These things are great for academic music education, where the students have a keyboard reference at hand. Also, this is probably good for a composer who travels or spends time at his office job where ideas and thoughts may come to mind.
Very useful comparison thanks! Was not aware of the force sensitivity thing before this.
This guy knows how to explain each piano in good details as far as quality!! Thanks man!
There's actually a touch sensitive version of that 4-part folding piano called "Carry-On 88-key Touch". Almost the exact same piano but from what I've heard, it isn't as clicky. Plan on buying one myself.
Can you send me a link to that please? I’ve been trying to find it can’t find it anywhere just find the same version that is in this video
That was the best Video in RUclips regarding this topic😍
Wow, thank you so much for the review! I have been for a while contemplating the flexible piano to practice during my lunch break bc of portability. Now I think that the spliceable keyboard would be as convenient to carry around & is a better choice (bc of your review) over the other ones.
I really want the duo spliceable piano. It's the best of the three
Thanks a lot I was confused, but now I know what I need for beginning
Yaaaay, so many thanks! It's a good product and I want to show it too! Thanks for this review, it's not the best piano(duopiano) but personally I think it's a very good idea. Regards 🎈 🌸
Thank you so much for the review. I am just 14 days at piano..have acoustic on e at home but buying the duo for frequent practice without making the neighborhood stress 😬
Thanks man! I was thinking about buying duo piano and you helped me alot!
I was looking for a useful and cheap version of a piano I can start practicing with. Unfortunately It's hard to get either ones of these in my country. Thx for the infos.
Good stuff. I am a beginner and a traveller. Really wanted this video
Nice comparison, at least I know what to avoid and even better...why it's better NOT to rush into anything! Now I'm subscribed and already an informed consumer!!!
Thank you for showing all the different kinds if piano. I live in a very small place, I am trying to find a piano that I can play but able to put it away when I am done. I like the Duo piano the best. Pricey though.
awesome.. love it !!!
In a few weeks the key of my roll piano broken, perhaps the folding or duo better but the price quite expensive...but I look for portability which haven't found in the rollup
Very useful comparison!
Great just got the rubber made keyboard for my grandson. But need one for Grammy. Very useful reviews. Thank you!
I really liked the last piano here! The splicing form factor is great for balancing quality with portability.
Me too
He is most hardworking person I ever seen on you tube
thanks for the great review video
I just found out that there is a similar item called "Carry-On 88-Key Folding Piano and MIDI Controller", wonder what would be the difference
Very informative review:)
Can you do a review for the Konix PJ88 foldable piano?!??!
Very helpful video 😀
Great information
Thanks
Nice review 👍👍
Думал купить складную, но спасибо, что показали, что там нет чувствительности к силе нажатия.
It was a very good presentation! Thank you! Peter, from Hungary
Which is better: blackstar carry on 88 key floding piano and midi controller or Yamaha reface yc for using FL studio ?
A lot of useful info.
Over the years I find that the rubber roll-up is a great toy to get a child interested playing piano. When it comes to serious learning have to think about it. Like all toy keyboards, the action is too far from a real piano. You want a keyboard with semi or fully weighted keys as early as possible so that your can master your techniques. Otherwise you learn to play to accommodate a rubber keyboard but not the way you're suppose to play on a real piano.
Very helpful videos.
Glad it was helpful!
Great review, helped me a lot, thanks.
The DUO Piano is still up for grabs! Go to pianohooks.com/p/prizes and Enter to Win! (Draw will take place on April 30, 2021)
can you tell me if it is possible to remove the battery (talk about the foldano). Im considering taking this with me when i am on a business trip. but when you are on an airplane you cant have batteries in your suitcase (only in your hand-luggage)
Are the Foldano and Carry-On folding keyboard the same thing under different names? Same with the Korg Carry-On?
Hey its me again im getting a costzon foldable piano on Amazon because i used to have the foldabo but half of the keys don't work so I am upgrading to a better foldable piano
Thank you so much for a such a great comparison !!! Like fresh air ))) I was just going to buy keyboard for practicing in travel, and couldnt understand what I should choose, so, thank you so much ! 🙏🤗🌷
P.S. Could you please tell where is it possible to buy Duo piano ? Im staying in Japan 😀
You are welcome! I purchased the DUO piano at duopiano.ca. However, seeing as how you are in Japan, and the Japanese have amazing technology, there may be some great options in music stores near you!
