He's not equal in strength to perfect cell. He's stated to be inferior to Gohan in the manga, the same Gohan who was weaker in his adult-teen stage than his pre-teen stage. 59:18 in actuality yes! In the og show the narrator didn't return until vegeta's sacrifice! The way TFS interprets it is perfect because that's basically what he said😂
22:15 I think this reaction from Goku isn't because he wanted to see Vegeta get a powerup, but him laughing to himself about how they didn't see Vegeta getting controlled coming when they were just talking about having evil in your heart. Fun fact: Despite what the anime says, Fat Buu is only weaker than kid(the original) Buu, every form of Super Buu is stronger than Kid Buu. Also, Goku SSJ3 is way weaker than every other character that fights on this Saga besides Vegeta and maybe fat Buu
The main reason Kid Buu gave them so much trouble is the fact that he's basically a giggling ball of chaos and insanity; he's weaker than Evil/Super Buu, but he's wildly unpredictable and it makes him a very bad matchup for fighters that are used to opponents that aren't _completely unhinged._
@@Groundlord especially since he just blew up earth immediately, I believe the reason for the Kai planet fight is because it’s not possible to destroy because of divine shit or something.
@@chazo1367he could have blown up Kai's planet but it's far away from other planets he could blow up and Buu was distracted and kept entertained by the fighters

To answer you're question about Super it all does take place in the ten-year time skip between the defeat of Buu and the end of Z itself with Goku meeting Uub. Well, technically it all happens just five years before the end of Z, since the first arc of Super Battle of Gods actually takes place five years after the defeat of Buu, but five years before Goku meets Uub, we know this for a fact, because during this arc Videl is pregnant with Pan and Pan is 4 years old at the end of Z when Goku meets Uub. But the exact timeline is a little tricky at times because of just how much has happened in Super in less the five years, including gaps between arcs of at least a couple weeks maybe even a few months at times, so it can seem kind of ridiculous how much has happened in so little time. The first five arcs(Battle of Gods arc, Ressurection F arc, Universe 6 vs Universe 7 arc, the Goku Black aka the Zamasu arc, and the Tournament of Power arc) happen over the course of two years, we know this because of both Pan and Bulma and Vegeta's daughter Bra or Bulla, depending on your dub, Bulla is 3 years old at the end of Z when Goku meets Uub, Pan is born by the time of Resurrection F, and Bulla is born during the Tournament of Power, thus 2 years have passed, leaving us with just three before we get to the end of Z. Now after the Tournament of Power we get the Broly Movie, the Moro arc, the Granola arc, and currently were in the Super Heroes arc, yes seriously on that last one. Now while there isn't an actual timeline for these three arcs, given how much happens, as well as the fact that there's usually at least a few weeks between each arc in-universe, as well as the fact that both the Mmoro and the Granola arcs have minor time skips during their stories(two months in Moro before Moro and his crew invade Earth to give Goku, Vegeta, and the other heroes time to train for the final battle, and at least a couple of weeks in Granola to give the Heeters time to come up with a plan to pit Goku and Vegeta against Granola so all parties will take each other out and allow the Heeters evil scheme to go off without a hitch), I think it's safe to assume that by the time of the current arc the Super Heroes arc were only a year and a half or just a year away from the end of Z, especially since Piccolo is training Pan during this arc and she has to be at least 2 and a half to 3 years old to be training now. And the funniest thing about this whole timeline is that Goten and Trunks still look the exact same way they did in the Buu arc by the end of the Moro arc, they still look like little kids. Now again, after the Tournament of Power the exact passage of time is tough to pin down, but given everything it's safe to assume that by the end of the Moro arc it's been seven and a half to eight years since the defeat of Buu and Goten and Trunks haven't aged at all since then. Then we don't see them at all during the Granola arc because that arc mostly takes place off of Earth, but when we return to Earth at the start of the Super Heroes arc we see that Goten and Trunks suddenly hit a growth spurt and now look exactly like they do at the end of Z when Goku meets Uub, it took these two 8 years or more to finally age, and it took 8 years or more for Goten to finally stop looking exactly like Goku, that is insane.
Can't believe you didn't mention that Goku objected to them resorting to it because it wouldn't work... And Vegeta's response is basically, "if it doesn't, then maybe death by Buu is exactly what everyone deserves."
