This is the first time I heard Bruce sing and his voice blew me away, from this moment I was a huge fan, I am so sad that Bruce has now left us but his voice will always be remembered, rest in peace and thank you.
Probably one of the best live acts ever! I saw them several times all around Europe and each show would be outstanding. Great musicians - and lots of emotion.. To me one of the greatest bands ever. Hard to imagine that they chose to retire. We need bands like Runrig to keep the spirit of true music alive.
Habe Runrig das erste mal in FR gehört weiss gar nicht mehr wann das war auf jeden Fall war noch munrow der Frontmann 😢 schade das es vorbei ist 18 und Bruce nicht mehr unter uns ist
I was there, I was 16. Summer trip to Scotland with my mum and step-dad, we sailed Loch Ness on week one, from Inverness past Fort Augustus and almost out to sea on the west coast. Week two we stayed in Stirling and went to the Runrig gig. What a fantastic experience it was.
Tornado F 3 fighters in formation, lead plane and wingman in full reheat - it doesn’t get better than that 👍 most probably from RAF Leuchars , St Andrews, Scotland and either from 43 or 111 Squadrons. And now, the F3 and RAF Leuchars and…..Runrig, have all gone. Just really happy memories.
I was there with my brother. Incredible night. Felt bad for Donnie Munro. Must have still been some ill feeling there? Hence the reason he wasnt allowed to sing? He looks uncomfortable being on the stage. And thats tragic given his contribution to this fabulous band and their music. That said, Bruce coming in was in my opinion actually a great move. He brought an energy and his own style which i thought was awesome. Very sad to hear he'd died. RIP Bruce.
All the bullshit about rip off concert prices, probably right but but I would pay thousands to travel back in time and be present at this concert.Connects and tells you that you have a soul.Outstanding on every level.

Jack since you were at this concert, can you tell me. Why did Donnie only come out at the end, and NOT SING AT this concert.
I remember this night well......one of many watching this brilliant band.........
Beautiful no one can beat Runrig ❤️🌹❤️ Love the flypast.🌹❤️
What an amazing night that was! (And when your supporting act is the Royal Air Force... mind blown.)

Has anyone got a translation for the poem at the beginning?
Runrig Day of Days Part 1
Runrig The 30TH Anniversary Concert at Stirling Castle Scotland
The best intro ever ...what a great concert ...Runrig ❤️❤️
Ian, why Did Donnie only come out at the end of the concert, and not perform with them.
freedom
Does anyone know the poem recited during the intro?
@John Henshaw I doubt it. I don't know who the reader of it was, but he certainly doesn't look like Billy Connolly...
That is not Billy Connelly
@@tricademyschoolofmovement2352 his name is Aonghas MacNeacail aka "Black Angus"...
