Hi! I work with neonate animals in a medical setting and we make sure to purchase heating pads with no auto shut off. They are a little harder to find but still can easily be found online. I just wanted to share for anyone who may be experiencing the same issue as the video with a heating pad that keeps shutting off
This 3 part videos were EXTREMELY helpful!! I’m a first time Breeder abs I’ve taken so many notes from your videos! I do have a few more questions. 1. How often do you take mom out to get natural sunlight? 2. What do you typically do with dad since he can’t be with mom and puppies? 3. How soon do you introduce dad to puppies?
Awesome!! We love to know we have helped other breeders ❤️this is why we do what we do. Those are great questions. 1. Mom will stick close by babies especially the first few days. Some moms are more anxious about leaving their pups than others. But after the first few days they will start to go outside more frequently but they usually do not stay out for very long at one time. It’s in their instinct to want to be on watch. Zoe listens to every cry and runs to their aid. So I always let her decide when she is out and for how long. 2. Fortunately our house is set up on 2 separate levels and we are able to keep all of our other pets away from the puppies at all times. This could be more challenging depending on your house and where u decide to keep the babies. 3. In all of our research we have found that it is always recommended to keep ALL other pets away from mom and babies. So we don’t actually introduce our pups until after they have had their 1st set of shots. Even then we don’t give Tua full control of the situation. We are holding the puppy and making sure he understands that it’s a baby and he has to be gentle. We only allow him to smell and lick the puppy. Don’t don’t ever actually let them play. Tua is great with other dogs and we believe would not hurt a fly but these are ultimately not our puppies they belong to other families so we take all precautions. This is really your decision. And it’s all about what you feel comfortable with. I hope this helps. Please stay in touch with updates on your litter. We wish you all the best!!
@@HouseofWrinkles thank you so much for all the information! This was extremely helpful!! Sable had her puppies a few days ago and is doing good! Puppies are gaining weigh as expected! But i do have a few concerns I’ll try to see if I can send u a private message. Hoping you have come across any of this so u can provide some guidance. ❤️
Ok I couldn’t figure out how to privately message you. Lol So I have a puppy that has not pooped in close to 24 hours. She has peed and I have given her a couple of drops of KARO syrup. Can you tell me how long it normally takes to work and when should I start getting concerned?
This happens very often with moms milk. You can supplement with goats milk from the grocery store in the milk section. This is much easier for puppies to digest. Also giving them a hot bath ( avoid getting head wet) relaxes those muscles and helps them poop.
Where can I get heating light or pad ? Kyro syrup? And scale weight ? Do you have links for each. Thanks in advance we have cane Corso and we find out if she’s pregnant? Want to get ready
i’m loving the information i’m a new breeder & it’s definitely a lot of work one of my newborn puppies passed away 2 days ago after birth sadly i’m still trying to get a hang of stuff my dog keeps laying on them & not letting them latch on to her so it’s a challenge
I know this video was posted 2 years ago. I just wanted to say thank you. I’ll have my first liter This week. My question is what kind of light bulbs do you use.
I’m a new breeder. My female Frenchie will have her first litter next month. I am so nervous. What are the MUST haves… things I will absolutely need to have on deck? Thank you so much!
Hey! How are things going today. Are u having to bottle feed the little one? Sometimes if momma thinks there is something wrong she will carry them around. Sometimes she’s trying to find a place to keep the babies if she doesn’t like the spot you picked out.
@@HouseofWrinkles will u do a video on your worst experiences and how they could have been prevented for new breeders? Also have u ever felt like the vet ever tried killing ur litter I’ve heard of this here in Houston
My grandma is a retired vet. She told me if the puppies are scattered around and not right by each other or laying on top of each other then the area is to warm. If they are right by each other or on top of each but whining then the area is to cold.
