- A longplay of Donkey Kong Country 3, all DK coins and Bananas Birds.
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! is a 1996 adventure platform video game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was the final instalment in the Donkey Kong Country series to appear on that console. Donkey Kong Country 3 was released in late 1996 in North America, Europe and Japan. The game was ported to the Game Boy Advance in 2005 with a different soundtrack and added features. The game was released on the Wii's Virtual Console service in North America on 24 December 2007 (unavailable from 16 November 2012 until 26 February 2015), and the following day in Europe as a special Christmas update (was unavailable in Europe from 25 November 2012 until 30 October 2014) as well as for Wii U on 30 October 2014 in Europe, on 26 November in Japan, and in North America on 26 February 2015.

As someone that’s always played the SNES version and didn’t even know this one existed until today this is trippy af lmao
This feels like a fever dream to me

this music...fuuuckking what the fuck
The music is so damn weird
Wow. My grandmother bought me this game almost 10 years ago. I miss her and this game!!!!
:)
Sad
C L i am sorry for your loss😢
What a twist on the end. Still sorry for your loss
She ded haha
I like how the GBA version of DKC3 has its own soundtrack.
Is this game worth getting now? Not sure because of the graphics..
@Azure Plumber my problem is peppy music in Ripsaw. why?
@@nightwish9009 Stilt Village and Waterfall sound good though .Better even!
Azure Plumber I do respect your opinion, but I kinda think that the snes soundtrack was a bit of a step down coming from DKC1 and DKC2. I mean, there are some tracks I really do like but my problem is that most of the tracks literally have a ton of bass, the atmosphere, it fits, but with tracks that have a ton of bass (I think one track is almost entirely bass) it can just sound boring,
The GBA version on the other hand imo, has the better soundtrack since the tunes were very unique and pretty wacky, which does fit the cartoonish style of Donkey Kong. And I think this was a change that had to be made because the GBA speaker and sound would literally blow up because it can’t handle bass like that.
@@gookawild5543 I don't think graphics should concern you.
This was THE game I put the most time in on the GBA. This was my introduction into DKC and I'll forever love this port because of that
Thomas Drew its called dkc not dkc i meant dck
*Donkey Country Kong*
I played Crash Bandicoot Huge Adventure on the GBA instead of this and it's an incredibly similar game, but damn this game I need to play...
@@isaacreid8544 hm. Yes?
Sorry you had to be introduced to DKC through this port lol. Hopefully you played DKC 1,2, and 3 on SNES at some point because those are the real classics.
The yodeling on the ice levels, I was not expecting to hear that.
This was my first game to ever play, childhood memories.
Super late 2005, I get my folks to buy me this and I spent the entire day under the snow, under my blankets warming up to this old game:D Much excitement!
Wow you manage to get a perfect walkthroughs of Donkey Kong County 1,2,3 on both SNES and GBA, I'm proud of you Amy Rose and even your friends are proud of you XD
This game is my childhood! I used to play it when I was in kindergarten.
same!
Came here to hear the Wise-version of the game.
cranky kong is such a fourth wall breaker in a good way!
This game has a very special place in my heart. I got it when I was a kid and i never could figure out how to beat the waterfall boss bc i didnt know the controls to suck water from the waterfall. I would play this game all the time just to come to a dead end at that boss fight. 7 years later of on/off playing and i miraculously found the solution one day. I beat the waterfall boss and opened up the world and went on to complete my childhood dream. The memories this game gives me gets me every time.
Omgg I feel youu, that boss was too much for a child hahaha
The Bonus Room music sounds like something straight out of Toy Story.
I dont like how wrinkly is not playing an n64 anymore, hell they could make it a gamecube for all i care.
@Master Farr this game came out in 2005 though
And that annoying song too
She's playinga a gamecube
Wow i never realised this version has its own ost. Im gona defo play this game
When you're on the cliffside levels, I have to fight the urge to sing "Sweet Home Alabama"
You're mentioning that music, it's giving me flashbacks Man.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1:08:28 - new version of Aquatic Ambiance. Quite good, actually.
This one is more tense for sure. Not like Evelyn Fisher's really mysterious track in the SNES game.
Amy Rose you did a great job complete on 103% Donkey Kong Country 3 same as 102% Donkey Kong Country 2
and 101% Donkey Kong Country you did your best too complete all Donkey Kong Country 1 on 3
well done Amy Rose.
He or she is a really good gamer. Check out the Shinobi runs.
are you able to save your rom? i played an hour and half yesterday but it wont go back to my saves and the rom is blank
Such an awesome game! It never gets old. I can always come back to it.
This was the first donkey kong game I’ve ever played.