I say yes in covering TotallyNotMark's Reviews on Dragon Ball Z on the channel. 👍 My suggestion is that if you watch DBZ, just watch the Kai version where it covers the story, but cuts most of the filler out. 👍 Ah yes, Videl's mother (Miguel) all we know about her is that she's a singer, and she passed away. I believe it was only speculation that she passed away of some kind of disease. 🤔 Elder Kai was talking about Beerus because it was retcon in DBS that Beerus sealed him in the Z-Sword. Finally, DBS was after Buu Saga before End of Z (When Goku was taking about "not seen Bulma in 10 years".).
So, on the off chance you see this comment let me clear up something. The clip at 54:20 and the next one are from the end of Z, which if i remember correctly happens 10 years after buu is defeated. Dragon ball super takes place in those 10 years before the end of z, which is why they made refrences to super because in the timeline, all the super stuff happend already. TlDr: Dragon ball super happend after buu was defeated but before dragon ball z ends in a timeline, which is why ubb is never heard of and pan is a baby in super.
50:53 honeslty, I think that is a dub for Gohan to not bend to peer pressure and pursue his own dream. Also makes more sense than having Gohan be just as strong as Goku and Vegeta, while these two spend every single living hour of their lives training with the strongest beings in the multiverse.
Trunks: Father, just call him Goku ! Best Body: And disrespect MY Heritage ?! I will address him with the name given to him by the glorious Saiyan race !
Lord Popo: "Hi." ◉‿◉ Videl: "Oh my God, are you allowed!?" Oh you sweet, summer child. No one dares to assume they "allow" Popo, he allows us cause we amuse him. And copious amounts of pot and drugs, the only things keeping us from total assimilation. 😆😅😰
He's definitely one of the characters DBZ did really well. Based on how he was introduced, and what he did afterward (building his entire rep on beating cell), he should be the most unlikable character. But then he goes on as one of the best people ever. 😁
I find him really likable just because he's basically the closest thing to a "normal" person in the regular cast. Realizing he's surrounded by magic transforming alien superheroes and universe destroying villains, thinking he must be dreaming is actually one of the most sane first reactions one can have.
Finally! A reactor who nerds out about the voice acting just like I do!! There are so many lines that seem mundane but the delivery in my eyes are just perfect
You either like potato salad or you've only had store bought/cafeteria potato salad. Make some fresh mayo with nice mustard, nice fingerling potatoes cut up, green onion, celery seed, garlic and onion powder, some sweet onion pieces for crunch and if you want a bonus, fry up half a pack of bacon, crumble it up and after you drain the potatoes and they're dried toss them in the pan you cooked the bacon in and brown them lightly in the fat. Then let it cool before mixing all the ingredients. best potato salad ever.
To this day, my knowledge of the Buu Saga comes entirely from the handful of episodes that were syndicated as part of Saturday morning cartoons(right up to the episode evil Buu emerges), and the major fights, which I looked up on YT.
Y'know what would be funny? If TFS Mr. Popo was the God of Destruction in the DBZ Abridged universe before Beerus and he just retired because he got bored of the gig. That, or he's somehow related to the Omni-King.
I like to think this is how you turn Goku on by talking about power levels, that or food. Makes me wonder what route Chichi used with Goku, probably food.
actually they did go over videls mother in canon didnt say specific reason but her mother passed away and then came one of the reasons that she disliked her father. she elluded to him going around with a bunch of women (gold-diggers) and treating the deceased wife as though she didnt mean much to him because he move on rather soon
Towa is Dabura's sisters. She is technically semi-canon. As she was an original character in Dragon Ball Heroes and the main the antagonist of Xenoverse 1 and 2 along with her creation Mira. Her English Dub actress is the same ad Nico Robin (One Piece) and Olivia Myra Armstrong (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood).