@@PianoHooks Thank you for your advice ! 🌷
cool, do you sell roll up piano and foldable piano too?
where to by duo ?
What is the weight of the DUO Piano Spliceable Keyboard?
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
can you plz share the link or the name of the last digital piano
The DUO piano was purchased at www.duopiano.ca.

Thanks a lot and I wanna ask you the brand name of piano duo and from where can I buy this one
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
Thanks for the video. I'm interested in the DUO Piano Spliceable Keyboard and would like to know the exact name or store-link where I can find it?
They seemed to have disappeared 😕 I will be looking for other options and reviewing in the near future.
I didn’t see if it has headphones slot, or if possible to connect to any speaker to know the sound change
It does have a 3.5mm headphone port.
I prefer the roll up piano because it is handy, you can carry and play anywhere.
Don't buy it. I had one and it is horrible. I gave it away.
I WAS SO SCARED I ORDERED THE SECOND ONE, THEN I REALIZED I ORDERED THE DUO PIANO. THANK GOD.
Link? Thank you.
Hi thanks for the video. I am a lady with big hands looking for a suitable roll up piano right now. Have you found a silicon piano that has size of actual piano keyboard?
You are welcome. I have not found a roll-up piano that would be suitable. Please see some of my other reviews of keyboards that may work for you.
What brand is the piano duo you show? Link? Thanks.
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
Can you please tell me where can i buy one of those DUO Pianos? The official website or something and if u bought yours there. Thanks
I purchased the one for the review from here: duopiano.ca/
@@PianoHooks But be aware... They pretend to be Canadian, but they ship from China ! So it is not a Canadian quality product, it is Chinese.
bora 88 keys splittable, same product, half the price.
Hey I have an acoustic piano so does that mean the volume on my piano goes more higher and more bass than these?
Acoustic pianos definitely have a different timbre (tone quality), feel and dynamic range of digital pianos. When it comes to volume, it really depends on a few factors, including size and quality of the built-in speakers of the digital pianos. And with your acoustic piano, depends on the sound board and quality of the instrument build. With regards to the number of keys, they should all be 88.
Cooll review. Where can I buy the duo piano? How much does it costs?
Hello, I purchased the one for this review at duopiano.ca
Can it connect to an Ipad Pro to be used as a midi controller?
Not that I know of, because iPad's don't have a USB port to plug the keyboard directly into the iPad. If you are able to find a cable with two "male" ends, one being an iPhone plug and the other being a micro-USB plug, perhaps it would work. I use my Roland keyboard as a MIDI controller via a USB interface. I will do a review on that in the near future ;)
Yes it can if you have a camera connection kit.
Is the giveaway still one.. I follow all of your instructions
Hello, the giveaway is done based on comments on the the individual videos. Goodluck!
What is the brand of the duo piano. It is Lexington?
I believe it was a Chinese company. There were ads on Facebook once upon a time, but I can't find them anymore.
Where can I obtain a Duopiano spliceable keyboard in Canada?
Hello, it seems this company may have changed to www.clavierpiano.com/
The keyboard is now quite different. I will most likely do a review of this one soon.
The Instagram account has changed! Be sure to follow me @pianohooksofficial
Which brand is the duo spliced?
The brand is the DUO (TM), but it doesn't seem to exist anymore. Stay tuned for my next review of a folding keyboard.
Can the duo piano carry on the airplane? It has the rechargeable battery
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
but can I outboard it to an amp? good vid
There probably is a way to connect these to an amp. The only thing is they don't have 1/4" outputs so it would have to be done via USB interface.
What about midi port on duo?
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
The duo piano doesn’t seem to be available for purchase on Amazon, and their FB page seems to have been neglected for the last three years. And I couldn’t find a business website when I did a google search. I wonder if there is a similar product available anywhere?
It seemed to have disappeared a while back. There are similar options, including a couple that I have reviewed on my channel.
@@PianoHooks could you share the names, please and thank you. 😊

Do you have the link to buy the duo piano?
It seems to be no longer available. I did some searching and it is either sold out everywhere or the links don't work.
no link for the duo piano?