@@HouseofWrinkles our Old English Bulldog just had a liter of 3 last night. She is doing so well with them. Keeping them clean and stimulating bowl movement. She’s making our lives way easier. We are paying close attention making sure everything is going ok! Can’t wait till they are in that playful puppy stage!
its my first time rising a litter of 9 gsd dog's i am nearly on the first week of them being born however some of them are crying so i keep feeding them, they also have a box with a hot warter bottle on under a blanket they do sleep most of the time just the odd one starts to cry and move and it wakes the other up.
I live in the Dominican Republic. I have a neighbor who i share yards with. They lived in the US for around 30 years i think and now they are back in DR and his mom is moved into the apartment next to me. They have 4 dogs. 2 girls German Sheperds and 1 male German Sheperd and one mixed small breed dog. One day i noticed she was getting milk and asked the owner if she was pregnant but he said no. Of course since he only visits his to check on his mom and clean the yard i took the answer with a grain of salt. The owner took his mom somewhere and i have not seen her in 2 and a half weeks. The dog had her puppies after the first 5 days of them leaving and i have been taking care of them since she delivered in a random spot in the yard full of mice, lizards and birds waiting to prey on her puppies. I gave them shelter, the owner visited for three days. Lost two puppies the first 3 days. One passed away over night outside with the mom in a doghouse and the other got attacked by the mom's sister who she despises and is always fighting with. The owner had just chained the mom up away from the babies when the sister decided to sneak and attack the puppies. After that the owner left a day later and asked if i can start bringing them in at night. I do not mind this considering i actually want to keep one of the shepherds. I was just wondering if i should get a cat or dog and stuck with a cat until i was put in this position to care for these puppies. Yesterday which was day 7 of life. At 9 am i put them back outside with there mom. It rained a few times and also she is a first-time mom. (untrained almost wild, before having babies she was always chained up for fighting with her sister who had to get stitches...) I noticed she steps and lays on them and gets up and runs off while they are still latched. At around 8-9 pm at night i brought the puppies inside and noticed that they were not moving much. Usually they will squirm in my hand but they were just laying there as if they had no muscle tone. I got worried and even my boyfriend said they did not look right. I decided to feed them a mixture i got online from another dog breeder with yogurt, evaporation milk. parts water and a egg yolk. After the first feeding they moved a bit more. I fed them again and by the time i woke up in the morning they were moving alot and are not able to scream and make noises. I watched this video today jsut to gain some extra information and you are spot on. Everything i read to save there life yesterday is what you said. I believe the problem could be just lack of feeding. The mother isn't good at it naturally and so now i know i have to step in and monitor and also feed them myself considering this German shepherd is not domesticated so getting her to feed is hard and scarier then the average dog. I do believe there blood sugar dropped. I have honey and am thankful i watched this video because now i know that i have something on hand to help.
Hi umm I just got a puppy and she was born in August 9th, and I need real help bc I don't want her to die 😢, so I have her on a mini box bed with a heating pad under her, she does got space to move away from the heating pad, but it's just feels like I'm not doing it right
I'm not a breeder, I got a puppy outside my house, he was not with his mother, he was crying, he was wet in blood, a 1/4 metre of placenta was attached with him. I rescued him in this condition. I'm very worried about him. I don't have any knowledge of keeping puppies & dog. So can you please suggest me some points about how to feed, how many times to feed, time interval of feeding & taking care of him. He also cries a lot when no one is with him. Today he is 4 days old. I will be very grateful to you.
Do u know how much it weighs? I can give you the amount to feed him if I know what the weight is. It needs to be fed every 2 hours. Goats milk from the grocery store or puppy replacement milk will work. Puppies. Have to be burped. I know that sounds crazy but it’s true. They can get a tummy ache. Just pat of the back until it burps. Also you will need to wipe its bottom to help it pee and poo before and after every bottle.
Man just had a terrible incident with heating lamp. The mom pup knocked it over and fell and it caught towels and wood and burned through even the carpet underneath. The entire room was smoked out before I was able to get there but by the grace of God everybody was fine even mom and the 9 puppies. Pups are 3 weeks and I’m sure any younger they all would have died from lack of oxygen. I don’t not recommend heating lamp just heating pad.
