I remember vividly once when he and Kathie Lee were taking questions from letters that had been sent to the show and one viewer asked about Tony Pigg and seeing him. Regis Philbin said that he "didn't want to go there" and went to another letter. I would guess Tony Pigg cherished his anonymity.

Tony Pigg was the staff announcer for most of the Regis/Kathie Lee days-he probably hadn't started yet
No he was there already way back to the Morning Show days, he must have been off on this day.
Tony Pigg was the announcer from 1983 until he left in 2019. That's ABC staff announcer Bill Rice filling in for Tony on this episode.
