CREATOR’S NOTE: These recordings contain sound effects and music because that’s what I personally like to listen to, and what I enjoy making. If it’s not your personal cup of tea, consider yourself lucky to be on a website that offers hundreds (if not thousands) of other videos that will be more to your taste. If I read too fast did you know you can actually slow the playback down on RUclips? If I read too slow did you know you can actually speed me up? If you can’t read the subtitles against the thumbnail, did you know you can change them in RUclips by making them larger or putting a different colour behind them? In fact, they’ve thought of everything. I do accents and voices to help you differentiate between the characters. I like to add a bit of drama. I do it in the hope of providing a good listening experience, not because I’m “full of myself”. The stories I read are often quite old. Language changes, so do ideas. Try and see the humanity in them rather than mining them for perceived offences. That way unhappiness lies. Sometimes a dog dies (not in this story!) but no real dogs have ever been harmed in the creation of this podcast…to my knowledge.