@@HouseofWrinkles Thank you i realized i had LED blubs and needed to purchase one of the old school bulbs. My dog just delivered yesterday and puppies are nice and warm, thank you so much for this video.
Hi there we are a new breeder with a first time momma soon. Our questions is for the heated blankets did you guys put it inside the plastic container under the blanket or is it under the plastic container ? Second, the heated light bulb is it a 50w or 100w ? And what do you have it on continuously ? I appreciate the reply. Thanks 🙏
We put it inside the plastic container The light is a 60watt bulb and no we don’t have both continuously. You need a thermostat to keep a check on the temp inside the container
@@HouseofWrinkles I like the container way instead of an incubator. I’ve seen people give oxygen and even nebulizer machine for newborn. Is that even necessary? As you can tell we are first time Breeder with a young first time momma 😂
I have a few questions. I’m caring for these dogs for my son to his dogs. Have babies one of the mothers I want to say keep passing away every other day.
Thank you for sharing your experience we just had a liter of 6 French bulldog puppies today . Our little girl is a great momma so far, but we purchased heat lamps as well that come tomorrow. I’m wondering if maybe my kennel for them is too big after seeing yours. How big of an area is okay for them?
I mostly have them in a small area to keep them warm. But if your pups are with mom she will probably keep them warm but I would definitely get a heat lamp in case. As they grow they need a larger area so what you have is probably fine.
Please if your doing bulldogs look up how to make your own incubator it’s very easy I have bulldog and don’t recommend this way at all but that’s my opinion
Also you can tell if a puppy is dehydrated by the color of their urine. If it’s dark that means they are dehydrated. It should be a very light clear/yellow color. And all of the babies have great looking urine.
Thank you so much for this information! My female had her puppies 5 days ago and didn’t want anything to do with them so I have been bottle feeding them and one of the pups out of 3 just keeps crying. Almost all day long! The other pups sleep and hardly ever whine. But this one yelps himself to sleep. He’s the smaller one and he still eats and uses restroom. Idk what to do the vet seems to think that he’s not sick that it may be because he wants mom attention but I’m not sure that’s the case because the others do just fine. I have them with a heating lamp but it’s a 250 watts one I have it about 4-5 feet up. Do you think that’s too close or too far? It doesn’t seem like they are too cold or too hot but I’m not sure. How far do you think it should be?
U need to buy a thermostat and put in there. It needs to be around 90 degrees inside their space. Also make sure they have enough room to move away from the heat if they get too hot.
You should try to get a warm wet towel and stimulate the crying baby. She maybe constipated, may need to pee or is dehydrated. Newborn pups cant pee, they need stimulation down there so they can do their thing.
Hi quick question what’s the best way to feed when the mom is not really producing milk I’m trying to bottlefeed but I am a first time breeder I’m just trying to learn and get it the right way
Bottle feeding is best but it does take some work. They don’t always latch on quickly. You really have to find the right bottle/nipple and work with them to get them use to it.
If the whole room is that hot you don’t need a heat lamp. Our room was cooler for us to be comfortable and the lamp provided the heat they needed in their small space.
The room does not need to be that warm. The room can be regular 72 degree temps. The space directly under the lamp will be 85-90. The lamp puts off heat directly underneath it but doesn’t not heat the whole room.
I have questions about milk fever How do you prevent it happening As my girl got milk fever at week 1 was not processing much milk what would you recommend please
Hello, I have a puppy that’s 8 days old. She lost her litter mate so is just her. She won’t poop unless I give her an enema, I only gave her one so far and tons of poop came out. But I took her to the vet and they told me to just to rub her bottom which I do but nothing happens, I rub so much my arms hurt but no poop. Please help me.
There are 2 things you can try 1) give her a couple tiny drops of Karo on the end of your finger 2) run her body under very warm water and massage her tummy Both of these methods work but not instantly. Sometimes it takes between 5 mins and two hours to see results.
