God, idk why but when he says, "Like I'll ruin the rhythm of New York City" in _perfect time_ with the drum it's just evokes such a strong feeling within me. It's so easy to get into the mindset that you are imperfect and worthless but the reality is that it's our own self doubt and nothing else.
colton is so cute when he pulls his sweater over his hands and his voice is so nice he's so talented
Thalia Eyles IKR THAT'S WHY I LOVE HIM SO
I LOVD HIM
Saw Colton in DEH last week and have watched this video about 100 times since.
Any news on the development of this musical?
PS. WHAT A VOICE.
I spoke with Colton's girlfriend the other day, and she said that they're trying to make it a thing, and they want it to be a thing, but they aren't sure if it is going to be a thing. Hopefully, it will be. I'm looking forward to seeing this grow!
Fingers' crossed!
Wow, almost two years later and here I am again
still thinking about this musical
“life might whisper
death likes to shout” jesus christ i feel that
Lyrics if anyone needs them
I try to live, but it isn't coming easy
'Cause I don't know how
The voice within, muffled, buried in the chaos
Like it can't scream out
I think in circles like a broken record
Every thought's identical
You can't escape, like you're restricted by the pressure
It's like you're wrapped up in tentacles
Don't look down, the view is something permanent
Life might whisper, death likes to shout
Don't break down the bridge
Before connecting to
What might be on the other side
I wanna figure me out
Everyday never noticing surroundings
Always looking down
In every way, I avoid the city skyline
Or the looming clouds
Even trees, how they stand there, strong with purpose
Telling me I need to grow
I just see the roots all twisted, strange and tangled
And that's the only me I know
Don't look down and focus on what's hidden
All your roots grow wildly deep underground
Don't cut down a tree before it lives to see
What might be on the other side
I wanna figure me out
I guess I wanna take a minute
I wanna pause a thought
And zoom in on the frame
I'm just putting nothing in it
Until the thought is gone
My frame of mind's the same
It's like I owe it to myself
To go achieve understanding
And leave with some upper hand, so
I climb back down into the mess
And I'm scared to death
This is an SOS
"Well, Craig, it sounds to me like you're depressed."
"I see."
I try to live, but it isn't very easy
When you don't know how
"We'll leave it here for now."
You can't go 'till you know
Don't look down, the view is something permanent
Life might whisper, death likes to shout
Don't break down the bridge
Before connecting to
What might be on the other side
Don't look down and focus on what's hidden
All your roots grow wildly deep underground
Don't cut down a tree before it lives to see
What might be on the other side
I wanna figure me out
I try to live, but it isn't very easy
When you don't know how
bless you, this is no easy task

THABK YIU THANK YOU BRO
Thank you!
nobody makes comments here anymore but every day i want this musical to be real. i need it
It IS real. It is just in development and musical theatre takes a LOOOONG time to develop. Covid didn't help speed up the process, but I promise we are working on it!
@@shotgunmondays YES THIS MADE MY DAY THANKKK YOU
Drew Gasparini is onto something
Lyrics (INCLUDING Dialogue at the beginning)
THERAPIST:
So, Craig, why are you here?
CRAIG:
Sometimes, I sympathize with Salmon.
THERAPIST:
Can you elaborate?
CRAIG:
Everytime I walk outside of my apartment, it's like trying to walk into an already moving stream
There's always people. Moving.. quickly in one direction and sometimes, I feel like, if I don't time it just right,
I'll mess everything up? Like, I'll ruin the rhythm of New York City.
CRAIG:
I try to live, but it isn't coming easy
'Cause I don't know how
The voice within, muffled, buried in the chaos
Like it can't scream out

I need this show to be actually staged! It’s helped me a lot with my depression/anxiety... it helps me cope with how I feel in an actually healthy way. It’s also so amazing to see someone who feels the same as I do ah
I just want to say that i'm here before this musical was popular.
Alexis Waters same, I've already told all my friends that I know about it so when it gets popular they'll be like "woah johanna was hecka early"
Aye aye me too, about two months ago 😂

I recently got into Drew Gasparini and my god I want to watch his new show!
"Life might whisper, death likes to shout"
The songs of this musical describe everything that I'm going through
How is this not already a musical?? It’s so freaking good!!!!

HES SO GOOD IM IN TEARS
i've been listening to this like every day for the past week i love it so much
This show is going to be amazing, I can't wait!!! Does anyone know approximately when it's going to open?
Ashley Lynn I know the script is almost done
This song is amazing, it really does explain what depression feels like from a personal point of view, it brings me to tears every time
I get the innocence of Evan Hansen from his character
I'm sharing this so it gets publicity and can become a thing
It's so incredibly good oh my god 😭
@@georgesbleps897 IKR!
I loved this book and this song is wonderful. Colton's voice is lovely as always and he'd be a perfect Craig.

Sheet music PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Where can I get the book for this show, lyrics, lines, scenes and all? I love this show so much and want to know more about it
THIS IS SO INCREDIBLE. I need this show.
The riff at 3:36 is mAGICAL
I die when he pulls the jumper over his hands, he’s so cuteeeeee!! Getting obsessed with these songs
i still listen to this like every day
It feels so frustrating and patronizing when people try to tell you that everything as a teenager seems a lot bigger and more important to you than it actually is, that what you're going through is trivial and childish, so it won't matter eventually. We're still human, this is still part of our life; the fact that it's happening at a certain time within our time limit doesn't make it less real. This musical, and this song in particular, remind me that there are people who understand that. So thank you, Drew Gasparini.
i keep thinking,, he says "FIGURE MEOW"
NOW I CANT STOP HEARING IT
I CAN'T UNHEAR IT NOW
BRO SAME
We neeeeeed a studio recording of these songs please please PLEASE
I'm sorry but why did I only JUST discover this? And why is Colton literally Craig?
i added this to my "favorite songs of march" playlist when it first came out and coming back to listen to it again is just so nice its bringing back a lot of memories, its crazy how music can do that to you
This is so good he's sO GOOD
Anyone have the Chords?? And AHHHH make this a show please!!!!
this is literally a year late lmao but im trying to figure them out atm...if you found em (or still want em) lemme know!

3:38 is all I need
