I grew Hickory Cane field corn for the first time last year and it did amazing!! It is an heirloom variety that everyone in this area used to grow. I grew it for cornmeal and have so much that I don't need to grow it this year. The seed came from Southern Exposure and I had 100% germination... In fact all of the seed I ordered from them had fantastic germination.

I've been going through my seeds, I'm pumped to plant some stuff, but I'm gonna need a miracle. My God is a miracle working God so I'm expecting a miracle.
I had to move some of my onions because that particular raised bed wasn't draining good at all. With all the rain we've had I noticed moldy spots throughout the bed. I've ordered some perlite and I'm going to add a lot of it to that bed. Thing is I already have high nitrogen in that bed and I have to plant potatoes in it. I don't want to make huge plants and no potatoes. You can't go wrong planting Seminole pumpkins, they are delicious and last a long time in storage.

Travis great video. You should try growing pepita's pumpkins pumpkins grown for the seeds. They have no hull on the seeds they are ready to eat right out of the pumpkin and very healthy. You can get 6 to 7 per plant or more. Just don't cross pollination them. If you do they will grow shells and you want them hull less.

Those seeds will do very well for anyone wanting to play around in the garden and wake up every morning like it’s Christmas Day watching these pumpkins grow up to as much as 75lbs a night!! Those seeds can go from $5-$10 each up to hundreds or thousands of dollars for 1 seed. The 1885 Werner is selling as high as $1000 right now, I encourage anyone who is wanting to have fun and add some excitement to the garden or get the kids involved to grow these giants. Been growing it for 4 years now. Thunderbolt for a extra large Marconi type hybrid. Really good production and great flavor. Gettin the itch up here in Minnesota. Food wise… the candy cane pepper tops my list! Although, I think I’m most excited to see how pretty it is in the garden with its variegated foliage and striped peppers. Grew those King Arthur last year --- best green pepper production I ever had --- could have cut my row length down by half. I also plan to try the Toronjina this year. Started all of my peppers and tomatoes this past weekend, a little early to start but could not wait (just will have to pot them up and keep them in my sunroom if the weather won't break). What I am most excited to try is my new shelling pea. English peas are my favorite thing to eat fresh out of the garden. However, I have been using the same type --- Lincoln mostly --- the past few years here in AL that I use to use in PA. They don't seem that heat tolerant to deal with the quick swing from freezing to 80s that we get here, so I bought a new type (don't remember the name because it is just a bunch of random letters and numbers ) that is supposed to be more heat tolerant. Just hope they are as sweet as the others.

After seeing how well your Seminole pumpkins grew in a video, I figured that some of that in my favorite squash should be amazing, grown in NC. I'll also be trying the Seminole pumpkins.

Solid, well considered choices that you've made. I'm dropping from eleven tomato varieties down to seven, heirlooms and hybrids. Trying a couple of seeded yellow icebox watermelons, Honey Island and Janosik, to grow in 7-gal. containers with a drop string. Also trying Sharlyn, Haogen and Moscatello melons grown the same way. Your Mirasol Mosco pepper seeds are the identical cultivar as you grew last year under the name "Pueblo" chile.

Shaun... consider adding Shelby paste tomatoes to your varieties. It's a Sakata determinate from Hoss. We got about 20 lbs. yield per plant of a well flavored fat Roma type. Very disease resistant. It's one of the main components of our sauce blend along with Bella Rosa, a beefsteak and Italian Heirloom, an oxheart. Put up 60 qts. of sauce last fall, enough to last all year.