Well there are heated lamps that don’t have an actual light. So they can be used, hot but don’t put out light. Those are perfect. The problem with heating pads is sometimes they go off by themselves and puppies can get cold quickly. Or sometimes they don’t go off and the puppies can’t get away from the heat if they get too warm and it can cause dehydration or death.
Hello thank you for the info you are really saving puppy lives. I have a 1 week old and she keeps aspirating everytime she drinks from the mom. Should of take her away from the mom and start to bottle feed if so can I still have some interaction with the mom dog and the puppy after bottle feeding her?
She’s eating too much. U need to only let her eat about half the time she is currently eating. Or stop her frequently during feedings. She is eating too much too fast
If u do decide to bottle feed. Mom will still interact and want to feed her. Sometimes we feed them with a bottle once a day and let mom feed the rest of the day. But the aspirating is most likely from eating too much.
I see thank you. But the puppy barely eats she so skinny because after she aspirates she seems to not want to eat anymore. And she’ll aspirate 5 min into the feeding. And she does not have a cleft pallet from what I can see. I tired to just feed her by herself and she seemed so not aspirate then. I hope she will be okay 😔
Hi, love your videos. I have been breeding about 5 years and just invested in an incubator, Rcom A&I Curadle Critter Pet Brooder MX B 90 N. I have been reading a lot of breeders say that puppies need to stay in the incubator for the 1st 4 weeks. So I'm trying to figure out the routine because obviously puppies need to be with mom's, too. Do you have any advice on using an incubator along with mom caring for puppies? As far as how often they should be placed in the incubator and how long should they stay in there, how much time they should spend with mom et cetera?
@@HouseofWrinkles Hi thanks for ur response, she's now sucking her mama dog's nipple she really want milk, but i observed while sucking she's also like choking. I'm really worried pls help.
@@HouseofWrinkles Hi, its okay. She's better now, i already take her to the vet and they gave her antibiotic and vit because she's having mild inflammation on her throat that's the reason why she can't suck milk from her mother, but shes fine now and yes you are right she's sucking milk so fast hahahah. Thank you so much. Godbless and keep safe. 😘
I am a new breeder and am preparing for when the pups get here in a few weeks. Your videos have been very helpful. I did want to ask, where does your momma sleep during this time? Do you leave her in the same room as them alone while you get your rest at night? Should she be left alone with them at all?
We have the puppies barricaded so she can’t get to them. We sleep in the room with the puppies and the momma usually sleeps close by us or with us. But we never leave her alone with the puppies for fear that she might step on one and hurt it by accident. This is extremely common in the Bulldog breed. They are very clumsy and don’t know how to gracefully move around their puppies without hurting them.
Hi im a first time breeder of english bulldogs and my puppies are 13 days old today. I was hoping you can answer some of my questions. My puppies most the time feed off the mom for 15 to 20 mins is that ok and enough for them? Also i notice my puppies while feeding cry after and don't wqnt to feed anymore after 15 to 20 mins. How often should i feed them at 13 days old and for how many minutes? Please and thank you
I’m so sorry I’m just now seeing this. I’m not sure how I missed it. I hope your puppies are doing well. Please message again if you still have questions. I realize at this point you may have already found your answers. ❤️🐾 I’m so sorry
I’m not sure. Is it only when the light is on? It’s hard to say without being there and observing what’s happening. Maybe turn it down to 83 and see if that helps. Or they could be hungry or need to poop.
My dog just had puppies but my mom is like “ the room temperature is good enough with a blanket as long as the mom is near the puppies “ what she means by near is not right beside it’s like 1 m apart
What kind of dog? Your mom is very correct. Usually if the momma dog is close by she can keep them warm. With English Bulldogs you run the risk of mom stepping on the puppies or laying on top of them. This is why we separate them.
We like the lamp better. If you only want to do one or the other. If your puppies are born in the winter we really recommend having both. But if it’s a summer litter you should only need one heat source.