The M for majin is very specific. Not many languages besides the ones resembling the roots of Latin have that letter in their alphabet. Toriyama just thought the letter M fit the first letter of the word "Majin" and, not only that but, also thought it was symmetrically aesthetic enough to put onto his designs.
what I'm certain super took inspiration from abridged is when vegeta goes in the time chamber again before the tournament of power popo says "wait.. if you break the time chamber again..." (popo eyes zoomed in) "you're banned for life"
I can't keep this quiet any longer... So, in Japanese, they say "Satan" like "Sat Tan", which is how Satan is pronounced in its original language of Hebrew, but it's most commonly pronounced "Sayten" in modern english, Satan was a generic noun meaning "accuser" or "adversary", and was derived from a verb meaning primarily "to obstruct, oppose".
I mean, you're not wrong. All of that is, indeed, correct. *BUT...* and that's a big but, I cannot lie, that's kind of missing the point of the character. He's a professional _stage_ fighter and "Mr. Satan" is like a _stage name_ for him. He was, in essence, a Professional Wrestler going up against *actual* Super-powered Fighters and not realizing it wasn't just a staged fighting show like he's used to. And he *specifically* named himself Mr Satan as an allusion to the concept of The Devil in Christianity. It's no different than calling himself "The Undertaker" or "Devilman". It means nothing more or less _to him or his fans_ than just a cool, edgy name for an anti-hero wrestler. And Sa-Ta-N is just how it would be pronounced using _Japanese_ syllables. It has nothing to do with how it was originally pronounced in Hebrew, as they borrow words from *plenty* of words from other languages and will mangle them however they need to in order to fit them to their syllabary; original pronunciation be damned.
I have an interest in the writing process behind the entertainment I enjoy, so I gotta say, the TeamFourStar guys have been making a really fun reaction series to their own DBZA episodes, they give a fun look behind the curtain at how they wrote, cast, recorded and edited the series, the choices they made and the reasons behind them, really good watch.
Reason why the Genkidama was able to kill Buu: The Genkidama is Life Energie, that is more effective the more evil the opponent. All opponents before had good inside them, while Kid Buu is pure evil. All good was cast out of him, when Fat Buu left his body.
53:33 That Was A Really Good TFS Mr PoPo Impression I Clicked Subscribed Just Because Of That. P.s I’ve Been Watching Your Channel For A Super Long Time I Just Never Subscribed Or Commented
Yeah, Super technically happened between the Buu Saga, and before End of Z, the original finale episodes of DBZ. And of course, before GT that happens Post-End of Z XD
Iirc, Super movie starts about 6 months to 1 year after Buu, and continues from there. The End of Z is technically no longer canon because if the recent movies are canon continuations of the anime, even as filler, then Pan is about 2 years older now than when End of Z's tournament took place because of a timeskip, I think(?), that results in the current Manga arc. That being said, as an anime only, I am hyped about this next arc for the anime. Keep hearing about this Moro guy and I NEED to see what he's all about.
theres a rumor that dbs popo was inspired by the dbza one, sionce in dbs vegeta detroyed the time chamber and popo threatened to ban him if he did it again
18 being human and able to have kids is not a continuity error because "Android" is a dubism, in Japanese they are "Artificial Humans" which was a blanket term for cyborgs like 18 and 17, biomechanical beings like Cell, and full ass robots like 16 and 19.
Fat Buu is what Kid Buu became when he absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai; GSK's good nature and fat body turned Kid Buu from an omnicidal maniac into a more or less "innocent" person (though he wouldn't learn right from wrong until Mr. Satan stepped in during DBZ). Toward the end of the Buu Saga, the main cast managed to extract Fat Buu from Super Buu, which caused Super Buu to revert to Kid Buu and is the reason why Fat Buu was able to join in the fight.
Would love if it turns out that Vegeta hearing voices turns out to be Goku trying to his best buddies over the years and only his best buddy, ignoring Gohan, Chi-Chi etc.

The “It Worked In The Movies” title for that bit is a reference to the fact that, up until that moment in the Buu Saga, the Spirit Bomb has only ever worked in the movies. - World’s Strongest - Tree of Might - Lord Slug - Super Android 13 The only other time outside of the Buu Saga that the Spirit Bomb would work afterwards is in GT’s Shadow Dragons Saga.
