Once you're ready to get into string tricks like this, we highly recommend the Sage yoyo used in this video: yoyotricks.com/shop/sage-yoyo-starter-pack/
Ok just curious, why does it feel like my string is super short. I baught the white sage, and it's great, but I can't do tricks like rock the baby cause the string is super short. Also I'm 12, so dont accpect me to be 7 ft tall lol
I love the tips. I have used tutorials in the past, but some of your tips are helping me get past a few spots I have struggled with for years. It is motivating me to pick it up again and practice after about an 8 year hiatus. Thank you.

So I've recently gotten the first 50 yoyo tricks pack and I've got to say the first 50 tricks program is amazing and this trick is tricky but I rewatched this video a few times and now I'm finally starting to get this trick to work so thank you guys for the hard work you do trying to teach new players everything about yoyoing
I accidentally purchased an unresponsive yoyo, and have been learning over the last few days how to play with it, and it's so confusing but also fun, so I'm determined to become really good at it!
I am an absolute beginner with the yoyo but I pulled it off today with my unresponsive and responsive yoyo. Feels so satisfying. Now to master it and then move on to other tricks. The video's are very helpfull so thanks allot.
Funny story i'm 28 and 8 years ago I wanted to quit smoking cigarettes so I substitute cigarettes by yoyoing everytime i felt like smoking I'd go outside and throw now I've been throwing since 2011 and man as cheesy as it sounds yoyoing saved my life.
if you are watching the playlist of their easy to difficult 1a tricks, all of the tricks are using the breakaway, they say it at the beginning of the playlist :)
I notice you say not to move your finger from that spot but then you do kind of slide ur finger down the string a little bit before it’s made the full 180 degree rotation. You almost help to guide it. My accuracy went up by a lot after I noticed this and started doing it myself. I started to land it almost every time.
How long does it take to get this down usually? I am using the whip and I can't seem to even get it to land on the string. When I do it gets really tilted and falls off or it binds back up and shoot back to my hand. I also have a Merlin yoyo King and a Boss unresponsive yoyo on the way.
You should expect to work on this trick for a couple weeks before you have it perfect. Getting a good breakaway is crucial. I believe we address a number of your problems within the video itself, like getting it on the string, the tilting and falling off. As far as the yoyo responding when it lands on the string, you will have less problems with that when you use the other yoyos. The most important things are to bring your hands together when it lands on the string.
Great video, very good explanation! However, I ran into a problem. Whenever my breakaway is crooked and I try to fix it (doing what you showed in the video) while I perform all of the actions my yoyo just turns and starts spinning horizontally, twisting the string. Is there any way to fix or prevent that? Thank you
I got my first yoyo fizz yesterday. And I lubed the bearing with thin lube very little as u told in your video of how to use thin lube. Is it good to use thin lube on fizz or not? Cause my spin time with the fizz is not good cause it sleeps maximum of 30 seconds when I throw it. Although if I drop it it does spin for 5 seconds. Need your advice yoyotricks
Bro thanks to you I've ben practicing with a butterfly xt and now that i got a crystal k2 i want to try one of your guys yo-yos because how nice their form factor looks in these tutorials.
What do you do if your yo-yo seems too responsive ? I’m using the fizz and I have seen you do this trick with that yo-yo before , but eveytime I land on the string it either stops sleeping or binds on the string and wants to return to my hand
Thanks for the reply about the yomega raiders. In your experience, how long do the oracle yoyos sleep in tricks like around the world? Also, since the oracle yoyos use a silicone response pad, after the response pads wear out, is it possible to silicone the oracles using flowable silicone or red rtv silicone? In your opinion, what were some of the factors that made the oracles more appealing to you than the unleashed or the loop 1080s? Thank You
The Oracles sleep a very long time because the response pads are aggressive enough that they do not need as much lube to stay as responsive as they should. The response pads cannot be siliconed because they sit above flush. I used the Unleashed for a while, but I could never get my loops to work right. The shape on those were a little funny, I spend about a year using them, but never got used to it. The 1080s are just too fussy for me. They take too much maintenance to keep them working optimally - at least compared to the Oracles which are pretty hassle free once you get them setup.
first week of having a yoyo and i can do picture tricks well but i just cant do this. a lot of the times itll catch the string and try to wrap back up. any tips other then the ones in the video? having a lot of difficulty even if these guys in comments say its easy @yotricks
I'm having some trouble with the last step of actually landing this, but I don't think there was any explanation of it. I can flip the yoyo back off of the trapeze and then just pull it up regularly but I'd like to be able to launch it straight up and have it return like you do in the video. Having some trouble figuring out the hand movement to do this though.
The easiest way is to position the yoyo in the middle of the string, and then pull your apart up evenly. At the point the yoyo passes above your hands you need to start bringing your hands together. Once you get this you can start to experiment with the yoyo positioned at different places in the string. This all assumes you have a responsive yoyo that will come back when you pop it into the air, of course.
2:42 Some may see this as a mistake, I see it as an opportunity to build a new trick off of. I'm getting tons of enjoyment out of this hobby not only from learning tricks the right way, but also just experimenting and having fun based on the technical knowledge I have, and how the yoyo behaves with the string etc.
have you ever thought of making a second channel for the personality behind yotricks? like conner adam ect.. i think it would be intresting and entertaining .. it would kinda be just place to get to know whos teaching you the tricks and stuff or anything along those lines?
Any tips on how to actually aim to get the breakaway on the trapezee? When I throw it, I can’t do the corrections in the video because the string completely wraps around my finger, and when I do get it on the trapeze it’s mostly when it wrapped my finger.
Thanks so much for all of these tutorials. Would you be willing to do a similar video for the front mount? It has given me a lot of trouble. Thanks again.
It is not a priority at this point. We already have our brain-scrambler video where we teach the front mount, and all the tips we give in here will help you solve any further problems you may have.
lol, where were you 20 yrs ago when I was learning my breakaway? Yohans didn't explain it as good as you. Learning from Yohans took me 1 month to hit my perfect breakaway. 😂.
I ended up landing this trick, but I didn’t use the breakaway. I just threw it down as hard as possible without dinging it, and just moved so the yo-yo was perpendicular to me, and swung it up from there. Whenever I tried the breakaway throw, the yo-yo bounced, and fell right back down, I’ll get it soon
Occasionally, my left index finger grinds against the string when I perform the trick and it hurts. Is there a way I can get past this, and is this a problem for everyone?
Definitely the Sage. The Whip is not as wide, and it does not sleep as long as the Sage. yoyotricks.com/shop/yoyo-store/yoyo-brands/yotricks/the-sage-yoyo-starter-pack/

