In Malaysia we call it belimbing buluh.. A lot of dishes using it such as, sambal, fish curry with coconut milk, and most famous is black sambal where we boiled it without water for hours till it turns black and then cook it with chilies and anchovies which could last for months without putting in into fridge

Great bilimbi,! We also pronounce it the same way of the sour fruit. Been a long time eaten the fresh bilimbis. Pickles of it is very nice . I mum
made it for me 10 years ago and send it with a friend. I still got half jar of it of my mum hand made pickles and the taste still great..,,,,, my mum