for the final fight, since it seems you don't remember. as i recall, Super Buu managed to absorb Vegeto. before being absorbed, Vegeto put up a barrier to prevent the total absorption. after dropping the barrier, they split apart and began exploring inside Buu's body. eventually they found everyone that was absorbed, including good Buu. so Goku and Vegeta started freeing everyone, which Super Buu took notice of. before freeing good Buu, he screamed "don't do it, i won't be me anymore!" which is how he became Kid Buu. fast forward to the Supreme Kai's planet, and i guess good Buu woke up and started fighting Kid Buu while a plan was being made
I will share this cursed knowledge, Napa died because he was masturbating and he was into asphyxiation, that's what the "how's it hanging" part meant... Concerning the narrator joke, it's because TFS haven't used the narrator since the end of the Freeza saga.
and probably just because the narrator pops up then in the actual show too
So fun fact about Dial M for Vegeta. In a commentary on their Four Star Bento podcast chanel, like Episodes 48 or 49 or around there. Lani mentioned the whole joke about how Vegeta knows he's being played and that the cut wouldve happened the same
And what's even better is back when they played Tenkaichi 3 Lani talked about how the whole Majin Vegeta fight is just Vegeta having a mid-life crisis and that basically is how they played it here.
I'm so happy they managed to sneak in the "Kio-what?!" gag in, granted in a non-traditional way. xD It's my favorite gag next to Vegeta's 'mine' gag. Lmao
Whis: "Ultra Instinct, to let your body react without thinking. It would be difficult for Vegeta, but Goku..."
Goku: "Daddy Shark doo doo~"
Frieza: 😈Don’t mind me but seriously, 👿give me some ideas.
Buu: 😈Oh Buu has played this game.”. Chills.
Also Vegeat should’ve shouted “TEAM THREE STAR” as he died.
I think that the following line also belongs along these two;
Cell [just finished singing Mr. Sandman]: "Hello... Friend."
The ending with Majin Vegeta could not have ended any better.
@@TheJeSTeR7530 More like "Trunks...you couldn't fathom the amount of dead men behind me."
Nah. "Vegeta, yes." was an excellent line. It shows Geet's character growth as he is no longer doing it for himself as he had done prior.
@@R_Caine Which is really funny because Which is really funny, because the "Vegeta Yes" gag only comes up when he's fighting for someone else.
21:30 I actually had that same mind set too Airier, you're not alone on that.
42:28 You forgot to edit it out and you know it.
😶😨😅
@@Airier*distant Zarbon moan*
42:28 We actually went "Okay, Airier eats ass confirmed." THEN got to see him realizes his mistake. It had to stay!!
Like, Shin wouldn't have known, hence his line. But now that the attention has been brought to Goku, he's laughing to himself a little about how obvious this should've been.
I don't think that's the joke.
I always took it as an uncomfortable ‘oh boy oh shit’ kinda laugh because evil in Vegeta’s heart getting unleashed? Ooohhh dear
I thought the same. Goku laughing at “Oh right! Vegeta is Vegeta. Shoulda seen that coming.”
Also keep in mind that only Gohan could keep up fully to Super Buu. Goku and Vegeta wouldn't be about to stand a chance (Goku maybe in SSJ3 but that has a time limit) and they couldn't fuse to Vegito anymore.
Is SSJ3 Goku weaker than Gotenks?
Fun Fact: about the spirit bomb bit it was actually Vegeta's idea not Goku's in canon.
Can't believe you didn't mention that Goku objected to them resorting to it because it wouldn't work... And Vegeta's response is basically, "if it doesn't, then maybe death by Buu is exactly what everyone deserves."
40:00 Apparently He pissed Beerus off so he turned him into a sword
Sharpner is just Kaiser being himself but cranked up to 11
I love how Sharpner keeps emphasizing *THE* Great Saiyaman.
Vegeta literally gave Trunks a 10sec hug.
And I'm calling the Final Explosion the Final Vegeta Yes.
Dende mentions noticing him once, but it's just a nod to the Z epilogue since he's still too young to be particularly relevant
50:53 honeslty, I think that is a dub for Gohan to not bend to peer pressure and pursue his own dream. Also makes more sense than having Gohan be just as strong as Goku and Vegeta, while these two spend every single living hour of their lives training with the strongest beings in the multiverse.
Fun Fact: KameKameha from Goten is actually Canon not just a joke here
Found as an Easter Egg in one of the games too
DBZ Kakarot
Trunks: Father, just call him Goku !
