During the Def Jam years some artists thought he was scummy but on the whole Rick Rubin has been really important to great music. And he was super Dope in Krush Groove.

Yup that’s exactly how I used to memorize information. I’d sometimes rewrite my notes 2-3 times just so it really sank in. And when the tests came I was like on autopilot. I didn’t discover this way of retaining information though until I was a junior. I was a totally different student after that.