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
Trying to find your instagram but it’s not showing up. Would love to win the duo if possible but anyone would be great. Hope it’s not too late. Terrific reviews. I’ve subscribed
Found your instagram! Didn’t realize you changed your name handle
Where do you get the Duo piano. I want to save up money to buy one for my friend. Her parents keep banning her from playing the ones they bought for her because "they paid for it." But she really loves playing. So I want to save up my allowance and buy a Duo Piano for her.
Don't get her any of these. They're garbage and a waste of money. At the very least look at a Yamaha ypg-235, it has only 76 keys but will have better quality and action and for only 200$. For a full piano experience, get her a Yamaha p-45, they are full size and go for around 500$.
Guitar center sells the foldable one
I will be reviewing more inexpensive keyboard options in the upcoming reviews.
Is there anywhere the duo piano can still be bought? I can't seem to find it online
It doesn't look like it. But the next keyboard I am reviewing is similar, as it folds in half.
@@PianoHooks Fantastic, can't wait
and the duo piano link ?
amzn.to/3FtQ9MF
Thanks. That's an good and informative Video. I'm really interested in the duo piano and would like to know the exact name or store-link where I can find it if possible ?
Best regards,
Richard
Thanks for the comment. It looks like the old URL no longer exists, and I cannot seem to find another link. Feel free to check out some of my other keyboard reviews for other options.
I'll take the last one Duo piano
And I think it is in want of an electric piano
play us some ragtime.. :-)
Waiting for the big model to be played by foot.
👍😎
Is the splice keyboard have weighted keys?
They are not weighted, but they are touch-sensitive.
Suena como un juguete barato para niños.
Now to find the last one, the duo piano seems to be the best.
The second one horrible, I couldn't get past the clicking of the keys. The first one was okay
Its me again so now we have a real piano and it beats all of them acoustic pianos even when their out of tune its over
2 years on, whats the verdict on the Spliceable Piano? oh.. and do we have a winner in claiming them yet? haha hoping against hope 2 years on 😅
The draw was done a LONG time ago. There may be more in the near future. Stay tuned!
The roll out keyboard is not great for beginners. Without touch sensitivity, the new student cannot work on dynamics and will effectively train themselves to ignore that important aspect of music making.
Touch sensitivity is very important to develop good technique. However, to play around with sounds and music in general, it has a place in the world ;)
The fold piano looks like a clavichord
Folding clicking sounds like a pc keyboard
and the pedal has a mouse clicking noise
To sum up, in the name of god don't buy any of these, they're all terrible. Gees!
What if I go on vacation and I need to practice?
I have one and I can say that it is trash
I'd get the 73 key Yamaha p-121
@@aight365 yeee, how do I put that in my suitcase for travel????
The point of this keyboard is for travel if u didn't already get it... -.-
Just buy an acoustic one
Lol. _None_ of these are good for a beginner, they all reinforce bad habits and just sound terrible. The lack of dynamics is especially damaging. You learn the instrument you're playing - if your instrument has a deficit, it's going to be a poor imitation and reinforce bad habits for one that does. And in general, if it doesn't even sound good, why would you want to continue to learn on it? Just buy a decent midi keyboard or digital piano ffs, it's not that much more or even cheaper.
You make a great point here. Having a great instrument to start the journey can really make a big difference, provided that the will and desire to learn and practice is there. An instrument such as the ones reviewed could be an inexpensive way to "give it a solid try" and see if it is enjoyable. To get a solid keyboard/digital piano to start, most of the entry-level instruments with the capabilities you list above start in the several hundred dollar (CDN and USD) mark. This is a bit much to spend for most. But then again, if someone is already willing to spend $300+ on one of these, it may be worth saving up more and get something with more longevity and function.
I will discuss this in an upcoming video. :)
@@PianoHooks I always tell adult beginners that if it doesn't work out and your instrument ends up gathering dust, any kind of instrument makes a fantastic gift for kid nieblings, or anyone really. It's one of the few things in electronics that don't go obsolete, the first keyboard synths are still used by production musicians. Imo every kid should at least have access to a keyboard, and guitars are just fun regardless. Sorry for the harsh tone, I get snarky online lol