Hey its me again! I am trying to find what wipe warmer you use, a lot of the ones I am finding on amazon seem to have a lot of bad reviews so I thought I would reach out to you and see which one worked best for you. Puppies are so cute and beautiful!! Thank you
Hi I have a question fo you put a clause that if for some reason the buyer don't want or can't keep the puppy they have to bring it back to you so they don't end up kill shelters?
Great question! I didn’t even think about adding this. @House of Wrinkles - Do you know where I can find perhaps a template of one I can use as a guide?
Hello, do you think the heating pads or light are necessary in India during the summer or monsoons? The average temperature is around 32 degree Celsius.
@@HouseofWrinkles Hello, it will be an indie breed, the predominant stray dog breed found in India. The indoor temperature is around 25-27 degree C on a moderately hot day. However, we do use a ceiling fan. Will placing them over a blanket work? Or, do I need to add a light or heating pad? Also, it's probably going to be a puppy aged between five days and two weeks as per the person who is taking care of them now.
The puppy doesn’t need to be under the fan. 27 degrees is not quite warm enough for a newborn puppy. You may want a heat pad on low for at least 2 weeks and then take the heat pad away. This is if the mom dog will not be with it. Another option is to carry the puppy up against your body all the time. Your body heat will keep it warm enough in those conditions.
Hi. Great video. I've frenchbull pups born yesterday by section. Unfortunately their mum has no milk yet so we are hand feeding them, we are feeding them 1.5 miles every 2 hrs but they don't seem to want it, we do get it into them but it's a struggle can you please advise, should we feed maybe every 3 hrs??? Also any tips to get mum to feed them shes great at cleaning pups but not lying down for them. Any advice greatly appreciated
Hi! Thank you for reaching out. Try feeding every 2.5 hours or 3 ( no longer) make sure mum has a nice quiet, comfortable place to lay. Try rubbing her with a damp cool rag while she’s feeding to get her to relax. How old is mum? When you squeeze the teets is there any milk?

Hi ! Hopefully you see this , my puppies are 8 days old .. they have been really winy today and I notice they are breathing faster than usual.. I’ve tried feeding , burping , having them pee and poo.. I also notice they stop crying if I put them on my bed . But on there’s they cry more and this is my first time having this issue
What are some indicators that my puppies are constipated? The first few days when I was stimulating them I saw poop for all of them but mom is helping a lot now I just don’t know if they’re pooping since I’m not watching them 24:7 are there major indicators to look for
If mom is doing most of the work it will be hard to tell. But if they are all eating well I would say they are probably perfectly fine. If one stops eating you might consider constipation as a factor.

Thank you!! We are excited for next video with their eyes open coming out in the next few days.
I understand on where the puppies are for keeping warming should we adjust the house Temps as well
No. The temp for 85-90 is just for directly under the light where they will be staying.
With that being said if you tend to keep your house very cool then you might want to bring it up to 70-72 just because there may be times you pick them up and you don’t want the temp to be so low in the house that their body temp drops quickly if you move them away from the light for a few minutes

Ok I couldn’t figure out how to privately message you. Lol So I have a puppy that has not pooped in close to 24 hours. She has peed and I have given her a couple of drops of KARO syrup. Can you tell me how long it normally takes to work and when should I start getting concerned?
@@joycevelazquez8509 did you ever figure out what was wrong I have the same problem
This happens very often with moms milk. You can supplement with goats milk from the grocery store in the milk section. This is much easier for puppies to digest. Also giving them a hot bath ( avoid getting head wet) relaxes those muscles and helps them poop.
We’ve just had a litter last Sunday, almost a week old n guess what, 11 puppies it’s bloody madness 🙈 thanks for your tips
Oh my word 11!!! Congratulations!! Bloody madness is an understatement I’m sure 😱

Yes it’s a lot of work for sure. Good luck with your litter ❤️

Hey! How are things going today. Are u having to bottle feed the little one? Sometimes if momma thinks there is something wrong she will carry them around. Sometimes she’s trying to find a place to keep the babies if she doesn’t like the spot you picked out.

