, thin profile. My SE2 is decent for open water. Not perfect but way better than my old Garmin Instinct. I think DC Rainmaker did an older open water swim comparison of watches. Outdated by now but Apple did way better than any other brand at the time.
You tracked different results on the watches because of the difference in their calibration. They will recalibrate and will read accurately over time.
Teach me how to swim please, lol.
IMO the Ultra is still the better watch for me. I am happy with the battery life and feels like a sturdier watch. I know I have it on and I like that. Not switching back to the regular watch
How is the Ultra wrist HR in the pool compared to Garmin Fenix wrist HR in the pool? I've found the Garmin wrist HR in the pool to be very inaccurate and erratic. I started using the HRM Swim chest strap, but I hate swimming with a band around my chest that tends to get loose and slip off after flip turns unless you tighten it crazy tight.
I would prefer the ultra watch
the positions of the watches on your wrist differ. should've put each watch on left and right
then which one is better for swimmers??????
If the Ultra gets dirty, or wet, can you move the screen, like underwater?
Ultra 2 is 🎉
I use the Apple Watch SE 1st Generation never tested it on water.
Garmin Swim2 for me.
need to run back the swim experiment with the positions on your wrist swapped
Dude, athletes buy a garmin or suunto. So this is no question.
I have the Ultra 2 and let me say this: '"Get a Garmin". You want a smartwatch? Get an Apple watch. You want a watch to track your sports? Get a Garmin, it is WAY better for athletes. Simple as that. (IMHO obviously)
The acronym is IMHO
@ thx i guess (not my mother’s tongue)
I have a Garmin, and respectfully the swim tracking is underwhelming. At least in the pool. It does a poor job tracking strokes unless you manually switch sets, and it is routinely off in tracking pool lengths, presumably due to pushoffs. Also, forget about tracking kick sets.
Why is garmin better for athletes?
@@User67580 my epix is terrible at pool swimming
All I can notice is his shaved arms every time he shows the watch!!!😂😂😂
For all the people crying Garmin on the comment section: the garmin watch doesn’t work either. Do you want to get serious? Get yourself a polar strap (under 100 usd) and the only accurate sensor you can use to track your athletic activity. (Optical sensors on smart watches don’t work period)
Fares, what is the best among the android ones? (for swimming)
Not Fares, but will try to answer:
-for just swimming pool I was totally satisfied with Gear Fit2 Pro from Samsung. No open water mode. But design, small size option, look, and native Samsung Health app sync looked easy and perfect for me. Heart sensor, stroke detection is good. But they did not updated this model, though design I find the best even now. No call feature. Touch screen. Battery live - around 3-4 days when training every day.
-For open water and pool I use now Garmin Forerunner 255s Music. Have a lot of functionality, more universal - even for triathlon, very good heart sensor, very accurate gps, and no touch screen, so you operate with buttons only - that what I wanted, so screen stays clean and clear. Software is also good for android - Garmin Connect App. Nice transflective screen - means you can see data as in e-book, without extra light from watches. And that is why they work around 5-7 days depending on how many trainings you have. No call feature, only indication of incoming call, no micriphone.
Looking at other people’a comments - Garmin Swim 2 is good
Garmin Fenix 8. Better in almost every way and doesn't look like a small phone strapped to your wrist
The 47 mm version costs more then 1000 euros
Garmin is over priced. Plus can you take phone calls and respond to texts via text when on a run without a phone with a garmin?
Garmin
Bro… you look better clean shaven
Does any one give two shits about that?
Where is your bike helmet? Not safe to ride without one. At least the apple watch will know if you crash so some one can retrieve you at get you to a hospital
😬😬😬 ⬅️ my face while watching you dive to 10m with swim goggles. How did you not end up with blown capillaries in your eyes?
Hey fares I am a 11 year old trying to get a 34 low in the 50 yard breaststroke can you help
So 33 metres?
Fares, make the app cheaper its a joke
The answer is: Garmin
Why?
Nah if you’re going to get a watch get a Garmin or Ryze because they are made for tracking health
What do they do that Apple doesn’t?
@@trimotionmedia5487 i dont like apple products 😇