Same, it is such a underrated gem
Same, and this game introduced me to video games
I never got pass the boss in the waterfall because my L & R buttons didn't work :(
nxrree sammmmmme
Lol nostalgia
step 1: throw out gba
step 2: get a ds lite
step 3: take out gba dkc 3
final step: put in and enjoy
I never got past that boss either, but my reason is because I didn’t know how to get water from the waterfall. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This game marked my childhood, those were very good times
How much percentage do you get for beating each level by collecting the dk coin and going through all the bonus rooms within it?. Also how much percentage for defeating each boss?
1:14:28 - glitch in letter collection. Player collects last letter and enter bonus barrel before letter animation ends. After he exits bonus level last letter respawned again.
Oh goodness the overworld theme really brought me back to the days where I’d play this game in car rides! My parents played DKC games together before we were born, and bought me DKC3 for the GBA. Always loved this title.
An amazing video! Thank you for posting this! :)
Never played this one on the SNES like I did the first two! Man great memories with this game
Teenage memories I still have this game on my gameboy advance
I like how they added a rotation effect for the tobogan levels
Love how Frosty Frolics & Treetop Tumble doesn't sound serious in this version while it does in the SNES version, and the opposite is true for Mill Fever & Rockface Rumble 😂😂
The nostalgia in all this makes me want to cry I remember playing this when I was like 7 or 8 and couldn’t pass that level with the saws and big ant or bug boss
This was my childhood ❤️
OH SNAP KROCTOPUS!
I threw my Gameboy at the Ripsaw level
Such an amazing classic
The new music is more vibrant but I don't think it captures the tone as well!
Exactly what I came to conclusion too. Nailed it
That’s just because you associate the game with the old music. Someone playing the SNES version after this one would wonder why the relaxing pier music has been replaced by this yogi bear sounding rubbish
Ed Head I've aways liked the old version better even after listening on youtube.
That same grating music plays for every single NPC in this version. It's awful.
@@loregasmic I find everything else in the game to fit even better than the originals. Mostly seeing as this time around the soundtrack was composed by the legendary David Wise.
The way the video ends with k rool being snared in an egg is quite funny
Give Nintendo credit. They could’ve just ported this game to the GBA and let that be it but they completely redid the soundtrack, added a few mini games, added in Pacifico, and even did something with the ending. Good for them!
Of all the tracks in the GBA version of DKC3, Water World (I believe that's the name of it) is my #1 favorite.
@@ryecallan6095 aquatic ambience >>>
And they also did huge mistakes, Bad audio quality (This is GBA's limitations fault so it can be understandable), Bad color palette, the soundtrack, there are tracks that they should've added, like Big Boss Blues (Final Boss theme, The final boss uses the Generic Boss theme) Swanky, Funky, Wrinkly and the Bear brothers are missing.
But did you know this?
They were going to use the OG and the Redone soundtrack, but they couldn't because of the GBA limitations, I will say this, but it is only my opinion.
DKC3 for the SNES is better.
It’s weird watching Ripsaw Rage with such happy music. I played the SNES DKC 3 first but I enjoy the GBA version. But man. That saw.
The music: 🥰☺
The level:💀🤬
Best DKC game imo
Does this game not have a final boss theme?
That bothered me, too! It seems as though Arich and Kroctopus's theme was originally intended to be the final boss theme. I wish someone would do a mod of this game with the music swapped...
Did you play the game just in one sitting?
Memories, sweet...sweet memories
Feels like a bootleg version of the game, which is crazy, because the music still slaps.
The water level for instance. There are some gems here.
Cool Grunty profile pic
cool ! Thank you!
20:00 When I played this level as a kid, my mother asked me to turn off the sound because of that burping noise. 😆
Did David Wise visit Bavaria at some point and learn how to yodel and polka? Because that's what the snow level music sounds like.
i havent played this game in years
nostalgia
My childhood
On the one hand, I love Cranky’s new side game. He gets to show that he’s still got it, even now. Swanky’s revised game, on the other hand, makes me dizzy.
And even Funky has them, too?! And they include his arsenal from DK64?! 🤯
Dixie sounds like Tiny
Nintendorak Yamato Doesn't surprise me, because Dixie and Tiny are sisters.
I already knew it :)
They used Chunky's scream
You mean Tiny looks like Dixie
They reused Tiny's voice clips for Dixie
holy balls , my childhood was amazing
I do wonder how the levels in Pacifica would've looked in the original SNES version, along with Pacifica's submap... were that the case, though, Sunken Spruce would have to have "Enchanted Riverbank" as its theme due to the water aspect
At 1:09:41 the theme Waterworld has a mixture of Aquatic Ambience from DKC in it.
1:27:03 Hey buddy in the squirs showdown how the elephant takes water??? Could you please tell me what kind of button do you press????
Press down + R button
@@jim41184 thank you so much!!!!