My grandma is a retired vet. She told me if the puppies are scattered around and not right by each other or laying on top of each other then the area is to warm. If they are right by each other or on top of each but whining then the area is to cold.
Yes we agree with that 100 percent

its my first time rising a litter of 9 gsd dog's i am nearly on the first week of them being born however some of them are crying so i keep feeding them, they also have a box with a hot warter bottle on under a blanket they do sleep most of the time just the odd one starts to cry and move and it wakes the other up.
Are they staying with mom? Or do u have the babies separated from mom?
Hi umm I just got a puppy and she was born in August 9th, and I need real help bc I don't want her to die 😢, so I have her on a mini box bed with a heating pad under her, she does got space to move away from the heating pad, but it's just feels like I'm not doing it right
Also is it okay if I put a mini blanket on top like a cover?
@@HouseofWrinkles I don't know his weight. Puppie weigh a handful. Is it ok that he makes sounds, he cries?
No normally they don’t cry much. Are you keeping it warm?
@@HouseofWrinkles yes I'm keeping him above a woolen blanket and under a warm yellow light.
Sorry I’m just seeing this. How is your puppy doing??
They are so cute! Is that heat bulb in that lamp? How many watts is it?
Thank you. Actually it’s just your normal 60 watt bulb
I tired getting a 60W light couldn't get temp pass 75
Maybe it needs to be closer. It won’t heat the room just the small area directly under the light.
@@HouseofWrinkles Thank you i realized i had LED blubs and needed to purchase one of the old school bulbs. My dog just delivered yesterday and puppies are nice and warm, thank you so much for this video.
Hi when do we have to provide extra milk for are pups (75% Husky 20% G.Shepherd 5% Akita). Thank you for your reply
Thanks 🙏
We put it inside the plastic container
The light is a 60watt bulb and no we don’t have both continuously.
Hi I’m in uk the syrup you talk about is this karo corn syrup? Thanks
Thank you so much. This 3 part videos were EXTREMELY helpful!!
Your welcome!!
Please if your doing bulldogs look up how to make your own incubator it’s very easy I have bulldog and don’t recommend this way at all but that’s my opinion
We will do that for sure. We have checked into buying one but never making our own. Thank you for the advice.
Very helpful
Just my thoughts! In think the lightning is too close to the pups and not enough space for them to move away if they are too hot and dehydrate....
It’s only a 60 watt bulb. It doesn’t get that hot. Just warm enough to keep the 85 degrees they need.
Also you can tell if a puppy is dehydrated by the color of their urine. If it’s dark that means they are dehydrated. It should be a very light clear/yellow color. And all of the babies have great looking urine.
Quick question, that set up to keep them warm works or is like a incubator?
Incubator is better
Hi i just want to ask what to do because my dog died and she left 2weeks old puppies and we don't know what to do so the can live
Can you please mension the syrup name you were talking about.
Your videos help me a lot being a new breeder. I just had a litter and I am wonder how do you separate the puppies from mom during sleeping.
When the puppies are sleeping?
Hi quick question what’s the best way to feed when the mom is not really producing milk I’m trying to bottlefeed but I am a first time breeder I’m just trying to learn and get it the right way
Bottle feeding is best but it does take some work. They don’t always latch on quickly. You really have to find the right bottle/nipple and work with them to get them use to it.
Hi ,is it safe to leave the heat lamp on more than 8 hours? Or will it be to hot for the puppies
My puppy weeping after feeding..what's the reason
I am living in hot place i an also want to put lamp..what is the room temperate i want to maintain..
85-90 room temp for the first week
The room temperature in 85 to 90.i dont want to put lamp mam
If the whole room is that hot you don’t need a heat lamp. Our room was cooler for us to be comfortable and the lamp provided the heat they needed in their small space.
@@HouseofWrinkles @ 85-90 in a room could the mother of the pups withstand that type of heat or would she have to be in a separate room??