Best Body: And disrespect MY Heritage ?! I will address him with the name given to him by the glorious Saiyan race !
Lord Popo: "Hi." ◉‿◉
Videl: "Oh my God, are you allowed!?"
Oh you sweet, summer child. No one dares to assume they "allow" Popo, he allows us cause we amuse him. And copious amounts of pot and drugs, the only things keeping us from total assimilation. 😆😅😰
Mr Satan is, no joke, my favorite DBZ character, it’s like putting the Rock with legendary heroes and he’s still trying when out of his depth
Theoretically... He'd be the anti-Zeno? Popo _is_ the Darkness to Zeno's "light" as god status. Like Amara in Supernatural.
We heard you liked gold plating, so we got gold plating for your gold plating.
There IS a scene in super where mr popo threatens to ban vegeta from the time chamber. Man changed his attitude REAL quick.
Also that shirt.. the moment you realize "Orange Piccollo "

Did you never catch the Bibbity Bobbity (MAJIN) Buu joke before now?
"We are a fighter born of the potara. A combination of Vegeta and Go... Vegeta and Gooookarot..."
I love that I've seen this before and never heard it as hump, but actually did in this video just before you questioned it.
I like to think this is how you turn Goku on by talking about power levels, that or food. Makes me wonder what route Chichi used with Goku, probably food.
Given that he one shot her, I assume she had to pivot to food
@@CarbonMagemy God, you mean to tell me that orange hillbilly still isn't done beating his wife?!

didnt say specific reason but her mother passed away and then came one of the reasons that she disliked her father.
she elluded to him going around with a bunch of women (gold-diggers) and treating the deceased wife as though she didnt mean much to him because he move on rather soon
You're forgetting the dragon ball online game, she debuted there before heroes and xenoverse
Vegeta Has a lot of EGO Issues Yeah.
ULTRA EGO Issues.
Even though it’s in shorts, I’m so happy DBZA is back!
Reason why the Genkidama was able to kill Buu:
The Genkidama is Life Energie, that is more effective the more evil the opponent. All opponents before had good inside them, while Kid Buu is pure evil. All good was cast out of him, when Fat Buu left his body.
😯👍
Then shouldn’t it have utterly *NUKED* Frieza? Dude ain’t good by any stretch of the imagination.
@@dinodude8899 But he still has the potential for Good inside him however small it might be. While Kidd Buu was pure distilled evil.
It’s too bad it wasn’t planned this way and there are massive plot holes because it could chronologically make sense 😩
theres a rumor that dbs popo was inspired by the dbza one, sionce in dbs vegeta detroyed the time chamber and popo threatened to ban him if he did it again
I love how Buu enjoyed being a punching bag cause you hear a small "Whoohoo"
Outside of the movies, yes this is the first time the spirit bomb ACTUALLY worked

Vegeta: And I have nothing to prove.
That has the same energy as:
Char: I've never betrayed anyone in my life.
He has nothing to prove to the human race: a backwater bunch of low level weaklings whose only redeeming feature, in Vegeta's eyes, are the very few outliers that defend the planet and their similarity in appearance to Saiyans which likely scares the shit out of most races so they avoid Earth religiously.
31:00 The game you are thinking off is the now defunct MMO Dragon Ball Online. Some of the characters from that game were brought back for games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Heroes.
Wait, so they were young teens when they started? Thats some talent
Even crazier because a lot of them had their own series before TFS.
They’ve come so far. Easily professional level VAs now
Eh not young teens IIRC they all started around college age (Lani started the Youngest while he was still a senior in Highschool but Kaiser and Taka both started in their 20's)
I got to thinking about the part with Mr. Popo and the Spirit Bomb and then I remembered this part all the way back from Season 1:
MR. POPO: Yep, this carpet gets about ten thousand miles to the soul.
BULMA: What?
MR. POPO: The gallon.
Now I don't think they meant to make that correlation but JUST IMAGINE
There was just so much there to unpack, but Sharpner's casual backhandedness SENT me. Reminded me of the official dub where he was just some jock douchebag.
The “It Worked In The Movies” title for that bit is a reference to the fact that, up until that moment in the Buu Saga, the Spirit Bomb has only ever worked in the movies.
