Off grid is a popular term these days. What does it really mean? For us, it means finding and cultivating deeper relationships with our environment. As Black homesteaders, we want to inspire others by showing you our adventures, mishaps, and successes as we transition from a 9 to 5 city life to van life and in our off grid(ish) tiny home log cabin on our solar and rain powered homestead in progress. We are a family of artists and herbalists learning as we go. Join us!

Being herbalists and artists, we often have to leave the homestead to pursue our other passions and make an income. It is a goal to be at the land more than we’re away. I agree! Both have such great benefits. Right now we’re still dealing with a lack of water. We’ll have to get that sorted before adding animals.
One thing one thing that is so beneficial about this tour is revealing that getting into van life can be a big transition and a process in downsizing. It can take time to sort and just mentally let go and release things. I like that her experience can be so helpful to others in showing the downsizing of one's life. Bravo and thank you. James is delightful as always!👍

This is so delightful to see. Eye candy. My favorite thing is the 6' counter and storage beneath, and how she created that. So inspiring. Love the glitter and how the counter top turned out. Lots of storage in the van too. Love that she has her cards and photos on the walks to enjoy every moment. And how wonderful is the back opened, with the covering that keeps out bugs but allows air flow. Just so many things to enjoy here. And a shout out to the great man who interviewed.