The room does not need to be that warm. The room can be regular 72 degree temps. The space directly under the lamp will be 85-90. The lamp puts off heat directly underneath it but doesn’t not heat the whole room.
I have questions about milk fever
How do you prevent it happening
As my girl got milk fever at week 1 was not processing much milk what would you recommend please
The puppies are so cute
Thank you for this series!
Please will the light not affect the puppies eyes
And can I use any kind of light to keep them warm ???
Not it does not hurt their eyes at all. It has to be a heat lamp.
There are 2 things you can try
1) give her a couple tiny drops of Karo on the end of your finger
2) run her body under very warm water and massage her tummy
Both of these methods work but not instantly. Sometimes it takes between 5 mins and two hours to see results.
What bout having heated pads at night instead of the heat lamp
Well there are heated lamps that don’t have an actual light. So they can be used, hot but don’t put out light. Those are perfect. The problem with heating pads is sometimes they go off by themselves and puppies can get cold quickly. Or sometimes they don’t go off and the puppies can’t get away from the heat if they get too warm and it can cause dehydration or death.
You saved me I almost lost my puppy it was Cold and pale until I gave him a solution of water and sugar
I’m so thankful you were able to save your puppy!
Lol. Zoey the 75-80 lb lap dog. 😄
Are the bulbs just regular 60 watt ? Just wondering since LED don’t put off heat.
Yes just 60 watt bulbs
We only leave puppies with mom during feeding times. Which is 45 mins every 2 hours. The rest of the time is in the incubator.
Is it okay if my 4 day old pups are only defecating 2-3 times a day
Are you able to speak with me via phone or video for assistance! New to this.

Hi may I ask if one the symptoms also is refuses to milk? my 9 day old shih doesn't want to suck milk to her mama dog. Im saad
Yes that can be a symptom of failure to thrive in puppies. You will most likely need to bottle feed.

My cattle dog just gave birth to two and seems like more on the way. What are other heating sources/alternatives?
Heating pad
Is the 2 drops of Karo Syrup A One Time Thing For Constipation ?
No u can do it 3 or 4 times a day if needed
Why does my 3day old puppies whine we the incubator light comes on? It's set at 85*
Thank you so much for your information
I’m not sure. Is it only when the light is on? It’s hard to say without being there and observing what’s happening. Maybe turn it down to 83 and see if that helps. Or they could be hungry or need to poop.
What is the best milk for the puppy’s
The best is Esbilac. Goats milk is next best
Do you recommend heating pad OR heating light? Do you recommend doing both if we’re using a heating pad that doesn’t automatically shut off?
We like the lamp better. If you only want to do one or the other. If your puppies are born in the winter we really recommend having both. But if it’s a summer litter you should only need one heat source.
Did you keep them under that heat lamp like that all day everyday? Or just when they sleep?
All day. Every day. Especially for the first 2 weeks.
@@HouseofWrinkles also while there where eating from mom?
We have an extra lamp in the area where mom feeds. We turn it on if we think they need it and leave it off if mom acts like she’s too hot with it on

Hi
I have a question fo you put a clause that if for some reason the buyer don't want or can't keep the puppy they have to bring it back to you so they don't end up kill shelters?
Absolutely, it’s in our contract that we get them back
Great question! I didn’t even think about adding this. @House of Wrinkles - Do you know where I can find perhaps a template of one I can use as a guide?
Hello, do you think the heating pads or light are necessary in India during the summer or monsoons? The average temperature is around 32 degree Celsius.
What is the temperature inside where the puppies will be? What breed of puppy are you raising?
Maybe a favorite blanket for mum to lay on. No other animals around. They feel safer in a small space that’s away from everything.

They are too hot
What are some indicators that my puppies are constipated? The first few days when I was stimulating them I saw poop for all of them but mom is helping a lot now I just don’t know if they’re pooping since I’m not watching them 24:7 are there major indicators to look for
If mom is doing most of the work it will be hard to tell. But if they are all eating well I would say they are probably perfectly fine. If one stops eating you might consider constipation as a factor.