I just bought my frist yo-yo two days ago,but though your video I been enjoyed playing Yo-Yo a lot but I still can not do the man on a flying Trapez well would you tell me about it more plz ,thank you a lot🙏
@@yotricks It can bounce back easily,so I guess it isn’t the type of force you to do the bind one…? But I bug this one in the toy store around my house,So I guess I will just order a yo-yo on your network..?
I wouldn't recommend it, axel yoyos don't sleep for very long and they're overall just worse. I 100% recommend a ball bearing yoyo, and the sage is actually pretty good, and there is also the Yoyo king Merlin. Hope I helped!
Hey guys. I was wondering. I have a couple Sages and they all suffer from short spin times. I was thinking of getting a spacer to see if that would help. What say you? I've got some other Throws so, it's not like I'm chomping at the bit about it. I am just curious.
Unresponsive, I bought both at different times and they both average about the same amount of spin time. I'm using the flatbearing that comes in the pro pack, cleaned and lubed.
Well maybe I swapped it for another. I keep extra bearings in the same Lil baggie so I may have mixed it up. Thxx, I'll buy some CTX's next week anyway. You guys have a good weekend.
I would not recommend getting CTX bearings. They come pre-lubed which kills spin times, so if you want them to work well you will need to immediately clean them (which I find to be an unnecessary pain.)
I'm having a really hard time with these kinds of tricks. I am an trying to learn the elevator and heard that there was advice about the yoyo rubbing on the string here. I am still having trouble. How can I fix this? Edit: I figured it out. You just need to try to get the string right in the middle of the yoyo.
Pretty much any yoyo that plays unresponsive will sleep for more than 2 minutes. After that, it doesn't really help in learning tricks, so we no longer keep track. However, if you are looking for a yoyo that sleeps longer than most, your best bet is to find a heavier yoyo.
Hey Thanks my friend is being to learn yo-yoing and do more he is happy with these tricks he wants more of these tricks! and thanks yotricks please do more for my friend!
hey, wanted to ask you something, I have yoyo factory yoyo yoOne (yeah, that's a lot of yoyos :D ) and its sleeps like 15-20 seconds, is that because I don't give that much power or that yoyo should sleep that much?
The only "specific type" that would be needed (and this isn't even specific at all) is a butterfly shape (or flared gap, some call it) yoyo with a ball bearing transaxle. In other words, a pretty standard 1a yoyo.
6:42 : Guys, is there a video to learn that bind? It looks simple but it goes really fast and i can't well understand what happens. I love your channel btw!

Pretty much any yoyo that plays unresponsive will sleep for more than 2 minutes. After that, it doesn't really help in learning tricks, so we no longer keep track. However, if you are looking for a yoyo that sleeps longer than most, your best bet is to find a heavier yoyo.
I think that the sage is the best yoyo for you

Is it possible do this trick with a fixed axle wooden yoyo?
Definitely.

Cool.
YoyomasterGamerTV wait you live in Arizona? thats where yoyofactory is
ArkStealth yea i live near it not that far from me it's like 5 miles away form me!
hey, wanted to ask you something, I have yoyo factory yoyo yoOne (yeah, that's a lot of yoyos :D ) and its sleeps like 15-20 seconds, is that because I don't give that much power or that yoyo should sleep that much?
That is a pretty normal sleep time for the ONE.
Okay thanks :)
I can’t seem to do this trick with the fizz, is it because the teeth are interfering?
ok thats fine im starting to understand it any ways and was just wondering. thxs
Having a specific type of yo-yo must help?
Colaris only one of the ones which keep spinning on the bottom
Colaris besides it not being a 4A yoyo (yoyo not connected to string) it doesn't mater, but some are designed for it and make it easier then others
The only "specific type" that would be needed (and this isn't even specific at all) is a butterfly shape (or flared gap, some call it) yoyo with a ball bearing transaxle. In other words, a pretty standard 1a yoyo.
Is it bad that my first sleeping yo-yo is unresponsive? XD I learned a bind and I’m having fun!
Once you learned the bind it is not necessary to have a responsive yoyo, unless you are interested in learning looping tricks.
6:42 : Guys, is there a video to learn that bind? It looks simple but it goes really fast and i can't well understand what happens.
I love your channel btw!
We have not taught that bind yes, but it will probably be in out next bind video.
Can i do this trick with an Responsive? Or i need to change to a unresponsive?
any yoyo or bearing is fine as long your gap is wide enough to catch it easy, butterfly wing shape.