25:50 That's straight out of International Karate+
Gaming in a Game Boy Micro in 2011 🥴😅🤭
Back when all you had to do to play the full game was buy the cartridge, no micro transactions or pay to keep on playing stuff
Well, technically, you also had to be good enough to beat the whole game, but even that is still better than micro transactions.
what about shovel knight? you pay once, and get 3 dlc's for free
@@veeeen same with Hollow Knight.
@@veeeen those are fewer and far between
In this version they added an extra stage, so gba versions were an update version of the trilogy games.
Woah they still check on this video
Anyone please could help me? 1:27:16 how can I absorb water, I'm pressing B but it doesn't work, I'm playing it on BGA SIMULATOR
Down or UP +B
You are a super player
Bears are nice to the kong family
This looks SO different from the snes version with the VHS tapes and the Frankenstein in the Rocky's vibe.
Does anyone happen to know how to tell in the GBA DCK3 if all bonus rooms are completed and the DK coin is found on a stage? The GBA version seems to miss the exclamation mark and the DK icon on a stage’s title… Thanks in advance!
It doesn't need one. After you complete a stage look at the flag. If the flag is flying full it means you found all the bonuses. And if their a little gold flag it means you found the dk coin for that stage.

It’s taken me nearly 16 years to realize that those 4 rocks are a volcano with a whole other world 🤯
Dang, the GBA versions have more content than the SNES versions
Nah. The extra crap isn’t worth losing the original music over. This music is so uninspired
@@BryanX64 yeah but still. Honestly I prefer the Snes music.
But looks like shot compared to the 1996 version
@@Aqua.man045 Well the SNES does have better music at least
GBA has better cutscenes but in my opinion i like snes because the game macanics are better and theres better music i also will say the snes has better graphics.
Edit: and in dk 3 k roolstian has a better stream in snes lol
on Kong fuced cliffs you try to skip the O?
I love the donkey kong franchise
Mine is broken. I couldn’t beat the tree boss . Elephant couldn’t took the water 💧 doesn’t works
Old times :")
so in krematoa the kongs just swim in lava?
Jesus the spider pissed me off so much as a kid that I snapped the Gameboy in half lol
My adulthood right here.Memories lol hahaa
17:20 & 03:09:02 Let me hear you scream Ellie. Better than on the SNES.
Don McCullen brutal
That Is 2 growse
I played donkey kong country 1,2,3 at the super nintendo. :)Lol
Vanessa Richard *on
childhood core 😭😭😭😭
banana bird make high-pitched krow sound.
No
No your didn't
Banana bird make sounds like flying
Nope :(
he looks nothing like a krow sound, lol
I remember when I got my GBA
...and Chunky Kong was never seen again.
I will never understand why rare did added or changed sooo much into this version, because whether or not these extras are good, it definitely does’t feel original anymore.
Why was the music in the GBA version so much better??!!! WTF??
Probably that was Rare's farewell to Nintendo, before moving to Microsoft
Because they had David Wise compose a new soundtrack for it. Enough said. (I do like the SNES version’s OST too, but I prefer this one.)
JGS Music psp300
psp 3000
the gba cant handle most music from snes
Seriously? I love the SNES music a lot better. Sure, David Wise composed for the GBA version but it sure wasn't his best stuff especially when compared to his scores for DKC1 and DKC2. Also Eveline Fischer really did a damn good job with the atmospheric tone for the game.
I use to rent this alot from the local movie rental
1:27:06 I want to take water to attack the creature, but I can't, someone can says me what bottoms I should to press to take water of the waterfall please?
Oli Oli w?h?a?t?
L and down.
1:27:00 don't remember the amount of hours I spent to discover how to win that shit. Played this game with 8 years 😁
This game is awsome but you can beat the first donkey Kong country for gba game boy advance but I love this game as well
Barbos's Barrier reminds me of the Spore Spawn boss from Super Metroid
Elephants never forget
Is there cheat for color in donkey kong country 3 gameboy advance game?
Bird
Three cheers for Amy Rose Longplay and Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA) 103% Complete Longplay

This year I went back to play this game (one of the first I received when I was a child). I got stuck because I never undertood how to make Krematoa appear. Now I did thanks to the internet, but I don't have enough gold coins to proceed in the game (I only did the first two levels). I think I have to play all the levels again and look for the missing gold coins 😢
My feelings
Yes
The best version of both the game and soundtrack. My childhood right here.
Omg this is it!!
E a nostalgia ta como? ;-;
I used to own a GBA a long time ago & I had this game & a lot of other games but I took it to a trip to Mexico & gave to my cousin of mine & he took it & I kinda of regret it :( :(
Happened to me too except with my game boy color. My pops got me a N64 as a trade off lol
