Thanks for these videos! I am glad you are including Albany more in your videos. Corvallis was where we wanted to end up but we got way more for our money in West Albany! I live in the Takena Estates neighborhood and it is great here!

I'm getting the vibe that this is a really conservative (politically) place. Is that the case?

Hi Chip. I feel like Albany is somewhat conservative politically but the stats I see online say it’s more middle of the road. Most of what I see when i ask a search engine about this is linn county stats, but most if linn county is rural and presumably even more conservative, and a linn county stat won’t include north Albany in it. I don’t know if you’re looking for conservatism or not, but I hope this info/context is helpful:)

I just moved here to the Albany area from Portland and as a Queer person I feel very comfortable here in the Albany area. I used to live in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida so the conservatives here aren't really as extreme as those I encountered in the south.

@@bearrybrandon The best thing to do is just not be over the top with Queer pride and being extra or pushing your views and just try to blend in but also be yourself and accepting of Conservatives and their way of life is respected. Conservatives don't care if you're queer, gay, Trans or whatever you wanna call yourself.. Just let them be who they're and you do you.. Its just when its being pushed on people to accept them in this aggressive or sneaky manor people don't like in more Processive cities. Most people in Linn country are very middle of the road and live and let live. But don't step on our toes type of people.

@@Killswitch1411 I think there is a way for people with conservative views and progressive views to exist in the same city and for everyone to be proud of who they are authentically. I don't think anyone is stepping on toes by being who they are and trying to prevent other people from being who they are. We can all co-exist as ourselves and create a better city!