- World’s Strongest
- Tree of Might
- Lord Slug
- Super Android 13
The only other time outside of the Buu Saga that the Spirit Bomb would work afterwards is in GT’s Shadow Dragons Saga.
The answer to your question "Why he put up that ad for the shirt" is so you could "DODGE!!!" the ad...😂
The joke with Goten going to school was that Goku wasn't going to come back, so Chizchi was gonna keep him home forever
“Who voices Sharpner?” he asks 😂
for the final fight, since it seems you don't remember. as i recall, Super Buu managed to absorb Vegeto. before being absorbed, Vegeto put up a barrier to prevent the total absorption. after dropping the barrier, they split apart and began exploring inside Buu's body. eventually they found everyone that was absorbed, including good Buu. so Goku and Vegeta started freeing everyone, which Super Buu took notice of. before freeing good Buu, he screamed "don't do it, i won't be me anymore!" which is how he became Kid Buu. fast forward to the Supreme Kai's planet, and i guess good Buu woke up and started fighting Kid Buu while a plan was being made
49:39 that laugh is infectious and will be on repeat in my mind for months
They did add buu… I’m just going to back away slowly 😂
Trunks, that "smell" is ozone and hairspray.
Nappa's stroke in the trailer joke went over your head!!!
The creators outright admitted that they were waiting YEARS for the chance to use that “Kaka-Tot” line for Goten. They REALLY wanted it to hit.
I will share this cursed knowledge, Napa died because he was masturbating and he was into asphyxiation, that's what the "how's it hanging" part meant... The notch in the belt was that it got too tight and locked. You got to think with Napa being a strong Warrior, that belt must have been strong too.
Hears “I have nothing to prove”
“Who are you and what have you done with Vegeta?”
Me On 15:29:
VIDEL THIS IS THE VERY DIRTY THINKING MOMENT.)
The episode where Bee (The dog) get's shot came out almost 20 years (japanese release date) before John Wick, so yeah it predates it by a bit
So glad they did the Buu arc, sure, it’s these shorts but they did the Buu arc. They had to change some of the voices as at least two people are now well known VAs now, Justin Briner, did Cloud in FFVII Machinabridged and was going to do teen Gohan and Amber Connors who did 18 did Takami in Brave Witches and is currently the Hydro Archon Focalors in Genshin
They aren’t allowed to do DBZA work now because they’re professional VAs? Or because they’re busy with their VA work?
@@SimsinWonderland I’m guessing the latter. However, if they were to go back to help TFS, they would have to use a different name like what Sabat did
@@lonewolfjedi493osswfanhearing about how cool Sabat is with TFS makes me love him more tbh.
Wait, Chichi let Gonten watch TV!
He named the villains after an English Disney song ... so the English 'M' probably isn't that odd.
Remember that Vegita said he woul;d become a Super _Dee_ Duper Saiyan, then never did, in cannon.
I believe the narrator hadn't been around for awhile, and they wanted to make sure that people understood that Vegeta was gone..lol, so they brought him back for the epic speech he does.

Bibidy's magic doesn't give power, it brings out the max potential of the host.
like forcing a state of 'kai-o ken' where it maximixes the output at the risk of the host's health.
Ya know, if I ever make something that gets famous and TFS makes an abridged with the same passion as this... I'd be good.
To answer your question about the narrator, he hasn't been in the show since season 2.
And thus Kaiserneko declared, "I'm going to make Sharpener the Sassiest Shithead."
Putting ads at the beginning of the video is far better than in the middle. Also my gosh Krillin and 18 are so great - one of if not the healthiest relationship
Also I’m so glad you gave love to Fat Buu’s VA - it’s so freaking good! Spot on
Spirit Bomb= Effectiveness usually saved for movies.
Here's something to think about Airier, Perfect Cell having Goku's DNA could have also used both the Spirit Bomb and KAIOKEN. And i loved that Rising Fist brought to attention in that animatic he made.
I love that the old school Budokai games gave Cell a spirit bomb as his finisher
its kinda rich for prince vegeta, son of king vegeta, from planet vegeta to make fun of anyone elses hereditary naming conventions
Yeah, the narrator hadn't been around for a while in DBZ, but when Vegeta sacrificed himself they brought him back to tell the audience that Vegeta did indeed die.
It was THAT significant of a scene.
