  • Off grid is a popular term these days. What does it really mean? For us, it means finding and cultivating deeper relationships with our environment. Not isolation or prepping for terrible times.
We’re showing you our adventures, mishaps, and successes as we transition from a 9 to 5 city life. We are a family of artists and herbalists living part time van life and in our off grid(ish) tiny home log cabin. We’ve been building our solar and rain powered homestead in central Virginia since 2019, always learning as we grow.
In 2022, we were featured in an episode of Homestead Rescue on Discovery Channel. Moving to our land to live in a schoolbus was a decent sized learning curve, and now, as they say about the show, life must go on.
In this video, as our family’s sojourn in suburbia continues, Lucretia takes a walk with Kiyoshi and meets a particular mushroom for the first time.
Big thanks to ‪@MissMinaOh‬ ‘s video for the inspiration to make this one! Check it out here: • MUSHROOM FORAGING in t...

💚 this was a total surprise find! I’m usually looking for medicinal plant friends so this was an extra blessing. Getting more into foraging for food these days. Will continue to share 🌱

Lovely find! The one by the river sure looks like ganoderma (reishi) mushroom, but no clue which one.

It was delicious! And I thought that was ganoderma. I went back and it had changed. Working on a video showing the difference.
